Confusing experience
We spoke with someone over messages who claimed to be the owner, we asked for information and we ended up arranging to adopt 2 horses (one for me for one month and one for my sister for several months). He canceled last minute, and said no one else could receive us except him, but not until the following week.
When my sister brought up that we found listings with negative reviews online, he became defensive and rude. He began calling her by a different and insisted she was someone else entirely, which was very strange and disrespectful.
During the conversation, he admitted they were "having problems recently" but he insisted that if we wanted to know more about the rescue horses we should still come. That just made us feel more uncomfortable, specially since he refused to give us clear details.
After reading more reviews, including concerns about how the animals are treated, and seeing in Google Maps with this same name of business that is permanently closed, we decided it was best not to go. Everything became so confusing and we asked him to cancel our visit.
If they are truly having problems, they should not take it out on people who came with good intentions and were genuinely interested in supporting the place. We strongly recommend looking for a different place that treats both animals and people with more respect and transparency.
This was indeed our personal experience, this happened to us, and others should be aware.
