Not a scam in the sense that they rig the odds, but if you put money in, just like any casino, the odds are not in your favor. I will say the odds on this site are worse than most casinos. Either rip packs in person or just go to a casino and gamble, at least they give you free drinks.

Waste of money!! Totally crap cards from other vendors selling crap. Dont do it

Absolutely worst scam out there do not trust them at all you get less then 1% chance to get cards and when you do win shipping cost are outrageous and it takes 5 weeks just for them to start the shipping and then it comes slow mail so in total takes almost 2 months to get your winnings if you can even call it that. Being they want to fight instead of try to resolve the issue people can do their own research and see. ill also provide any screen shots i have proving there so called record straight as the put it wrong my order was two weeks old before I cancled it not two days I cancled it after two weeks of no updates because the system told me it was a popular item and could take upto 5 weeks to ship out so let's do the math being im wrong they say im 2 weeks in 2+5 is 7 weeks last time I checked there are 8 weeks in two months ...... sounds like my math was sound boxed your move

Great way to collect cards like the Lorcana cards I picked. Some of the best cards cost tad bit more money but it’s rewarding once you get those iconic, enchanted etc cards because you can always grade them and revamped the value. The delivery of the cards is also immaculate, literally get them with 3/4 layers of protection so they don’t get damaged. That’s varying about your customers. A++++ on the service and fast 2 week delivery.

Yes, I had a prior account. Boxed's own reply confirms the fuller picture: two accounts, roughly $67,000 in total purchases across them, and zero physical merchandise to show for any of it. That's not a defense of their model. That's a description of how it works.
And note what their reply admits, in their own words: "Boxed is a digital platform first, and physical shipping is one option among several, not the core product."
Now read their advertising across hundreds of digital ads over the last 12-18mos: "Rip packs on your phone, ship the cards right to your door." "Pull it digitally, collect it physically." "Every pull guarantees an authenticated slab or NM single." "Keep the cards you want and ship them straight to your door."
The ads sell physical card collecting. Their legal position is that you're buying non-refundable digital credits with no cash value, and that physical cards were never the core product. Both cannot be true. That gap — what the advertising promises versus what the purchase terms deliver — is the subject of my pending complaint with the Washington State Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.
I have no "withdrawal ID" to send them, because my complaint has never been about a lost shipment. It's about what induces the purchase in the first place. Their reply made my point better than I could.

Gross deceptive advertising with merchandise not as described at all - Jen @ Boxed depicts it best when using intercom snippets touting their terms:

"Our records show these transactions were purchases of digital "Gems." Per our Purchase Terms, Gems have no cash value, are for entertainment purposes only, and cannot be withdrawn, sold, transferred, or converted to fiat currency. Gems purchases are purchases of virtual credits, not physical merchandise, and this is disclosed at the point of purchase."

They also ignore responding to Attorney General's office mailings.

Spent 79.99 for 8,000 gems. Cool I opened the box “2500 gems”and pulled a soccer card worth 10.00 sold it back for 1050 gems pulled again got a baseball card, graded by CGC but there was no grade just an authentication, the card was worth probably 8-12.00
Sold it back for 875 gems pulled another card, football 1984 graded 7.5 worth 7-12.00 sold it back for 1200 gems. So I spent 79.99 to pull 3 cards that weren’t any value and sold them back for gems and now I’m at 2375 gems (not enough to do anymore pulls so I could give this company more money, so I can gamble on a card. Yeah I live in Vegas and gambling is not my thing…

I was honestly concerned that I wasted my money having my bulbasore card mailed to me. When I received my card in way inside a plastic sleeve, that was inside another plastic sleeve then inside the hard plastic sleeve. And the way it arrived undamaged due to the way they shipped it was really great. I'm totally going to get more cards in the future. I just wish instead of paying shipping for one card, I wish you could send the cards in bulk instead of one at a time. Other than that, my experience was great.

Great experience once you understand the workings of the site. Just save your pulls till you find something in the marketplace that you wanna trade in for.
