We had the most incredible experience with our couples boudoir session—it honestly exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and so thoughtfully put together, which made it easy to relax and just be ourselves.
What really stood out was how empowering and intimate the whole experience felt. The photographer guided us naturally without making anything feel forced or awkward. Instead, it felt like a genuine celebration of our connection, capturing moments that were both playful and deeply meaningful.
When we saw the final images, we were blown away. They were elegant, artistic, and truly reflected our relationship in such a beautiful and authentic way. It’s something we’ll treasure forever.
We would absolutely recommend a couples boudoir session to anyone considering it—it’s not just about the photos, but the experience itself. It brought us closer and gave us a whole new appreciation for each other.

I recently returned to BYB for my 60th birthday boudoir photoshoot having previously had a couples photoshoot.
I wanted to look totally different from my ‘usual look’ with my hair/make up-many thanks to Codie-what a total transformation-I didn’t even recognise myself
I was so nervous/anxious when it came to the photoshoot but with lots of help with outfit choice/accessories and encouragement with posing for all of the photo ideas I had asked for, as it was the big 60th, my wonderful photographer Mel absolutely smashed it-she deserved a gold medal.
My afternoon tea was scrummy too-yum yum
I cannot thank Nicola enough for another truly wow and amazing day starting from before my experience, during my viewing, you even made me cry, you made me feel and look beautiful, I left you on cloud 9 and thank you for messaging after.
I had such a special day and cannot recommend this wonderful bunch enough-thank you all again so much ❤️💕♥️

Beyond amazing – the ultimate confidence boost
Beyond amazing, confidence boosting. If you are apprehensive about having a boudoir photoshoot, or have low body confidence, go for it – and go to BYB Photography for one, because this was me and it’s changed how I feel about myself.
All the staff were lovely and they really did all go above and beyond. The studio itself is beautiful, welcoming, and very clean.
My makeup artist was Codie, and I was extremely impressed by her hair and makeup skills. Before I had my hair and makeup done, I filled out a consultation form on what I would like, not only for my hair and makeup but the aesthetic of my whole photoshoot, which I loved. As an alternative person, I loved that they had dark and gothic rooms as well as lighter rooms.
Codie was very kind, chatty, and professional. She made me feel very comfortable and the finished look was amazing – she hit every point on the consultation sheet.
Mel was my photographer. I was nervous before the shoot as I am a very anxious person and this took me completely out of my comfort zone, but Mel made me feel comfortable again. She got me out of my shell very, very quickly and by the end of the shoot I was amazed at what I had accomplished. This is really down to how Mel talked to me about life and the shoot, etc. It really helped me, and because of how comfortable I felt, we managed to get amazing photos – photos I honestly wasn’t expecting.
Nicola was my image viewer and also the owner of BYB. Nicola again made me feel welcome, at ease, and confident in myself. You can tell how much BYB means to her and their ethos that everyone is beautiful and deserves to feel confident and beautiful. This really shows throughout the whole business and staff.
The viewing experience is wonderful. When you see yourself on the screen, I can’t even put into words how breathtaking it is to see yourself looking so beautiful – and the best part is, that image is you! They don’t use any face editing programmes on the images, so what you see is really you, which makes the experience so much more meaningful.
I can’t recommend BYB enough. It’s an experience I am so happy I did, and one I will definitely do again (still trying to convince my husband to do a couples shoot with me – I will convince him eventually!).
If you are wanting a confidence boost, 100% go and have a photoshoot at BYB!!!

Unexpectedly Blown Away
I went in pretty much blind. This is NOT the sort of thing I ever thought I'd do and I booked it on a recommendation from a friend and promptly tried not to think about it again. I was terrified and very nearly chickened out a few times before the day arrived.
My assumption was that I'd chalk it up to experience and move on. I was not prepared!
The staff were lovely from the get go. Angela was amazing as a make up artist dealing with someone who had little to no clue what she was after, and adapted fantastically to what I'd brought with me. Charlotte was brilliant in guiding me how to pose, given that I had no clue what I was doing! And Nicola helped me feel at ease and open ready for that experience.
By the time it came to the viewing Mel didn't even need to make any kind of sale because the photos did the work for her. I genuinely was blown away by how they looked and, honestly, this was the most unexpected part of the whole process. They are magicians. Having gone in just to see what it was like and fully expecting to run away afterwards, I ended up loving what they'd done for me.
If you get a chance, honestly, you won't regret seizing it with both hands.

Had a very nice Valentines there
Had a very nice Valentines there - makeup was done brilliantly and the staff were so nice, welcoming and friendly. I like how discreet everything was which was great for a shy girlie doing her first shoot. Enjoyed seeing myself relax into the part throughout. Afternoon tea was plainish but necessary! Photos selection process was great but I only recognised the prices later so I couldn’t take home loads. Overall would recommend and do again!!

This was my fourth time at BYB. I absolutely love going. On the day of my photoshoot, I was made me to feel welcome and very at ease. The photographer was great and made me feel really comfortable. A long day but well worth the trip
A long day but well worth the trip
You see these “competitions” on Facebook to win a photoshoot, but in this life nothing is free and you only get what you pay for! So Instead of just opting for the basic package and one “free image” I bit the bullet and agreed a custom package in advance and after today I would certainly say that with this professional studio it would be my personal recommendation.
Having done many of these shoots already, I have found it far better to do your homework, start by searching the studio’s gallery and maybe the web to find images that you like then create a mood board to liaise with the very helpful Nicola who is happy to discuss everything either via message, e-mail or in person on the phone.
I arrived well early for my appointment this morning but was warmly welcomed by the staff and offered a drink before meeting the very talented Codie who had the daunting task of turning my old canvas into a masterpiece a challenge she accepted willing and I gave her total freedom to create her own vision which she completed flawlessly.
After nearly 2 hours in makeup and then my hair sorted I was lead upstairs by the lovely Mel shown into one of the smaller studios to use as my changing room - selecting a newly purchased outfit only bought the day before I changed into my first outfit and rang the bell to signal I was ready!! Instantly Mel was on hand to guide me to the first session.
Now this is where the pre planning comes into play not only had Nicola listened to my requests but she had fully briefed the photographer on just what images I wanted her to capture - helped also by my provision of albums from previous shoots so that Mel was aware of what had been captured before, which then inspired her to improve on them but still following my brief.
Previous studios have worked on the principle that multiple takes was the best way forward but No! Mel had a totally different approach none of this happy snappy and I’m sure one will turn out ok. Each photo was visioned, discussed, then framed and posed to perfection before the shutter was even pressed the result being quality over quantity.
I can honestly say that I was pleased with each and every image taken today all unique and captured within five different studios individually theamed to provide a varied look and mood to every photo. A truly wonderful experience…. Even if some rooms were a little warm! but Codie was quickly on hand to touch up her masterpiece back to perfection.
All too soon it was all over and I was provided with a nice cold drink whilst the images were expertly edited ready for my own personal viewing experience, the results absolutely
fantastic and couldn’t just select a few so I took the lot !!
So in summary you certainly get a day out to treasure with BYB and I for one would love to return again in the very near future- As I can’t rate this all female team highly enough.

What an incredible experience
What an incredible experience! As someone who has worked with other boudoir studios in the past, this has been the best one by far.
From the moment I walked in, I was instantly made to feel welcome and relaxed. I was politely offered a drink by Angela, who then gave me a detailed consultation form to fill out. One thing I especially loved was that they ask you what you feel are your best features — which really helps them capture you in the most authentic and flattering way.
Angela was an absolutely fantastic makeup artist. She completely captured everything I envisioned. She made sure my eye colour complemented my outfits perfectly, listened to everything I wanted, and honestly did my hair and makeup better than I ever could myself.
Next, I was introduced to Charlotte, who was so easy to talk to. She made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely confident. She showed me a variety of stunning sets that suited the exact theme I was going for. She guided me into poses that really flattered my figure and used some of the props I had brought from home — which made the shoot feel personal and truly brought my vision to life.
After the shoot, I was escorted to get changed and then treated to afternoon tea. These ladies make an incredible cup of tea! There was such a lovely selection of snacks. Before the shoot, you choose what you’d like — I went for cheese sandwiches, scones, crisps, and more. Everything was delicious (especially the cheese sandwiches!).
While I relaxed, Charlotte edited my photos — and she is unbelievably talented. She removed bruises from my skin while keeping the images looking natural and realistic. I felt beautiful, empowered, and completely myself.
After afternoon tea, I met Mel for the viewing. We chatted about my past experiences, as I’ve previously felt pressured into buying more photos than I wanted at other studios. Mel completely reassured me and made the whole process calm and enjoyable. I chose all the photos I loved without any pressure. The prices and packages were brilliant — compared to other studios where I’ve paid extortionate amounts for very few images, BYB offered amazing value. I walked away with a fantastic selection of photos at a price that didn’t give me anxiety.
One thing that truly meant a lot to me — I sent the photos to my mum, and her response was “wow.” In the past, she didn’t feel other studios captured my essence properly. But BYB was on a completely different level.
If you’re considering booking a shoot, please don’t hesitate. It was genuinely the best thing that happened to me this month and lifted my spirits in a way I didn’t expect.

When it came to looking at my pictures I was surprised by what they had caught on the camera and was happy with lots of them. It was hard to choose.
I have recommend BYB to friends to also boost their confidence and start to believe what other people see.not what you see when looking in a mirror .

Booked a shoot as a surprise for wife and something different to do together. Was a little nervous as not done anything like this before. Photographer made us feel welcome and at ease and had a laugh with us. Different rooms were great. Afternoon tea whilst editing was fine was a nice touch. over 100 pics taken & 72 purchased, interest free finance package is good. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Sure we will be back

Couples Boudoir Shoot
From the minute we made the booking amd speaking to Nicola to arriving and being welcomed by Cody/Codie to the shoot with Mel we felt so comfortable and in the safest hands. The whole experience was fantastic and the pictures....just wow!!!! Fully recommend to anyone, if your low on confidence this will resolve that, if your high on confidence then this will improve that. What a fantastic team and amazing time we had.

Second time still great
I came back to BYB for a second round photoshoot not only did they take my ideas and inspiration into account they allowed me to feel sexy gorgeous and confident I was nervous walking in and almost left again but the team made me feel at ease helped me laugh off the nerves and be my very best self. The most empowering day ever!!
My husband and I booked a photoshoot after losing 11 stone between us—we wanted something special to celebrate such a big milestone. We were both a little apprehensive walking in, but we were greeted by the loveliest staff who instantly put us at ease. The studio is beautifully decorated, creating the perfect setting for incredible shots.
One thing I absolutely loved was the efficiency: as soon as you finish in one room, your memory card goes straight to editing, so there’s no waiting around. It makes the whole experience seamless.
I was especially impressed at the end when the owner, who was showing us our photos, noticed a tiny imperfection in one of the images—something we hadn’t even picked up on—and immediately called someone to correct it. It really shows the passion and perfection they put into their work.
We were beyond happy with our images and left feeling genuinely empowered. Seeing the final photos even made me cry—happy tears—because of how far we’ve come and how amazing the whole experience was.
Some people say the photos can be a little expensive, but once you’ve had the photoshoot and see the quality, time, and care involved, you understand that you’re paying for true craftsmanship.
This is an experience everyone should have, and with BYB Photography, you are truly in the best hands!
