The sale of our property was very complicated due to Deeds of Variation to change our lease and having to deal with our Estate Management Company, their solicitors, plus Landlord solicitors and finally, our buyers solicitors. Time taken to reach decisions was,
to put it politely, a painful and long drawn out procedure...10 months to be precise.
We were extremely fortunate to have Ollie Rivers from Bidwells to negotiate us through the minefield. Without his help and enormous input we are convinced that our sale would have failed. We have bought and sold a number of houses in the 40 years and without doubt, Ollie has been the best agent we have ever dealt with, very highly recommended along with his colleagues at Bidwells.

One of the worst estate agents around Cambridge.We try to rent commercial property second time with them.First time they wrote us "this place not for use a cafe" but after a month some one open a cafe in a same place. Second time we show interest for another place and they keep us more than a month and at the end they wrote us "this place now under offer".Never work again with Bidwells.

I recently completed both a sale and a purchase through Bidwells Cambridge. After a bad experience with a local competitor I was hesitant about dealing with estate agents in general, but I couldn't have had a better service from Bidwells. The property market in Cambridgeshire is fraught, but Bidwells really looked after us and were genuinely interested finding us a solution.

Our sale:
We saw a house we really wanted to move into but our property wasn't up for sale, so we needed to move quickly. Bidwells were straightforward from the beginning. Their valuation of our flat was sensible and realistic and resulted in us getting an offer in ten days despite neighbouring properties struggling. Their local market knowledge was spot on and when the transaction hit some obstacles, the team were so professional in helping keep it alive. I'm particularly grateful to Jess Arnold for her patience and responsiveness. Thanks also to Amy Farmer and Izzy.

Our purchase:
Viewing the house was straightforward, we weren't bunched in with others for pressure. We felt our chances of securing the house were slim so wrote a letter to our seller which Bidwells kindly passed along. No games or using us as leverage. Excellent communication with our solicitor. Thank you!

I asked six estate agents on Thursday / Friday for Saturday viewings of properties on sale. Three didn’t respond. Two responded but couldn’t offer any viewings. Bidwells arranged 4 viewings at short notice. These were conducted by experienced and helpful staff, who highlighted the good points of the properties. Not surprisingly, 2 of these 4 properties went under offer on Monday. It seems to me that Bidwells does the best for its sellers by being responsive to the needs of the buyers. Other things being equal, e.g. fees, it is the agent that I would use if I were to sell a property in Cambridge.

We recently moved to a new build where Rebecca at Bidwells was acting for our purchase. Throughout a very stressful and protracted process caused by issues with the chain below us, she was always there with advice and support, and was instrumental in keeping the chain together and getting us all to exchange and completion. If it wasn't for her, we really don't think we would have managed to secure our lovely new home.

We learned the hard way to value the dedication and professionalism of Ollie Rivers and colleagues at the Trumpington office, to whom we turned after receiving dreadful service from another local agent. It proved very difficult to find a buyer for our flat and then there were endless problems over cladding, ground rent and so on. I have just finished the process of starting a flat rental through Bidwells, and have been extremely impressed by Jake Jackson's performance, who led the process from Bidwells' side. Jake was polite, helpful and efficient, and we were able to go from flat viewing to signing contracts in 5 days. The Goodlord platform that Bidwells uses for background checks etc is also very user friendly and efficient.
