CUT COST AT CHRITMAS BIG TIME - CLOSE WARDS
If I could give Brisbane Private Hospital minus 100 stars, I would.
I underwent major spinal surgery just before Christmas and expected compassionate, professional care during the most critical stage of my recovery. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing.
After fasting for over 24 hours, I was left without suitable food and had to repeatedly ask for something to eat. Simple requests, such as asking for a heat pack while I was in significant pain, felt like an inconvenience.
The constant alarm outside my room rang day and night, making it almost impossible to rest after major surgery. Instead of feeling cared for, I left feeling exhausted, distressed and overwhelmed.
I was discharged just before Christmas Day and wasn't prepared for how difficult the following days would be. I spent Christmas extremely unwell, vomiting and struggling alone while family and friends were away.
I lodged a formal complaint because I genuinely believe the care I received fell well below the standard I expected. Sadly, I have felt unheard throughout the complaints process.
This review reflects my personal experience, and I sincerely hope no other patient has to endure what I went through.
