We contacted Faye to help us with our very anxious Romanian rescue dog. We had tried a couple of other dog trainers previously but they were not for us at all. Faye's pre visit questionnaire was beyond thorough which meant that when she came to our house, she already had an array of techniques ready for us to utilise. Once Faye had finished the session, she then emailed all the things we had discussed, with detailed notes about all the techniques we had used, so we could continue the training in between sessions. It is quite hard to remember things once your dog trainer has left so the emailed notes were invaluable. We print them off and still use them for reference. The kids can then help with the same things too which all helps with the dog training. Faye explains the reasoning behind the techniques she recommends, so you understand too, which as a first time dog owner, I really appreciate. Faye is supportive in between visits too answering any queries (we booked a series of training visits as a block booking).
Faye also suggested changes to our dog's main food and treats. These changes have had a massively beneficial impact on our dog's health. Switching to natural treats and higher quality kibble have hugely improved some medical issues he had always had for the 2+ years that we have had him. We have not been back to the vets with his recurring issues since changing his diet.

I cannot recommend Faye highly enough. Our dog is much calmer, less anxious and is less reactive when people ring the bell or visit (his biggest problem) and we continue to use the techniques to de-sensitise him to these things.

Faye is passionate, knowledgeable, thorough, personable and very professional in her work. I only wish I'd found her sooner. A fabulous dog trainer.

Very pleased with the advice from CTPD on how to prioritize training for our reactive boy who is also often hyperaroused. It's the right place to go if you've tried a few things that haven't worked out so far!

I had been following Faye in social media and likes her no-nonsense but compassionate methods so sought her advice to tackle our dogs barking in the house. We had seen another trainer but there was still a missing piece that the things we were already doing were not tackling. Faye’s pre-consultation form was really in-depth which made it clear her consideration of the problems were having would be really thorough. We then had an online consultation when Faye asked more questions and I feel really got to know us. She had even been through our social media images to see if she could identify any issues in our dogs body language. She offered a selection of options things to explore to establish the cause of our problems and solutions that were realistic for us to achieve and mindful of the things we had already tried and been doing. She then sent detailed follow up notes and guides on how to work through the methods she had advised. I wasn’t made to feel stupid for anything we had or hadn’t been doing and didn’t leave the session feeling uncomfortable about what she had advised we work on and feel supported in working on things moving forward. Fabulous, clear advice from a trainer who knows her stuff - explained in a way that makes perfect sense and in a language a total beginner with a reactive dog (me) can understand.
