Clean, no ads, even if there is a lot of paid content, it's pretty good.

I've been selling website themes since 2020 on BuiltByBit, and I can confidently say that it's an excellent platform. The site has provided me with a platform to sell enough copies of my products to pay for university and many other expenses, which has changed my life positively in so many ways. The staff team is usually quick to respond to tickets and has collaborated in taking down people who leak my products, which has been extremely helpful.

That being said, the company's leadership has taken some actions in the past year that I don't believe were a good idea. The new advertisement system that was released charges creators a percentage of earnings, instead of a flat rate, which makes it hard to budget for. Additionally, this system is hard to understand and provides inaccurate data on how changing your advertisement rate actually helps your product visibility, and I've lost a good portion of sales in the past month as I try to figure out how this system works. Finally, the team has ignored a massive increase in submissions of AI-generated content or content that copies other people's work, and this flood of poor-quality products greatly reduces the sales that creators receive who actually spend time coding and maintaining their work.

Overall, I think the leadership team has done a great job with building up the platform and helping it continue to grow - I just hope some large reforms are made to the advertising system soon.

One big purchase, one seller ignored me for months, and the entire transaction became impossible to refund. I lost all my licenses, and support said this is “normal” because their system can’t refund individual items. Their only solution was to sue the seller myself. The platform has serious safety issues, no real buyer protection, and a broken refund mechanism. Would not trust it.

Registered since 2014 (back when it was Mc-Market) and selling resources since 2017. Got banned in 2021, the ban was eventually lifted, and since I came back to selling in 2024 everything has run smoothly, no payment issues, no disputes, no platform headaches.

Solid tools for creators, responsive staff, and a working refund/dispute system that protects buyers too. Most of the negative reviews here are from people who broke ToS and got upset about it, not really representative of the actual platform.

Would recommend for both buyers and creators.

The worst platform ever made!!!! It is full of stolen assets, and the moderators don't even care because it makes money for them!!! I waited almost 6 days just to get an asset approved, but wait—just because my asset had CAPITAL LETTERS in it, I had to edit it and wait another 6 days... The whole place is a joke. ZEU is trashthe worst moderator ever assigned!!!!

BuiltByBit is by far a joke; I would never recommend buying anything from there as everything is full of bugs and stolen... Oh wait, do you know what many creators don't know?

BBB claims to take only 11%, but in reality, they take 27% plus a 20% sales tax from buyers. This sales tax isn't because they are paying duties to any country it's because they are shady and making maximum cash off of other people's hard work!!!

For everyday users, sure, its fine. But for creators this platform is a actual nightmare. Wanting to get your resource approved? Well better get ready to wait in a queue of over 450 other creators. So what do u do next? U buy builtbybit ultimate to bypass the waiting! Turns out its a complete scam and u actually dont bypass the queue! Very nice! U then contact support and get nothing but automated responses. And have i mentioned that they just deny your resources for a reason that is already fulfilled? The moderation team is honestly horrible and I've got nothing but bad things to say about them, they are all very immature

We have been working with BuiltByBit since our start in 2020, and we truly appreciate the effort their team and Mick put into developing the platform, how they take care of their creators, and their openness to philanthropic projects.

I've been an active creator and customer on BuiltByBit for years, and it's by far the best and most professional platform for buying and selling digital resources for Minecraft, Roblox and other games.

If you are a server owner looking to buy plugins, configurations or other resources, this is the best place to look by far!

I sell plugins on BuiltByBit for 6 years now. I have a very good experience. Really friendly staff and they're incredibly hardworking people, pushing updates and listening to feedback.

Regarding what others said here - yes, some sellers and some buyers are unreasonable, and that's ok, many times it's understandable if you buy a plugin and it's not working as advertised etc. etc. It's not a fault of BBB staff. I actually found staff here very professional and non biased. I started to offer a 30-day no questions asked for all plugins and that worked for us the best and I strongly recommend other sellers do the same.

Overall, BBB got incredibly good over the years (knew them for 10yr now). I recommend it!

Very disappointing experience with this website. I would only recommend using it for straightforward product purchases, not for any kind of business collaboration or dispute resolution.

A user attempted to have my account banned over allegations made on Discord, including claims that I tampered with a VPS. When I asked for evidence to support these accusations, none was provided.

I had known this individual for around three years through Twitch and had previously worked with them. During our project, I ended up doing the majority of the VPS setup work myself while they contributed very little, which makes the later accusations even more frustrating.

This individual, known as DubK1ngzo (BuiltByBit profile: Legion Network), also left a negative review on my BuiltByBit account making these claims. From my perspective, it felt like the platform sided with the paying member without properly reviewing both sides of the situation.

I also received a Discord message from this user stating: “Got a lot of purchases on there, would suck to get banned.” This came across as an attempt at intimidation.

My concern is not just with the user, but with how the situation was handled by staff. It felt like assumptions were made based on appearances rather than a fair review of the evidence. Instead of investigating properly, action seemed to be taken quickly without clear communication.

Because of this experience, I chose to delete my account and secure the content I legitimately owned.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious, especially when dealing with disputes on the platform. Review moderation and dispute handling should be fair, evidence-based, and transparent.

As for the marketplace itself, buyers should always do their own research before purchasing digital products, check reviews carefully, and verify originality where possible.

Based on my experience, I will not be using this platform again.

I had a very bad experience with BuildByBit. I purchased a Roblox asset, only to later find out that it was leaked content. That’s completely unacceptable and puts buyers at serious risk.

As a buyer, you expect a platform like this to properly verify what is being sold, but that clearly didn’t happen here. It makes the whole marketplace feel unreliable and unsafe to use.
Because of this, I’ve completely lost trust in the platform. I now have to worry about the legitimacy of anything sold there, which defeats the entire purpose of using a marketplace.

I would strongly warn others to be extremely careful when buying from BuildByBit. Based on my experience, I will not be using it again.

I purchased a resource and it was incompatible with my server, i asked for a refund and the seller SMARTNAME held me to ransom, refusing to refund and demanding further payment to fix the incompatibility, i then suggested a perfectly reasonable transfer of the license to a resource of theirs that was compatible of the same or lesser value to which that was denied. BuiltbyBit sided with the despicable seller and left me without refund or resource. They even dragged out the dispute for over a year and no matter what evidence i provided, they just didn't care.

I'd just like to add that I was both a Creator and a Customer on Builtbybit, i can 100% without any doubt confirm all the other negative Customer feedback on Trustpilot is well founded, they indeed do not care about the Customer, always side with the Creator, especially if they are large income generating Creators. Disgrace of a website that i've decided to walk away from as a Creator.

Trash website. Someone scammed me 250€ for a website, now all my complaints are getting deleted. No support of any kind. Do not purchase anything from here.

Built by bit DOES NOT CARE about You. If you have any issues with a mod creator, Good Luck. You have nobody on your side at builtbybit to help you. I encourage anyone to file a formal complaint with the FTC as well as the dmirs.wa.gov.au (since they are located in perth, WA ) If you have any issues with them.
They Restricted my account, for reviewing a mod creator who revoked my license (SKY FROST). He's also using stolen assets but that's beside the point. Good luck with any buyer protection, it don't exist . Reached out to support and they've ghosted me for about 4 days.

Found this Website after opening a Hytale Server to get some nice Mods. Problem Creators on those Websites sometimes sell you broken stuff and nobody cares

getting your Money back after receiving a broken asset/mod or whatever you buy. is almost inpossible would highly suggest to search else where

Bought a Roblox Asset Pack, and all of the Assets were stolen, reached out via support and provided much evidence yet said 'For legal reasons, we are unable to handle disputes over the ownership of a product.' -- even though I provided all the evidence, showed them the game it was stolen from etc, do not buy.

😡😡😡🤡we bought some setups from this guy and what does he do he sells all the setups😡😡😡😡 after we got it and then the owner has to fix this mess because it's all a in a big mess and now we still aren't able to play and I bought the setups in October 2025 shame on you for doing this people don't just have money to buy for their grandkids and it takes a year and a half with crying grandkids🥺🥺🥺😢😢 that wanted to play shame on you im sad for you to do what you did grow up stop taking money and stop scamming people from an angry grandmother 👵

Got banned for « leaked resources » I never leaked anything and they have no proof and don’t care about the truth, I can’t access my previously paid assets that’s so dumb

This website sells stolen assets, and their staff protects those people. the moment you buy and realize its stolen assets and try to dispute it, your messages will get deleted, reviews deleted and refunds rejeted. when you try to speak out about it their staff will insult you instead on their discord. Do not buy unless you wanna get scammed.
