I’m so sick of getting “recommended” 1-star reviews from non-clients. Yelp will never make a 1-star review “unrecommended” but my business has at least 25 5-star reviews that are “unrecommended.” Thes... Mehr ansehen

I registered for Yelp Biz a year ago, but my business account still hasn't been verified. I really hope it gets sorted out soon, because if not, I might consider switching over to TripAdvisor.

Yelp is not a review service
Yelp is not a review service. It is an extortion racket sucking money from businesses with the false promise they will get customers from it. Want to put up your logo, pay them. Want to reapond to reviews, pay them. Want to show up in search results, pay them. Want to show you are a Veteran owned business....Yelp pay them. There is a reason Google reviews outranks them 100 to 1.
No ROI - Just a lot of wasted time & money!!!
They promise a swift ROI! That's the sales pitch!! The Customer Success team turns around and say - no, you have to give it 60-90 days to see an ROI. You pay to have your competitors removed - only to have anyone who reaches out to you for a quote to be prompted to have their request sent to your competitors also!! By default, a box will be checked to send the inquiry to 3 competitors. Let's not even talk about the tactics of how they charge you. My ads had run up to $330 and they had already gotten $150 of that but turn around and try to charge $282. You have to monitor them very closely. Let's not even talk about the ridiculous amounts of spam calls I received from the moment the ads were turned on. I did receive a handful of calls in between all of that, but none worked out. Just folks kicking tires. Yelp for Business is the absolute worst. Like most people say, they have scam like practices. You're paying upwards of $9/contact. They promise that people looking for you will reach out quickly because they are in immediate need - oh the lies!
Wish I’d read here before I tried it
Wish I’d read here before I tried it. I was hesitant but they offered a $300 credit so I figured I would set my budget at $300 and then just cancel when I hit that. I got no business at all from the platform, just spammed with “leads” that led nowhere. My credit sat at $90 used out of $300 for 3 weeks, then jumped up $300 in the last week, so I ended up paying 90 bucks. With the amount of time I wasted responding to these BS leads (most went unanswered, those that answered usually said they didn’t mean to send it out; Yelp just do it automatically) actually cost me money in terms of productivity. I would not do this again, even if it was free. Please don’t waste your time and money on this.
These guys just don't stop calling…
These guys just don't stop calling even after you tell them you are not interested dozens of times. I have blocked them multiple times and they STILL make non-stop attempts. This is harassment at best...
Yelp Ads are a total scam
Yelp Ads are a total scam. They claim to use a charge by click system, like facebook. But that is not the case. They also claim you will get a $300 credit to use on advertising. All lies. They have no managers or supervisors? Just pushy lieing sales people and unuseful customer servise people. Definitely just another big corp taking advantage of small business.

Total waste of money
Total waste of money. I get a new lead everyday I respond right away and nothing happens or I get a lead and I don’t respond so they message me again so i respond right away and nothing happens. Then I got scam calls every single day from a bunch of numbers across the US trying to sell me AI help for my yelp account.

YELP IS A SCAM< HURTS SMALL BUSINESS
This company is nothing more than a scam to rob a small business of needed capital, they report leads that youdo not get, they charge for advertising at a rate that is NEVER agreed to, they DO NOT DO AS THEY ADVERTISE AND SCAM YOU FOR MORE AND MORE MONEY AND EVEN WHEN YOU CANCEL THEY BILL FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH. This is FRAUD plain and simple, promising something, charging for it, and NOT delivering, If I did this I would be in JAIL, why are they allowed to keep stealing from small business under false pretenses. This is going to be reported to the Attorney General for resolution, DO NOT USE THESE FRAUDULENT PEOPLE!!!!
Read why you will need to stay away from yelp
This company thinks they are googles and they act like one. If you pay close attention they are only company on googles platform which you can do same think. Create website and start collecting reviews and other bs. Business owners yelp isn’t google yelp don’t have way to make you money but rob you by selling you hopes. Do your investing only for google if you really need to. Yelp will have negative impact on your business. Lost thousands of dollars with them. All I got back from them rude employee
I signed up for free 1-month business…
I signed up for free 1-month business ad trial. I canceled within the month and got charged for ads a couple weeks later. The total was $101, and for what it's worth, it didn't drive any business. After contacting Yelp, they would not refund the charges. What I discovered, was that when you sign up for this trial, you sign up for two services ( Yelp Ads & Upgrade Package) and then have to cancel both of them separately. It's not the most intuitive process to figure out or understand, that the services are not one in the same. Regardless, Yelp was not a good fit for my business and after this experience, I would not recommend them or ever consider using the platform again
Scamming at its finest.
Listen up this company has no more ad power than google for free. I spent about $800 in ad money for 2 months and got 0 new customers calls .Ask the rep this, can you prove you got my business any new clients and if not can i get my money back. The answer is no. They are like overseas scammers and anyone working for them should feel proud to legally take money with 0 work done to help the customer.
Stay away from this business
Stay away from this business! Yelp has deceptive billing practices, they will steel your money and blame it on you and won’t take one once of responsibility. Poor customer service. Do not advertise with Yelp, they aren’t honest will say your getting traffic and leads when your not. The worst company I have ever worked with. Stay away from Yelp Biz they are crooks.
Yelp is a total scam - STAY AWAY
Yelp is impossible to reach. They try to sell you Medicare and health related products. Unreachable, phone numbers that goes straight to pre-recorded scripts with no way to talk to anyone.
They charged me over twice the amount…
They charged me over twice the amount they initially said they would and I got no leads. Yelp is a big scam.
I was lied to by Yelp…
I was lied to by the Yelp Representative. I was signed up for a $350 credit for 1 month of free ads in September. I told them I do not want to spend more than $300 per month. According to their page I still had $194 credit at the end of September. (I found out later that this number is delayed by their billing process.) I found out I was charge for their highest promotion level, and brought it down to $10 per day in September. I couldn't cancel while I had credits, so I kept it open. I was charge over $300 for September ads, and another $311 for October ads, and when I finally cancelled on November 4 , I was charged for my special promotion I didn't know I had another $154, because of 4 days use of that promotion used in November. I was charge over $782 for a free ad campaign. I do not EVER plan on using or recommending Yelp again for any business owner.
Extremely disappointing
My experience with Yelp has been incredibly frustrating and financially draining. I was charged over $600 a month for ads, and when I turned the ads off, the charges didn’t stop—they continued billing me more than $300 monthly for a “premium listing” that was never made clear. Months later, after realizing the charges, I called Yelp to end everything.
Despite that, I was hit with yet another charge—$120—because I “canceled on the 10th,” which they counted as usage for the previous month. That logic makes no sense, and it feels like a deliberate way to squeeze more money out of small business owners.
Yelp’s lack of transparency, confusing billing structure, and continued charges after cancellation make this platform extremely difficult to trust. I wish I had seen other reviews before using them.

ٌYelp advertising is a scam
Be honest with people and do not lie.
Monitor your sales with new customer, and call them to make sure everything is all right with their purchase.
Let them know that you are going to charge them and send them an invoice before withdrawing funds from their account
Yelp was horrible across the board
Yelp was horrible across the board. They did a bait and switch, said they would give me 1 month free ads. They kind of did, then I went and cancelled a few days later, they don't let you know their site is tricky, you have to cancel TWO DIFFERENT parts, you can't just Cancel. They don't show you this or tell you. I ONLY RECEIVED 8 to 10 Spam Calls a day, not 1 lead, not 1 call, text, or email from anyone looking online. Only Spammers trying to sell me SEO. Yelp sent me a bill for $212 and I called 5 or 6 times asking for help, negotiating and they would not budge. They sent my bill to a Collection Agency trying to destroy my credit score. Horrible service, no one seems to have autonomy to do anything. You can't go up the ladder to talk to the right person who will make a good decision to even consider helping. Very Bad Business Practices.
A VERY DECEPTIVE company. Very sad that they would not even consider doing something write and even taking $10 off.
STAY AWAY FROM YELP!! DO NOT ADVERTISE WITH THEM. Go elsewhere.
