Ordered flowers that arrived dead and stinking
I ordere a large bouquet of lowers and wine for almost $100,-. It arrived late, dead, and smelling awful
I ordered flowers and wine from Blooms America to celebrate my partner’s retirement — a milestone occasion I wanted to make special. Instead, this turned into a genuinely disappointing experience.
The website’s own delivery calendar led me to select a date based on the estimated 2–3 business day window it displayed. Almost immediately after ordering, the tracking updated to show the flowers wouldn’t arrive anywhere close to that timeframe — they ended up showing up days late.
When they finally arrived, the flowers were completely wilted and had a strong, unpleasant odor — clearly not fresh by the time they reached us. This was supposed to be a celebratory gift, and instead it was an embarrassment. I have photos showing the condition they arrived in, taken immediately upon delivery.
I reached out to them requesting a solution which was immediately denied based on the fact that their website advises against shipping perishables, not regarding the fact that they were unable to provide the flowers on the agreed upon date.
For the price point, I expected reliable delivery timing and fresh flowers at minimum. I would not recommend ordering from Blooms America for anything time-sensitive or important, and I’ll be looking elsewhere in the future.
