Ordered a package unit. Salesman very helpful & made sure I was ordering what I needed. Installed & works great. Had an issue with heater wiring , called & the issued was taken care of. Price was good too. Thank you !

This was a very convenient and easy purchase. The only problem I had was that the item was left without a signature and the installation does not occur for several months and the return policy requires a rejection at time of delivery. Mike (salesperson) was very nice and helpful when I purchased the item and the supervisor (whose name I have forgotten) was also quick to respond when I did not realize that the item had been dropped off.

Everything went smoothly. Special kudos to PJ for all his help! Thank you!

I purchased what was presented to be a metal return air can with insulated sides (Return Air Box, Register Boot 24" x 12" R6). The air can ended up having the entire top side made of soft fiberglass, i.e., no metal whatsoever. The soft top is weak and continuously sheds fiberglass, a dangerous/damaging situation under return vacuum. The website description is incorrectly worded and the photo is misleading. Hopefully they change their website description. Budget customer service is unwilling to accept any responsibility for their errors, and now I am stuck with this item and out of money for the part and shipping.

FOLLOW-UP:
Budget customer service department is quick to reply—as you can see here. However, I want to be perfectly clear regarding at least one of the several incorrect statements in their reply that claims “. . . fiberglass duct board backing is standard on all return and supply boots” [emphasis added]. This is simply wrong. Don’t take my word for it, please do a Google search for HVAC “return air can” or “return air box” and look at the images yourself, or speak with a local HVAC pro. Also, take notice of the specific wording in their reply where they carefully avoid using the term “return box” when claiming it was “standard” and instead state “return or supply boot” [emphasis added]. I tried to work with Budget, and even called a local HVAC company that cost me $150 service call for help. The tech laughed a little and politely told me that this should not be used as a return air box and something along the lines of “it is not worth messing with . . . you need a return air can.”
Also, it is true the retailer did offer me a “partial” refund; however, it amounted to about 15% of my total purchase cost. This was unacceptable. Finally, I have nothing to gain by wasting time on this follow up other than trying to warn other potential customers. I trusted Budget Heating & Cooling and paid the price for it.

I'm very happy with the experience I had ordering from Budget Heating & Air. The products arrived as described. Shipping was relatively quick considering the items were shipped from Texas to California. The price was the best I found and I had researched for quite some time. Any question I've had all along the way was promptly answered. I had some minor shipping damage that wasn't the company's fault, but they were very helpful in getting it resolved. I also had a technical question that was promptly answered, and was accompanied with a series of technical manuals which my installers we're grateful for. Vick, my salesperson was able to quickly Cobble together a package unit even with the current supply chain issues. Matt, who helped out with the shipping issue and Trent who helped with the technical question have all been great. I will definitely look to them first for any future HVAC needs.

My only complaint is it took 3 weeks to deliver. The units arrived in damaged.

Great price unit is great bottom of frame is bent a little bit from shipping but doesn't hurt operation of unit. I'll be buying from budget heating again

The installation instructions should be clearer and also the wiring diagram wire colors are not an exact match. I think I may have ruined the compressor unit because of this.

HVAC ducts are super quiet!
