BMW Faro - Deixei o meu X6 para um serviço e partiram-me o carro

Deixei o meu BMW X6 novo (3 anos) para uma revisão normal. O carro estava em perfeitas condições.

O que aconteceu:
- Guardaram o carro por 2 semanas para uma revisão simples
- Meteram cobranças extras que não pedi
- Diziam que precisavam de fazer mais coisas ao carro.
- Quando pressionei para me devolverem o carro, deram-mo em 1 hora!

Problemas graves:
- Quando saí da oficina, o carro estava avariado
- Partiram o turbo e o intercooler
- O carro não tinha estes problemas quando lá entreguei
- Só posso pensar que andaram a acelerar com o meu carro ilegalmente.

Quando reclamei:
- Ninguém assumiu responsabilidade
- Queriam cobrar-me mais 10.000€ para arranjar o que eles estragaram

Resumo: Entreguei um carro novo e perfeito. Deram-me um carro avariado de volta e ainda queriam mais dinheiro. Nunca mais volto a este sítio. Muito desonesto. Trapalhões a roubar os clientes de forma inpune há anos.

I took my E93 cabriolet to normal…

I took my E93 cabriolet to normal service. Also fix knocking sound in front. Also to grease the hard top mechanisms.
Collecting the car 3 days late the clerk took me to show the car. One of the strips protecting the roof mecanism has been blown off, and glued back non-movable with double sided tape to roof. Sorry, it shoot off when mechanic opened the roof. To replace it costs €250 plus labor. To me, no mention that they would take responsibility. So, of course it shot off again when I opened the roof. Cost me some €200 to order from China and got it painted.
I took the car and drove 200 meters to realize that knocking was not fixed. Turned back, clerk told me to wait for service manager. Stood there 30 minutes until he appeared. He had a customer before me, ok for another 20 minutes. When finished he even did not look at me but told the clerk to tell me to come back later and walked away. Wanted to humiliate expatriate customer, on which he really succeeded. I walked out with "good day greetings" to the clerk.
I took the car to another workshop, "they changed the wrong support arms!" For specialized BMW shop it seemed to be difficult to identify which of the six pairs of the steering struts are making audible noise.
My recommendation is to avoid Caetano Baviera!!

Choose another place for you BMW car

If you are reading this review about Caetano Baviera Cascais, choose another place to buy or service your BMW. Their customer service is not good!
I have been a customer of this dealer for 17y. Over time, their service has been degraded. The last one: I took my car there for a diagnosis in January 2025, which should last 2 days. After this period, no one told me anything. No call, no status, no car! I had to call at the end of the day, asking to pick up the car. I would expect them to call me the next day telling me the result of the diagnosis or scheduling the next steps. I called in after a few days to discuss the next steps. No result.
One month has passed, and I still have the same problem as day 1.
Today, after calling again, they mentioned it is my fault because I picked up the car in January, and I shouldn't have(but I needed the car).
I don't write these reviews easily. I know how impactful they can be. I also tried(twice) to provide my feedback directly to their manager, but calls were never returned, leaving no other option but to write it here.

Inside damage, no accountability.

I took my car in for maintenance. Amongst other things, the cabin microfilter was replaced. When I picked up my car, I noticed the gear shifter was cracked. There was obviously technicians in the car to replace the filter, clean the car and drive the car. But BMW insists that “the asked the technicians and everyone says they didn’t do it”. Really? I can understand if it was an accident, maybe the technician didn’t even notice. But come one, the car had shifter had no damage when I brought it to you and it had damage when I picked it up. Take some responsibly.

Charging flap would not open

Charging flap would not open, bmw santogal , paço de arcos would not book me for service earlier than 12 days wait, explained that as have 55kms autonomy opened it by force to be able to charge but now the flap wont close . This is a known issue with the i4. Looks like an easy fix and most people that have commented on the matter tend to get it fixed with relative urgency. Looks like an easy replace in one or 2 hours .. ok if the part is not there , i consider normal for them to take 2 or 3 days to get the part..but wait 12 days to even get the car diagnosed and then order parts is just a joke BMW

Terrible service

I just picked up the car and there still a problem with the passenger seat. I ordered 2 parts a year ago from BMW faro service and the only installed 1. They don’t return my calls.

Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.. why does it take 2 days and multiple calls to get our bikes booked in for service ? We will call you back sir .. nothing.. exasperated at the service that we get in PT .. really ! From BMW ? 2 cars and four bikes we obviously are not worth having…

After braking down near Cascais re my…

After braking down near Cascais re my previous review, my car was in BMW from 19th July to late August. They finally decided to do a compression test for 700 which I did not have done. I found it parked in front of the rubbish tip there. Across the road in another garage, they diagnosed an o ring on the sensor and leaking filler cap, neither of which they charged me for. A lovely family garage. Moreover in BMW my towing bracket went missing?? I am appalled by the service there. In my opinion BMW in Cascais is a rip off with very poor service. They are supposed to be professional, why could have not seen an obvious leak from the o ring. Their excuse... they have to go through lots of procedures

Caetano BMW Faro is unprofessional

I dropped my car off last Thursday to be serviced and was advised I could pick it up the next day (Friday). Friday came and went and still today (Wednesday) my car is not ready. No one returns my calls or emails. This is the most unprofessional experience I’ve had with a car dealer/garage.

Caetano BMW Cascais is a disgrace to…

Caetano BMW Cascais is a disgrace to the BMW Brand. I brought my 2020 X1 with me from the United States knowing that I would have to make some modifications to be compliant with EU standards. I went through the entire process of making the modifications without any help from BMW because they refused everything. Nevertheless I was able to get everything modified and passed the Portuguese inspection on the first try. Seems though that BMW hides the engine serial number (not VIN) and to get it you have to go to a dealer and get a letter with the motor number on it for which they charge you €108. While I was there scheduling the appointment I asked about getting the Western Europe maps and was quoted a price of about €100. When I to pick up the car not only was it not ready but 90 minutes later when it was ready I was given a bill for €573. After another hour trying to find the manager who had quoted me the €100 figure they gave e up and escalated to a manager who lowered the price to €323, still a lot over what I was quoted. But wait, it gets betted. Without having any reason to do so They modified the car configuration to reverse all the work I had done to make the car legal. I have been trying for a week and all I get from them is that they need my license plate number to understand what went wrong. My X1 is my 10th BMW and in the 4 decades I have owned BMW I have never had a worse experience. Caetano is a disgrace to the BMW brand
