Very impressed

It’s difficult to find plumbers and central heating engineers who are both competent and good value for money, but with this company you have both.
We were extremely satisfied with the service we had from Shaqir and his team.

Absolutely amazing

Absolutely amazing, called yesterday and reported an issue with the boiler which was staying on and after providing my details they sent me a quote for the visit which I accepted and paid the deposit for. Five minutes later I was contacted to provide convenient times and appointment was booked for the following day. The engineer arrived at 8 am today checked the boiler explained the issue and resolved the problem in one hour. Cleaned the area where he worked and left it tidy. I would definitely recommend them and will keep their contact for the bathroom refurbishment which I am planning to do in October. 10/10. Honest and hard working people! Thank you for the service

Boiler & Heating Care refurbished my bathroom to an exceptional standard. From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The office staff were friendly and very responsive, and the builders were professional, tidy, and clearly skilled at what they do. The initial survey was incredibly informative, I was kept in the loop every step of the way and always felt reassured. Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better service. Highly recommend!

Worst customer experience I've ever…

Worst customer experience I've ever had. Booked them to fix my boiler. They seemed pleasant and competent at first, though they insisted I pay for lots of extras – a total of £730. But afterwards the boiler was still broken/losing pressure. When I asked if they could fix their work they became incredibly arrogant and defensive, saying they hadn't made any mistakes and if I wanted the boiler fixed it must be other problems they hadn't diagnosed (even though that was surely their job?) and it would cost lots more money. The boiler repair guy treated me like a moron for expecting him to have repaired my boiler. Now looking at trading standards, consumer rights – I'm £730 poorer and my boiler is still broken! Just a terrible, terrible company that should be avoided at all costs. Can only assume the positive reviews got a different engineer or didn't have further issues to fix. It was really in the aftercare that they showed their true character... [PS. regarding their response below, this is full of lies. They never came round to do a "free follow-up visit" as they claim. The whole issue is they did no such thing and they know it. Now they are claiming they did! I never called them any names over the phone either, unless you count 'patronising'. These people are such liars it makes my head spin. Please please avoid so you don't meet the same fate.]

We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the service we provided for your boiler a few months ago. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify some key points.

When you initially contacted us regarding your boiler, our senior engineer attended your property and identified a leak from the automatic air vent on top of the pump. It was agreed that the necessary part would be supplied and installed on the spot. While servicing the boiler, the engineer also found that the central heating system was contaminated with sludge due to frequent system top-ups.

To prevent the system getting worse, our engineer recommended installing a magnetic filter and treating the system with Fernox sludge remover, which was added to the system during the visit. It was also suggested that a follow-up appointment will be scheduled for a full system drain out and treatment with anti-corrosion inhibitors to provide long-term protection which we did deliver.

The following day, you contacted us regarding a drop in pressure. We returned to your property, recharged the system, and ensured the boiler was functioning correctly. A few days later, you reached out again with the same issue, and we guided you through the process of topping up the pressure, which you were already familiar with due to previous frequent refilling. This indicated an ongoing issue that predated our visit, contributing to the contamination of the system.

On 25/03/2025, you called again regarding a persistent pressure drop and requested a free visit to fix it. As we had already addressed the visible leaks during our previous visits, we asked our senior engineer to speak with you directly to discuss the best possible resolution. During this conversation, our engineer explained that potential causes of the issue could include leaks in the pipework, a faulty pressure relief valve, or a main heat exchanger failure due to pervious contamination system. To diagnose the exact cause, an additional visit would be required at an extra cost.

At this point, you disagreed and insisted that you had paid £730 for the issue to be fully resolved. In reality, the £730 (including VAT) covered the attendance for the boiler service, supplying and installing the automatic air vent, installing the magnetic filter, adding the necessary chemicals, and our second visit. Additionally, we provided a free follow-up visit as a goodwill gesture, which unfortunately does not appear to have met your expectations.

To ensure fairness, our engineer offered you alternative solutions and also suggested that you seek a second opinion directly from Worcester Bosch. We even assured you that if they confirmed the issue was due to our work, we would cover the cost. However, you were not satisfied with this suggestion and resorted to calling our engineer an offensive name before ending the call abruptly. We found this extremely disrespectful, as we always aim to provide professional service and have never been spoken to in such a manner before.

We hope this clarifies any concerns you may have. Despite this situation, we remain willing to assist you in resolving your boiler issue, provided we can work together in a respectful and cooperative manner.

They were able to identify the problem that the manufacturer couldn't, and the solution was quick and a lot less expensive. I'm using them for another plumbing issue as well.

Avoid, dont expect them to care.

Avoid. I read positive reviews so hired an engineer to fix an emergency leak and a dripping shower. They sent the head of the company, he was great with the leak so whilst he was there I asked him to fix the shower also. After an hour, he said he was done, replaced the cartridges inside. He said its 99% going to work. The shower was still dripping but he assured me it will stop and the showerhead is just draining. A few days went by i kept testing and waiting for the shower to stop dripping. It was so much worse than before.

So I got in touch. Assuming he would want to fix the job he didnt resolve. Instead i was charged with an extra 550 quid on top of the 627 Id already paid. This is not right. As the problem wasnt ever fixed or correctly identified. I refused the quote and I was met with an early morning aggressive phone call, being patronised spoken down to like I was born yesterday. His attitude and hostility was a totally different person to before. Completely no space to understand that he never resolved the issue or desire to feel responsible for making it worse. Multiple times i tried to speak calmly to explain to him how it feels unjust to be quoted so much more. He was completely disrespectful and kept drilling in how he has 25 years of experience. If he did, maybe he would have better customer service and responsibility to issues made worse by him.

He shouted so much i had to eventually politely decline and look for another plumber. Leaving this review here so people can see the truth.

*you can do one job well and fail another, i was grateful for their fixing of the leak emergency call out, the shower however was left in a worse state, making me out to be ungrateful and entitled further proves that they dont feel responsible for having made it worse. I paid them in full regardless so its not free labour and never said I wont pay again, just doubling it almost seemed extortionate.Deflecting from their aggression and approach is a huge red flag as this was the main reason for the review. In their eyes, if you dont just accept whatever they quote you then you are dumb and entitled, prepare for an early morning phone call to be shouted at and your problems not to be fixed.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. I did send you a message on WhatsApp and reached out to offer help as best as I could. I must mention that I feel a bit let down, especially since when you first contacted us, you provided pictures showing puddles and water dripping down the walls. Given the urgency, we cancelled a standard yearly maintenance call to attend to your property within two hours, as you were well informed on the day of the call. The flood issue was resolved promptly. When you later asked Shaqir to address the shower dripping problem, he mentioned that replacing the cartridges might work but that you might need to replace the shower valve if the issue persisted. When the problem did return, we sent you a quote for the shower mixer valve replacement. For reasons I don't understand, you felt we shouldn't be charged for the service and you should only pay for the parts. Despite giving you priority treatment and resolving the flood issue quickly, you raised concerns about the shower dripping, which wasn't part of the original quote and inquiry raised in accordance with our T&C and you did accept. Shaqir was well within his rights to decline your request for further help due to existing commitments but chose not to because he wanted to assist you and you kept pushing for it, even though that made him fall late for his next appointments. To be transparent, the second quote charged only £215 for labour, with the rest being charged as separate items for clarity for the Grohe shower valve, known for its quality. We also offered to source a cheaper option and deduct the cost of the cartridges from that quote since they didn't solve the problem, but you didn't respond to that offer. While you have shared your feelings, as a business that prioritizes customer experience, we feel disappointed by the lack of gratitude and the sense of entitlement. We understand times are difficult, but that doesn't mean it's fair to expect free work on your property. Thank you

Boiler Service Plus

Central Heating boiler service carried out by Marvin together with fix of irritating whistle when in use on hot tap of bathroom wash hand basin. Once again prompt, respectful, polite, helpful, efficient and thorough. It is good to know that if ever there are gas central heating or plumbing issues, this company will resolve with the least fuss and optimum competency. And a shout out to the office staff (Evis) who receive and manage enquiries with equal care and professionalism. Always my first and only call for any heating/plumbing concerns.

My Ideal boiler was repaired and…

My Ideal boiler was repaired and serviced by Marvin. He was thorough, polite, cleaned up everything. He sorted out the problem and checked the whole system to make sure there were no other issues. Not the cheapest but very reliable and really excellent service. Would definitely recommend the company.
