Booked a last minute villa in Cannes. Made payment. Bank confirmed transfer was complete but this company claimed they did not receive money before banks closed for the weekend. Asked me to Wire them more money to avoid them cancelling and charging 50%. Come Monday, still claimed funds weren't through. Our bank did an inquiry and confirmed funds were received by their bank.

Long story short, save yourself A LOT of stress and DO NOT even entertain booking through these scammers. We are still waiting for a refund!!

booked a rental villa through CalvoTravel.com, used whatsapp and email for communications for instructions to send money by wire transfer.

Even after I received confirmation of booking they cancelled staying I was late completing some additional forms. They said they would issue a refund but to keep booking I could pay the same amount directly to property manager first. I got suspicious and asked for refund. Waited and they are now giving excuses of not providing timely refund (now saying it could be a month). They refused to provide confirmation if refund etc

This is a scam site. PLEASE DO NOT USE.

I have reported to UK actionfraud and will be contacting spanish cyber authorities also.

We booked a group trip to villa marina cristal minimalist via calvo travel. Booking was cancelled and apparently held for if we would like to pay again but via bank transfer this time for the same amount which has already been paid.

Do not use this site!!

Total Scam – Confirmed by the properties. Avoid CalvoTravel!
Do not book anything with them. This is a fraudulent website with prices that are too good to be true. I had doubts and contacted the actual establishments directly; they explicitly confirmed that this site is a scam and has no right to sell their rooms. They demand bank transfers instead of credit cards, luring you with a fake 20% discount. They will relentlessly pressure you via WhatsApp to force the payment. Stay away!
