Will not use again
I purchased from Big On Electricals having seen what I needed at a competitive price and crucially with next day delivery (which I paid for).
Unfortunately the item did not arrive next day, or the next day, but after three days.
I contacted customer services to let them know about the very slow delivery and to ask for a refund of the next day delivery service that I paid for, which wasn't fulfilled.
Unfortunately their reply was poor. They denied responsibility, fobbing it off as a courier problem and saying that next day wasn't guaranteed.
I replied pointing out that my contract was with Big On Electricals, not the courier. I asked them to reconsider my refund request.
Their reply was then even more dismissive, stating they had no liability.
So sadly I have turned to Trust Pilot to share my poor experience with Big On Electricals.
I will certainly not consider purchasing from them again, in part due to the poor delivery speed and secondly due to their poor customer service response.
I do fund it surprising that Big On Electricals would be so desperate to retain the delivery cost I paid (£4.90), rather than retain me as a customer.
So, sadly I cannot recommend Big On Electricals.

We’d like to clarify that the delivery charge paid applies to orders under £50, rather than being a fee for a guaranteed next day service. All orders placed on weekdays before our cut-off time are dispatched the same day, and while we aim for next working day delivery, this isn’t a guaranteed service as delays can occasionally occur once the parcel is with the courier.
We understand your frustration, especially when you were expecting the item sooner, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

A great store
A great store, easy online ordering. I bought a humidifier, mine had broke, it arrived next day I couldn't believe how quick it arrived, I was so pleased as I use it to dry washing. It was well packaged too, very impressed.

Terrible service, not possible to cancel or edit an order unless weekdays or paying 25 to cancel order. Postage expensive.

After reviewing the details of your order, we can see that you contacted us to ask where the delivery was and when it would arrive. At that time the order had already been dispatched and was with DX, who were out for delivery that day. As DX is a palletised courier service, they don’t provide specific delivery time slots or ETAs, as the timing depends on the route and the number of deliveries on the vehicle.
You can cancel or amend an order free of charge before it has been dispatched. Once an order has already been shipped, a charge may apply if it needs to be returned, as this covers the courier and handling costs involved.
From the correspondence we have, the query raised was about the delivery status rather than a request to cancel the order. If you do ever need help with an order, our team is always happy to assist during our support hours.

Helpful product information
Helpful product information (on a transformer) which was exactly what I required for the job I was doing. I called and spoke to a sales person to ask if the unit would drive low voltage halogen lamps. Very helpfully, although he did know the answer the person I spoke to volunteered to find out for me and promised an e-mail response. Sad to say, this never happened and I had to call the manufacturer myself to find the answer.
