I paid for a report and then happily paid £195 for the 6 months worth of supplements that they recommended. Saw zero improvement in our dogs health and when we took another test the report was as bad as the first. Not at all convinced by BIOME9

My little chihuahua has been struggling with gut issues for a few months and having all tests at the vets for parasites, environmental allergies etc we found his B12 levels were slightly low but otherwise all normal but his gut issues continued someone suggested Biome9. After reading the reviews I decided to order the gut discovery test and I am so glad I did! The test itself came very well packaged and had everything you needed. Was super simple to use simply register your kit when it arrives collect a small poo sample pop in the tube seal in the original box and return with the label supplied. You then get a notification when it's received and his results were ready in 2 weeks. The report you get is very detailed and I was very shocked at just how poor his gut health really was hardly any good flora which made me feel quite sad 😥 I now have recommendations on what he needs to improve things including dietary changes, foods to avoid and a 6 month supplement plan to restore and repopulate his sensitive tummy. He's been on the supplements roughly 2 weeks now and we are starting to see improvements his tummy no longer gurgles in the morning and he eats breakfast without and issues (before he had a sore tummy and was very uncomfortable eating) or eating grass. He's still quite itchy but it's early days and I'm sure that will improve as his gut does.
I have Autism and can find following tests etc quite overwhelming and I'm not great with technology either but the team have been so kind and helpful I can't fault them at all! Anyone who's dog has a sensitive tummy, poor skin, allergies etc I can highly recommend Biome9 gut discovery and their supplements as it has made a huge difference to Gizmo in a short space of time. I now also have my older dog on their vitamin supplements and she's loving them!

Our 15.5 year old boy suffered with grand mal seizures for over 7 months until we discovered Biome9. The vets were called out to put him to sleep in January 2024 due to him losing his sight during a seizure and us questioning his quality of life, but I was convinced it was all related to his gut health. The vets had denied this was the case and kept advising it was likely a brain tumour. Thankfully, I did my own research, reading more and more into the gut-brain axis and the strong connection between the 2. Benson had been suffering with Gastrointestinal issues approx 2 months before the seizures started. We discovered Biome9 and felt we had nothing to lose and decided to complete a gut health test. The results indicated that his gut had been stripped of anything good. This was due to 10 weeks of oral antibiotics prescribed for potential ear infection, which actually turned out to be a food intolerance! The damage done was completely avoidable had the vets explored other possible causes for his symptoms. Benson's last grand mal seizure was on 25th April 2024. We started the supplement plan suggested by Biome9 mid May 2024. He has since remained seizure free - just over 9 months!!! I'm no scientist, but it's clear to see that the Biome9 supplements have hugely supported Benson's gut health, which in turn has supported his seizures. Long may it last - we hope to never experience a seizure ever again!! We will forever be grateful to all at Biome9. They truly saved our boy's life!

Quick to take you money, slow to provide the service

My little dog has suffered with runny bum & skin complaints on and off for years. She's a fussy eater even though she has a premium food. I've tried her with lots of different gut health products over the years but nothing seemed to make any difference, until I gave her biome9. OMG this product just wonderful, she now has perfect, proper solid,big poos, her appetite is the best it's ever been and her skin & fur is beautiful. She eats every meal and can't wait to have her 'pudding'! ( Of biome9 probiotic & skin guard)and it smells so good too.
This product has changed both our lifes, my little doggie is happy and playful again and I no longer have to wash her bum every time she has a poo. Such a wonderful product that we couldn't do without now. Thank you Biome9 your stuff is bloody brilliant.

At 6 months old (April 2024), my puppy developed hives, and it’s been a downward spiral of skin issues ever since. He experienced excessive scratching and dry skin, with his ears oozing and forming open wounds that crusted over and gradually caused baldness. Pustules appeared all over his body, spreading rapidly and creating weeping wounds, substantial scarring, and hair loss. He even scrubbed his face against the carpet until it bled, resulting in abrasions on his face.

He was put on long antibiotic courses and a high dose of steroids. We did expensive allergy tests, but they returned no reactions.

The only conclusion I could draw was that he had poor gut health. Observing that his entire litter was also suffering from similar issues reinforced my belief that the precautionary antibiotics they were given at birth had severely compromised both their gut microbiome and their immune system.

Didn’t do the gut analysis just used the online questionnaire and ordered the gut supplements as my dog has a very sensitive stomach and has had a lot of loose poo’s and mucus lately. Been on the supplements for about a week and her poo’s are the best they’ve been for ages. So pleased. She also loves taking them unlike a lot of other supplements.

My Cockapoo, Cooper, is a very healthy dog, and I have him on a raw meat diet. However, I wanted to check his gut health to ensure everything was functioning well. The testing process was straightforward; the kit arrived promptly, although I encountered a minor issue during activation. Thankfully, the Biome9 staff was very helpful in resolving it. Cooper's results were insightful—despite his excellent diet, his gut needed a replenishment of certain bacteria to achieve optimal health. We decided to follow a six-month supplement course, and I'm pleased to report that Cooper is doing well as we continue with the regimen.

From the poop grabbing /sending to day 2 now of the supplements! Straight forward, quick and easy. Biome9 came up on the socials last year sometime after the holidays, when I was still worrying about my dog’s health after most probably trying every health idea and fish oil to try and keep her healthy inside and out! Watching your pooch itch and attack her feet and paws a lot suddenly isn’t something I’ve enjoyed for the last year to name just one of the visible problems! Calling it a seasonal or environmental allergy all through over a year for sure doesn’t sound right! Especially after trying quite a bit of generic aids to supposed to help! The recommendations and detailed analysis reports from the poop grab is a full education (all parts) from things that might be visible to what might be causing certain unpleasant behaviours. Not just the farts. Like every company that is starting up, especially the small ones, there’s bound to be a few delays here and there to make everything fit seemingly perfect for all the different dogs and their hoomans. A call from Jemma at Biome9 today was not only reassuring but also full of advice and answers to my never ending list of questions. I have 3 dogs all competitive agility dogs. Elsie 4 year old whippet often had loose poos so I wanted to test her but also the other 2 as well. I was a little sceptical that the results would be the same as would the recommendations but all had different results.
I’ve made the dietary tweaks recommended and we’ve just finished the first two months supplements. I’m definitely seeing a difference

My Irish Setter Murphy has a rare condition he bloats daily has 3 Gastropexy in him had numerous tests scans etc and aged 18 months the vet said that he wouldn’t make it! Biome 9 did his gut test and recommended a 6 month plan which we are into month 4 now and although it hasn’t stopped him from bloating he is more lively, playful and loving life- he will be 4 years old in September and I can’t imagine life without him- thank you biome 9 for helping my very special boy

The kit came with very clear instructions and was easy to use. I got the results and report back very quickly. I was expecting there to be some issues but what was discovered was really eye-opening. He has been lacking in almost all of the good bacteria he needs, despite being on a very good diet and supplements and healthy treats. It makes sense as to why my dog was having recurrent stomach upsets, among other things such as diving after other dogs' fresh poo for an extra snack! The vets had been unable to help with this and over the counter supplements, while helping a little hadn't resolved the issue at all. I found the detailed analysis really helpful and have now started him on the recommended supplements. It is early days but I feel confident that I can help my dog to be healthier and happier. It is a relief to know I wasn't crazy thinking there was something wrong. I am so grateful to have been able to get this information.

Aditi my 6 year old Pocket Bully has been plagued by one health condition after another. She has been deaf for a number of years and has struggled with her joints and food intolerance. She's now at the point that most proteins set her off. She has been incredibly ill last year requiring multiple courses and varieties of antibiotics. As well as various steroids etc. This has resulted in her finally ridding herself of a long running infection in her inner ear which has given her back some of her hearing. Biome9 popped up on Facebook and I decided to have a go with it, as I wanted to see what I could learn about her biome. As well as assess the damage so much antibiotic use would have no doubt done. So it's been no surprise to learn that she has hardly any bacteria in her gut with regard to variety. She has only trace amounts of about 3 types, plus an over overabundance of one sort. So now I'm going to go with the course of treatment recommended by them to see if I can't get her back to her youthful self. It's been a very useful and insightful tool this test. I'm now going to go ahead and do my other 6 bullys!!

I was a little worried about how my dog would find the supplements as she has had issues with others in the past. However these really suit her, she's moving better, no skin flares and stomach is comfortable, and the added bonus is she absolutely loves them!

I sent Bonnie’s sample off as part of this company’s alpha testing programme. I was curious to test her health as she is a rescue dog and I don't know about her history. The report was really informative - I didn’t realise how much impact the gut had on overall health for things like behaviour, joints and even heart disease. It’s totally changed how I’ll now think about caring for my dog. Definitely worth doing if your pup has issues you want to get to the bottom of.

The analysis was comprehensive and very interesting. I loved the way you can talk through your dog’s results with their team to help understand them further. Like Zoe for dogs. More than just interesting. I’ve been making my dogs food for years now but, to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing. I just formed assumptions about what they ought to eat based on things I had seen and heard. Then I saw this company and thought this is exactly what I need: something that tells me what food my dogs need to keep them healthy. The results of the test came quick and showed that both dogs weren’t getting the right nutrients. They both needed more chicken as well as various fruits and vegetables that I would never have even thought of giving them including peppers and apples. We have now changed their diet based solely on these recommendations and will test them again in a few months time. They absolutely love the food and inhale it within about 5 minutes so I feel confident that it’s right for them and I expect the results will show that.
