Our group of companies recently experienced what I can only describe as perhaps the most dramatic and unexpected accounting bombshell to have hit us in our forty years of trading. I am unable, for legal reasons, to detail the precise circumstances, but believe me when I say our board of directors was flabbergasted. Uncharacteristically, we didn’t know which way to turn.

BBK has been our accountants for about 15 years now, and to say that they took the reins and navigated us through what seemed to us to be insurmountable problems would be an understatement.

They grasped the nature of the issue (which was neither tax nor poor business-related, as we are a successful group), so quickly and reassured us that all would turn out fine and would be better than before the incident.

Within 24 hours they had deployed a team to work for us full-time for weeks, bringing things back to normal. Without this outstanding rescue team we would have been in deep trouble.

My directors and I,in my capacity as CEO, truly cannot thank BBK enough. There are too many team members to thank individually, but you all know who you are, and we owe you a huge debt of gratitude. I would have thought that there are very few small to medium sized accountancy practices that would be able to get a specialist team together and put them in place within a day to help a client in dire need.

Putting this issue aside, we couldn’t feel more comfortable with an accounting firm that we can, quite literally, phone late at night when there’s something that can’t wait until morning. Such occurrences are rare, but when they happen, it feels as though we are speaking to friends rather than your typical clock-watching accountants.
