Had a solar Bettabot pool skimmer delivered in May. Noticed the other day one side of the unit turned a different color. Like the resin in the plastic was different or something. Looks terrible. Sent pics to customer service and they said there is nothing they can do. Sorry. So basically a unit that isn’t even 4 months old isn’t replaceable due to a manufacturer defect. Wow. Disappointing. Don’t purchase their stuff. Their support after the sale is nonexistent.

Don't waste your money! I purchased a NEW Betta pool skimmer in August, 2025 to the tune of over $300. It ran the month of August, then we closed our pool. I ran it from May-July when we opened our pool again the next year and it completely stopped working. Like, not working at all - dead in the water. I contacted Bettabot.com since it was still under warranty (there is a year warranty according to their website). They made me jump through all kinds of hoops to prove it was no longer working - turn it on, turn it off, take a video, take another video and finally, take ANOTHER VIDEO. Which I did. Finally, as a COURTESY TO ME they wrote, they will replace it with a refurbished unit. What? I was supposed to send back the broken one - package it up, print a label, drive it to a UPS store or schedule a pick-up. No, just no. Super rude people and a terrible product that breaks within months of use. Then just try and get a replacement under their warranty. So don't waste your money, there are other companies that make pool skimmers at the same price point, and hopefully with a better product and certainly better customer service.

I expected durability for what I paid, but what I got was a product with a built-in expiration date. It broke right at the one-year mark, and the company's only solution was to try and sell me a replacement. Their 'support' is just a sales pitch in disguise. It’s a dishonest way to run a business. Do yourself a favor and find a brand that values integrity over forced upgrades.
