We worked collaboratively with Gemma on her project and can safely say she is amazing. We communicated brilliantly throughout the whole project and she kept us up to date with her renovation journey every step of the way. In fact, we loved her so much - we actually named a new shade of paint after her! I would def work with Gemma again and wish her every success in the future. From Ian West - Lakeland Paints

We really enjoyed working with Gemma to provide her with the finances needed to help fund the Brooklands Project, which is a really unique venture. She was organised, provided everything we needed speedily, and with good communication. We hope to work with her again in future on any similar projects.

Gemma is such a genuine, kind person and has created an amazing project that I know will improve the lives of the key workers she reaches. All while supporting worthwhile charities too. She has done a fantastic job on creating a beautiful, cosy, comfortable home, finished to a high standard with lovely touches for the workers that will be living there. I hope she goes far with her business and is able to create many more homes like these!

Great people behind the company, real thoughtfulness in everything Gemma does, and eventually great care in the houses she puts together!

Such an unbelievable transformation!

Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a safe place to live!

Gemma has great taste, and her first HMO project has been a massive success. The interior design looks amazing, and the layout turned out better then we could have hoped. Well done Gemma!

What an amazing project you have put together Gemma.

Congratulations on completing this and good luck with the future tenants you have lined up.

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch yesterday.
The house really exceeded my expectations.
If I was a key worker I would love to live there.
The rooms are fantastic and it’s a really good location.
Gemma should be congratulated for what she has created.

Gem at Black Flamingo homes has created something truly special here in Liverpool. It’s a HMO, built for key workers, by a very experienced key worker. Because of Gem’s background, all the details of this property have been carefully considered and thought through. It’s a beautifully decorated with great facilities. I’m sure your tenants will be very happy here. Great job Gem!

I was invited along to the opening of this 6 bed HMO and was so impressed. Each room with en suite. Beautifully decorated with great attention to detail and great use of space. The concept of it being available to key workers only is amazing. Truly inspiring achievement.

Great finish and really homely.

What an absolutely fantastic project for such a great cause. The attention to detail throughout is exceptional. Anyone would be delighted to move in and enjoy comfortable surroundings with like minded people.
For anyone who is a key worker in Liverpool in need of excellent accommodation, get in touch with BFH. You’ll be glad you did

The property looks amazing and the idea of a fully key worker HMO is an incredible idea! What an inspiration. Well done Black Flamingoes homes

I had the pleasure to be in invited to the ope of the first key worker facing property in the UK built by Black Flamingo Homes. This has been designed, developed and built buy a key worker for key workers. From someone who understands the struggles, the needs and has lived them herself.

The space created is amazing, gives privacy and a sense of belonging.

It is not a boring room in another house with white walls that is uninviting. The rooms all have their own bathrooms, TV , snacking area and fridge. They are inviting and give you plenty of space.

Do reach out to Gemma at Black Flamingo Homes if you are a key worker looking for a safe space in Liverpool.

Had the pleasure of visiting this HMO today and it looks brilliant! You can really see the thought and care that's gone into every room. The finish is fantastic, the spaces are bright, clean and modern and it feels like a proper home rather than just somewhere to stay.

Creating quality accommodation specifically for key workers is such a great idea and it's clear the people living here are going to be really well looked after. So proud of what's been created here and I'd highly recommend it to any key worker looking for a comfortable, well-managed place to live ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Congratulations Gem! You've smashed it!

Visited this property today and what a stunning finish and use of space. Parked outside the property no problem. The top room is my favourite use of space - an absolute haven. And the basement cinema and utility room is fabulous! Great job, what a home for those key workers in our community.

I had the chance to view Black Flamingo Homes' first key worker accommodation property, and it's honestly hard to overstate how impressive this is. As someone who understands the daily pressures faced by police officers, firefighters, teachers, and nurses, seeing a development actually built for them — rather than as an afterthought — feels long overdue.

The property itself is a genuine surprise in the best way. Six bedrooms, each with its own private kitchenette, means residents get real independence and privacy rather than the cramped, shared-everything setups so often associated with "affordable" or subsidised housing. The finish throughout is genuinely high-end — think quality fixtures, thoughtful layouts, and a level of craftsmanship you'd expect in premium private rentals, not typically in accommodation aimed at public sector workers. Every detail, from the kitchenette fittings to the overall build quality, shows real care and investment rather than corners being cut.

Well done Gemma, you are a force of nature.

Great accommodation for key workers
House is well laid out and thoughtfully designed for those who would like their own space whilst retaining some communal space. Would absolutely recommend
