What a lovely business.
Upon selling my late dad's property, I was very impressed with the owner (sorry I forgot her name) when she came to give me a quote. Unlike 2 other companies, she didn't point out the parts that needed updating or pull the property to bits. She saw all the potential with it's size and the amount if land it came with. The whole thing from start to finish was total stress free for me as Barkers did all the viewings, the chasing (when they had to) they were on it! I highly recommend Barkers Estate Agents Low Lane, Birstall.

We would highly recommend Barkers as an agent. Chris has been amazing throughout the process of buying our first home. He really went above and beyond in keeping us updated throughout the whole process.

Georgina and Chris were very helpful in the sale of our house They came without complaining with various clients Due to illness we have had to take it off the market repeatedly over the last couple of yrs but thank goodness when we said put it back on the market They sold it and now we have exchanged and hoping to move next month

I used barkers for renting a property. The staff don’t know what they’re talking about, I was hung up on when asking important questions on our move in day as they didn’t know the answer. We were given out of date and incorrect safety certificates.

Constantly have to chase to get work done as they ignore you and things never get completed. The staff are rude, unapproachable and not understanding. We put A LOT of effort in when leaving the property and making sure it looked better than when we moved in. The proof was in the inventories before and after our tenancy with photos and comments to back this up, yet we still had to pay a fee when we vacated the property. The person who attended the property after we vacated to do the inspection and inventory left a big dirty mark on the carpet to which they tried to get up to pay for. Luckily we got a video of the flat before leaving proving this was not us.

Generally a disappointing experience overall and would not use them again.

Georgina helped me purchase my first home it was such a pleasant experience. She was providing support throughout the whole process and even post-sale. She is such an amazing estate agent to deal with. I would highly recommend Barkers Team for your next purchase.

My husband and I had to make the difficulty decision to downsize and move to a different area. Having registered with both local agencies in Shenley, Barkers and more importantly Georgina, demonstrated expertise and professionalism way beyond that of the other local agency. Our "wish list" and "budget" could have put the most patient of agents into a spin, but Georgina remained calm and supportive throughout the process. She was instrumental in her negotiations, managing to keep both her client ( the vendor) and us secure in the knowledge that she had our best interests at heart, and would often be available out of usual office hours to keep both parties " in the loop."

I initially did not market my house with Barkers; despite my gut feeling being that I should have chosen them. I foolishly went with a "national" rival whom I was very disappointed in. Thus I switched to Barkers and the difference in service was immeasurable.

Chris Newell is extremely knowledgeable and a good businessman and genuinely cares. Even when I did not initially let him take the house sale on, he still gave me advice and then when I became completely disillusioned with the other company, happily welcomed me back and marketed my home extremely well- listening to me and ensuring I was happy with the decisions.

Georgina Newell was exceptional. Professional, approachable and always willing to go the extra mile. She has a measured approach and excellent judgement. She found lots of viable buyers and when things became a little unstuck with a Land Registry issue, it was Georgina who came up with the answer! Not the highly paid solicitors who did not really know what to do!

We recently sold our property in Radlett through Barkers. We tried one agent in the area. After trying others, whether it was clash of personality or lack of performance, we gave sole agency to Barkers.

When we first met Chris from Barkers, we liked him immediately. Very positive, listened to everything we said and wasn't pushy at all. It was all at our pace.
We never had to show the property even if we were in. Sometimes his delightful daughter Georgina showed prospective buyers round. Chris and Georgina are very honest and completely trustworthy.

They wont say anything just because its what we want to hear. You may feel your house is worth more, but Chris will give you a correct valuation of what your house will sell for. All agents will give different valuations, but if too high, no one will buy it! They put a lot of time and effort into selling our property. We relied on them 100% and they never let us down.
We wont be moving again in the near future, but if we did would definitely sell through them.
As far as we are concerned, they are the best Estate Agency in the area to sell your property.
