We inherited a BeeTee alarm system when we moved into our new home three months ago. As we were unfamiliar with the system, we hadn’t used or activated it since moving in.

However, at around 10pm last night, the alarm suddenly activated without warning. Despite having the code, we were unable to silence it, resulting in a very loud and prolonged disturbance to both our household and neighbours.

We immediately contacted the BeeTee out-of-hours support line. While an engineer did call us back, we were shocked by the response we received. He informed us that because we did not have a maintenance contract, he could offer no assistance whatsoever—not even basic advice on how to stop the alarm. He instructed us to call the office in the morning to set up a customer account.

When I pointed out that the alarm was actively going off and disturbing the neighbourhood, his response was "It’s not my fault; our bosses have told us not to help non-customers because they don’t pay."

I found this response incredibly unprofessional, lacking in empathy, and frankly unacceptable during a situation that was clearly distressing. At the very least, I expected some form of basic assistance or temporary solution from the company responsible for the system. We would have, of course, gladly paid a call-out fee on the spot if that had been an option.

Thankfully, we then contacted Milton Keynes Security Ltd, who were able to respond within 30 minutes—despite the system not being theirs—and professionally decommissioned the alarm without hesitation. They were polite, calm, and incredibly helpful, allowing us to settle payment the following day.

While their engineer mentioned we could contact BeeTee to reinstate the system, I would rather pay for a completely new alarm than continue with a company that showed such a lack of responsibility, care, and customer support in a time of need.

I am absolutely appalled by this experience and urge BeeTee to review its out-of-hours policy, particularly when a faulty system causes a public disturbance. There should be some level of support provided in urgent situations—especially when the equipment in question was installed by your company.

Brilliant company. Have been using them for 20 years or more. They have never let us down. Today we have had our regular maintenance performed by the efficient and polite Barrie. Well done all, on a great business.

Great work by Michael to install a Security system to our church rooms. Well used rooms Michael easily worked around our hirers.
Working on his own for 2 days Michael installed
phones to 5 rooms with the accompanying wiring.
System now up and running 🤞all hirers appreciate they are now safer in the building.

Annual service visits are always on time and stress free. Don't ever get the feeling they find an issue to bump up the cost. Just get the feeling they are a good honest company. Dave was great at the last annual visit too!

Have used Bee Tee Alarms for many years. Our system needed updating and the quote process was undertaken very quickly. As my wife is disabled, I had to arrange some matters with the installation department so that we could all do what we needed to do. The engineer turned up right on time and carried out the work fully as agreed. Well done to all.

After having new cables laid for internet, we were left without a landline and connection to our cctv. After talking to Barrie on the phone he offered to call in on his way home. Not only did he sort out the problem with the cctv connection he also got our landline reconnected. He is a credit to your company, I can’t thank him enough! Today their engineer AN07.G called and I didin’t answer door as I was in garden. After a phone call he returned same day and serviced my alarm system quickly and efficiently. He was very polite and helpful
