Ed and his staff at Castle Glen are the best! If you are looking for a wonderful, relaxing time at a beautiful location with some outstanding wine, you have to give them a try. You won't be sorry.

I would highly recommend Castle Glen. Ed was very accommodating and the property is beautiful. I lived for many years in an oceanfront home in Long Beach Island NJ and now live on the bay in Marco Island, Fl, so I know something about beautiful properties and Castle Glen is absolutely lovely. We were greeted by and had a wine tasting with Amber, who was a wonderful host and a very sweet person. We enjoyed her company (and Charlotte's!) very much.

I never visited. I sent an email asking about hosting a party and never got a response. Then I got a million emails asking me to rate the winery. So here is your one-star review that you've been harassing me for.

We have visited Castle Glen several times. Their Merlot and Cabernet are our favorites. We also enjoy sitting on the back screened porch playing any of the board games they have available.
One of the only wineries close to Richmond with a good dry red wine.

Definitely impressed with Castle Glen! Loved the family atmosphere and pet friendly environment. The wine slushees are wonderful and enjoy the live music.

The staff and owners are always polite and helpful. I enjoy the events they provide either the live band or the petting zoo. I have always had an enjoyable visit. The outside area is calm and clean.

Castleglen wine is the best! We love the Christmas wine!!!(Any time of year) Everyone I have interacted with has been wonderful! We hope to see them at the festival at Shenadoah Caverns this Fall.

We enjoyed our stay at Castle Glen Estates! Unforeseen issues delayed our arrival, still, Ed graciously met us and opened up his store to us after hours. We love the variety of wines we bought - yum!! Their 3 dogs were super friendly and didn't scare our timid little nugget. We were the only HH guests that night so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Enjoyed eating dinner outside our camper at sunset, gazing out at the huge grassy field, listening to the coyotes in the woods in the distance. Clean, level parking, friendly, and great wine! We would def return. We have a 32ft class c rv and did not have an issue with the railroad tracks as others have mentioned. Very quiet = great night's sleep! :)

The website is not very useful. It gives you a option to buy event tickets but there are no events.

I was day visiting with a friend. Had never been to your winery. I live nearest a winery in Northern VA, plus the 30+ wineries in Loudoun County are about 35 miles from me.. Castle Glen makes some of the best wine that I've ever tasted. I would return there in a heartbeat and sample more, and get several bottles. Please visit them if you are going through Doswell / Ashland / Thornburg area. You will not be disappointed!

This is an excellent venue for wine tasting - the service, the wines, and the food were all amazing!!
