I took the nail technician course, and I found that I had to do a lot of extra online research on techniques and product. The product that was supplied was of medium quality. I found it to be too expensive for what I received. Had I done more research on the front end, I would have gotten myself certified in builder gel only. Two parts of the nail technician course (nail dipping & acrylic) did not apply to me, so it was not worth the cost.

The course is well thought out and full of essential information. I feel well supported by the tutors who are very approachable and knowledgeable.
I feel very fortunate to have chosen the Canadian Beauty School.

I’m having so much fun doing this course! I’ve learned so much already and not even done yet. They’ve done such great work at helping and giving great feedback! Help throughout the course is amazing.

CBC is a great spa for for a manicure and pedicure! They also have other great spa services! If you want.to save alittle money, book a graduated student. If not, book a senior estatitian for alittle more money. Their spa products are brand name and high quality. I love this location, I have been going since 2017. Always love my experiences at this spa! I always note how well taken care the customers are. Aim to please! Love all my experiences and all the services I have received here! Thank you CBC for all the care and class you bring to your spa!

I found there was never any support when navigating through the course, they do not help you to find solutions to issues. My LED lamp broke, due to the companies own malfunction issue, I asked for a replacement and was never sent one, I followed up and still didn't hear back. I also asked for help multiple times and someone from Australia would call me at 2:00am, I am in Canada! Then when I would try to book an apt to speak with a tutor, they told me I missed my 2:00am apt so they don't have much time to help. I told them multiple times that I am in Canada, and they would still call at 2-3am! This was not okay. Spent a lot of money for nothing.

ZERO STARS - I just wanted one simple email about the price ... I received over 20 calls from different numbers related to the school which I blocked all of them, 6 emails in a day and a few texts before I had the chance to block the number . You have been blocked you crazy school leave me alone.

So far I have loved this course and am very happy with how I have been growing as a person and finally getting this course done that I have been talking about for a long time now!!!

I recently enrolled in the nail tech course. Right from the start Kat was such a huge help and support to get started. She clearly explained every aspect of the course, the ins and out, and made me feel very confident with my decision to enroll.
Her vibe and overall personality was very comforting stepping into a whole new world of nails for my self. Kat even helped with the logistics of getting the application filled out.
I am very thankful for her help!!
Just starting in the course I’m finding it very informative and very descriptive! I’m looking forward to diving in more to this course!

Its self placed and easy to do

The only thing is finding the time and models for the assignments but that's only because I work 5 days a week.

The Canadian beauty school is just right for you if you have the patience and drives to teach yourself how to do your program (I did the nail technician course first and will be doing the tattoo course as well)

The school has updated its structure to complete sequencing (you must finish task one to get to task two and so forth) which I don't have an issue with as far as assignment unlocking - however it was very displeasing to note I could access anymore notes until doing more practical work which isn't always what I have available time or space to do - it's easier to make time for book work more frequently so if this pacing may slow you down (like me) or if you just plain don't like working that way these courses may not be for you.

Beyond that the course supplies are student quality and as such are not top of the line (as of February 2025, when my kit for nails shipped) this makes removal easier and prevents clients from having your first few application attempts stuck to them prolifically. That being said once the course is completed before working on real clients in a business setting nail products will need to be replaced / upgraded.

I also recommend asking the student Facebook group for what materials not found in your course that will help beneficial to your learning. (Ie. dental bibs, ring light, phone stand for recording, nail polish clips for soak offs, other gel colours, online barbacide certification etc.)

Over all the course is great for what it is. Depending on where in Canada the "Print-your-own" certificate you get upon completion is NOT considered a nail technicians license as there is NO ITA number associated with your schooling.

So if you know exactly what you're purchasing beforehand I'd 100% recommend the school to anyone I know - I just know when I enrolled I wasn't aware of most of the things in my review :)

So far I have ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS!!! I started the Nail Technician Course with the Canadian Beauty School On August 27th of this year! (2025!) & Everything you learn is explained super easily and in ways that it makes it extremely easy to understand!
I couldn’t ask for no better!
If I were to recommend a school it will definitely be this one! (Which I already have done! 🥰 )

After I finish the Nail Technician Course, I will be going back to where I Started my Beautician Roots all the way back in 2018 and Re-Starting my Hairstylist Journey to become the Hairstylist I would LOVE to be!

Since joining this course I’ve convinced one (so far ) of my friends to Join with us into the Nail Technician Course! & I have one Currently Looking into Doing the Eyelash Extension Technician Course! And so far all Positive Feedback From them as well!

I've been on assignment 1 for 4 months and it keeps getting rejected now I can't move forward until I pass it

I have loved the self-paced aspect of this course. As a stay-at home of 4 kiddos I needed something that would be flexible and attending an actual course was not an option. I appreciate the affordability and how amazing their support team is. I have always had a passion for nails and this course has given me such motivation to move from hobby to profession. The in depth videos are very thorough and when I receive an assignment back with the comments I get so excited to hear a real life person look at my work and give constructive comments. I have grown so much since signing up and I have not had any regrets. I would definitely take the leap and go for it !!!

I enjoyed the outline of the course, there's documents that outline what the videos are about, and videos to show you how its practically done. The assignments aren't too difficult and it is a good balance between videos and reading.

I’ve love being in the course I have so more free access I get to make my own schedule and make me less stressful on me I can’t take my time and practice before I send in my assignments

From the beginning, getting enrolled to receiving my kit it is a great experience. The people who were there to answer my questions were always helpful.

i love my course so far, its so easy to follow and the structure is nice to follow. i live in québec so i was afraid that the course in english might be hard to follow, but its easy and well explained.

Can work at my own pace, they send a kit with everything you need to succeed.

Really easy to follow, comes with necessary products and offers many different services! Only reason for the star off is because the certificate doesn’t apply at certain supply stores which is annoying! Overall I am very happy that I enrolled in this course and I am excited to see where my nail tech journey takes me!!
