Love the place
“Love the place, I’ve had my unit for around a year and all was perfect. The only reason for moving is my business has outgrown the unit and I’ve moved to a more local (much larger unit) 8 minutes from my house.”

Very helpful staff

We found Boylin easy to work with and everyone I dealt with answered all my questions promptly.
An additional plus was the information updates and announcements related to the site and unit.
I had no issues with my long term hire and would recommend them.

Location: Wakefield Road. Barnsley.
Storage container in good condition and location. Could be more flexible on hours of entry especially at weekends.
The introduction of more containers to the location made access to the container difficult.

Horrible people my husband was victim…
Horrible people my husband was victim of discrimination in that storage, rude, poor customer service, no respectful to the customers and they don’t care about customers.
No recommended, go away !

Dear Sheronne,
Thank you for your review however the contents of which are disputed.
Your husband has been a customer with us since 2017 and payments have failed since 2019, with the matter progressively becoming worse since 2020, with no invoice being paid on time since this date.
Your husband has a history of shouting at our staff however despite this, we have always treat him with respect and kindness, including the credit of previous late payment fees in order to assist his situation.
The latest invoice was late again, resulting in restricted access and late payment fees. Despite us sending numerous emails regarding the account balance, your husband turned up to the storage container expecting access. He then rang our office having not been able to gain access and was extremely aggressive, rude and irate. A member of our staff had explained the fees and account balance to your husband, however after 45 minutes on the telephone and him continuing to shout with no resolution, we advised that we would send a full statement of account and email, with the hope that this would assist your husband in understanding the breakdown of his account. The call was then ended.
Following on from this, a manager within the business had reviewed his account taking into consideration the consistent late payments, the aggression that is used when speaking to our staff on a monthly basis and the time managing the account and the decision was taken to provide your husband with notice to vacate.
This is not an action that we take lightly and is certainly not a reflection on any ethnicity or race, despite your claims.
We do hope that you understand why this decision has been made, and wish you all the best in the future.

Handy storage at a reasonable price
I used Boylin Self Store in Swinton for 2 months while I moved house. It has been a great experience, the staff are friendly and helpful. The access times are very reasonable. Would definitely use them again in the future if needed.

Boylins are very helpful and friendly. She explained the procedures very clearly and we felt confident that our property would be safe. Access to our stored goods is not important for us but it was good to know that if access was needed the opening hours were extensive. The containers were clean and well laid out. Highly recommended.
