We were able to select all of our flooring in that one visit. It all was done on time and looked great. I would not hesitate to return to Carpet One again.

We recently bought laminate flooring at Carpet One in Sioux Falls, SD. Janelle was our sales person. We asked a lot of questions - she answered them all in language we could understand. We believe we have the most beautiful kitchen and living room floor. Thanks Janelle! We'll be back.
Purchased hardwood flooring from Carpet…
Purchased hardwood flooring from Carpet One. Signed contract on 8/10 and flooring delivered on 10/7. Installers came on 10/11 to install flooring and found out that the baseboards were not wide enough for the variance so had to be reordered. Carpet One ordered the wrong width baseboards for the flooring we ordered. Took 4 weeks to get the correct baseboards all the while my house was in disarray. Installers came to install baseboards on 11/8 and found that they were short 50 ft so could not finish the job. Again Carpet One made an order error. Finally finished the job on 11/15. It took 5 weeks to finish a 3 day job due to Carpet One ordering errors. The best they could do was give us a $400 credit. The only positive thing was that the installers were great and did a great job although they had to come 2 extra times to finish the job.

2 years i have been trying to get carpet one to come back some improperly layed laminate for the third trip. they make promises then opped up out of know where nd said i owed them $100 from 2 years ago (first i heard of it) guess its time for an attorney
Paid to do my own work?
I had two floors done by carpet one. I was going to get 4rooms done but this last time they wouldn't put my doors back up? Said it was my job? I wouldn't use these clowns if my life depended on it! I am so glad they show me who they were before I had them do anything else for me Don't USE THEM!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Installed laminate flooring 2 yrs ago and never came back to finish the trim. I called several times and Chad finally said they would come in a couple of months when things slowed down. That never happened. My health got bad, and my floor got worse. When cancer was gone, contacted Chad again an played email tag for months. He said I should have taken care of this years ago...yes, YOU should have. He says my floor is falling apart due to animals. It's not. Subflooring was to be replace and it wasn't. He will not honor warranty. Never finished trim. DO NOT GO THERE. You'd have better luck buying flooring at a Kmart.

We bought our carpet from Carpet One on Camp Bowie. It was for one room upstairs and the stairs going down to the living room. The installer was not told by the salesperson that is was an open stairwell. That means the team that came could not do it. They sent someone else the next day. It was terrible job. You can see all the staples and they globs of the glue on the carpet. It will not come up. I would never recommend them to anyone!

I won compensation from these people after they did an absolutely appalling job on my flooring.
They basically stopped taking my calls when I voiced my concerns so I took legal advice.
During my research in setting up the case with the Lawyer, I was staggered at the amount of people who had issues with them - people involved in every aspect of the flooring industry.
Avoid.
Never again.
We were quoted 14,000 dollars for putting tile in our home. We estimated 1800 sq feet, so the sales rep used that to calculate cost including tear down, take away and labor. Then once we agreed and put 5,000 dollars down she came and measured. She then quoted us 17,000 with carpet. So we asked if she was off on her measurement and again we want the tile we picked out. She then said she had made a mistake and it would be 26, 000 dollars. She never did anything to try to make this right. We asked what her measurements were it was 1744 sq feet, which is less than our estimate. So how could she be so far off? She couldn't answer that, and she also couldn't give me my 5,000 dollars back... it has to be approved through headquarters and then they will mail the check. It has been a nightmare. I would never use this company again. I can't believe how incompetent the sales person is. Her name is Julie and she works in the Rogers AR store. Do not bother with them.

My experience with Harry Katz floor and carpeting of Mineola was a pleasure. From selection to purchase to measuring to delivery to installation was excellent, The installers arrived on time. They were courteous, and very talented at what they do. Clean-up was a pleasure as well, cutting up the old carpet and padding into manageable bundles and leaving all at my curb.

When we got it, laminate floor looked darker than picture, so we’re placing in basement office instead. I would suggest to take sample home. The sales representatives did offer some sort of exchange deal but we couldn’t find anything in same color shading match. I would recommend them.

Shambles
I requested a quote for curtains in my apartment - I advised that I was a first time curtain user and was looking for curtains that would provide darkness to the room and let in breeze. No advice was provided that would suggest I had chosen the wrong fabric.
The installation of my curtains was a shamble - I found out they were planned to be installed the following Monday by walking in one Saturday as I hadn’t heard anything for over a month. No one checked whether I was actually available to let the installer in on the Monday - I had to rearrange my work day to facilitate.
At no fault of the installer - he was given the wrong attachments and wrong tracks to install the curtains, plus the curtain had been incorrectly made - wrong size.
So on the second attempt I advised that I was not happy with the service, primarily as their was no customer service, I heard about their house and furnishings but no acknowledgement of complaint. At this time I noted that the curtains were different lengths. I was told they would drop out - I accepted this. They haven’t.
The curtains are so heavy I either need to sleep with them open to get a breeze or use air conditioning - neither was the original purpose. I am now sourcing an alternative option after having paid too much for poor service and poor outcome.
Yesterday I received a phone call to enquire why I hadn’t paid the second amount - this is now 3 months later - I assumed it had been paid as I had previously provided credit card details and hadn’t heard anything in 3 months. The lady was rude and when I advised that I was not happy with the product or service the response was simply ‘you need to pay’ with no interest.
I cannot recommend the curtain department of this store to anyone and strongly disagree with their website statement to ‘Talk to an expert’.

I purchased $3,800 worth of tile based on the sample at their showroom floor. When it was delivered I noticed there were 5 boxes of wrong tile and many pieces were seriously flawed! I reached out to the sales rep immediately to explain that the order did not match what I originally ordered and they look defective! After taking some tiles to him to view he continued to deny any defect! He actually said “your looking at the tile through a microscope!” So now they won’t process a claim and said I’m responsible for $2,000 to return it! Also if I want the rest of my missing order I must bring back the wrong boxes THEY delivered because they won’t swap them out even though I paid an extra $125 for delivery! Very poor customer service!

We couldn't have improved our experience with our local Carpet One store. New to the area and facing a new build project, we stopped at Carpet One because they were open on Saturday. What a lucky move that was! Ben Palter has become a friend and trusted ally. He had local connections that allowed us to find a hardwood craftsperson and other local gems. His humor, knowledge of the products he sells, and wholehearted advocacy for our vision and our needs made him one of our Port Townsend family. He has called us with important information, shared wisdom about choices of tile we were considering and helped us design, plan, and execute a wonderful look for our new house. Unqualified recommendation from us.

I decided to leave my review on this site because the previous reviewers were less than complimentary and I wanted to try to balance that out a bit. Our experience was top-notch from the time we walked into their showroom until after our carpet was installed. They did not try to push any particular carpet or pad on us and just listened to our needs. An appointment for install was made and the installers showed up right on time. They did a bang-up job installing the carpet and worked fast. They removed the old carpeting and pad and really cleaned up everywhere they worked. I had some questions afterwards and got very speedy answers to my questions from Carpet One, both via e-mail and phone.

August 4th - Peter from Sault Ste. Marie came to my home to take measurements and verbally said that he would send the quotes via email the next day
August 5th - a receipt for the materials I bought that same day was emailed the next day but no quote
I sent a screenshot of the hardwood flooring that I wanted from Carpet One that I found online
August 18th - I went to Carpet One to ask about quote and told by the end of the week
August 21st - went in person to get quote and told to phone at 9:00 on Saturday morning and ask for Peter
August 22nd - phones Saturday morning at 9:00 to be told that Peter was not due in until 9:30
August 22nd - phoned and spoke with Peter who assured me that the quote would be completed in 5 to 10 minutes - he also told me that he would send a quote of the hardwood flooring that he found - I asked for a quote for the one that I found, and he replied that he did not receive my email with the screenshot
I forwarded the original email with the screenshot of the hardwood flooring and phoned to make sure he received this one - he confirmed receipt of the email with the screenshot of the hardwood flooring and said that the quote would be sent today
Carpet One is closed, and I have received no quote
Is this how Carpet One does business?
I have been a loyal customer to Carpet One since Bob Macmillan ran the store in Sault Ste. Marie...what has happened to this location?

Was given an estimate from carpet one in west Chester pa. For lvt flooring them got an estimate from Avalon flooring for the exact same foor and it was half the price. Carpet one is just ripping people off.
