NIC ECCLES is absolutely useless it takes him days to return calls and when he does he's on the mobile driving home and the signal is awful he lost evidence and kept reminding me that I'm on legal aid and should be grateful for what I'm getting he did not fight my corner during my case and did not get the result I wanted Nic Eccles just sat back and allowed a miscarriage of justice to be carried out on his watch it was so bad that I went to speak to Gavin Edmondson solicitors in Northwich and they had to go back to court to get the right results which took another 12 months but was definitely worth doing if you are thinking about using Nic Eccles at banister Preston PLEASE speak to Gavin Edmondson solicitors first you will definitely get a much better result Gavin and his team were unbelievable brilliant compared to what we went through with Nic Eccles and if you are stuck with Nic Eccles and not having good results get hold of Gavin

I have always been told how stressful it is purchasing a home and how long solicitors take to complete. I can confirm this was not the case with us.
I was always kept in communication by Nichola and Elizabeth and there was never any delay on getting back to me.
Prices are a lot cheaper than others and the process was surprisingly quick. Searches didn't come at an additional cost either.
Cant recommend enough and we shall be using this company again for any future home purchases.

The worst lawyers I've ever come across in my entire life Nic Eccles was absolutely useless and aloud a miscarriage of justice to happen on his watch he did not fight my corner and stood by while gender bias and false aligasions where carried out against me it was so bad I had to contact a Barrister from Northwich called Gavin Edmondson to sort my case out and go back to court for another year to get a decent result and correct the mess Nic Eccles had caused and as for that Barrister Arron Thomas that nic Eccles uses he hasn't got the ability to fight his way out of a wet paper bag and was also guilty for the miscarriage of justice that was carried out both of these two need to be avoided at all costs

We used Bannister Preston as they were recommended by Taylor Wimpey; however, we have never come across a law firm who make so many mistakes and totally regret using them. From mistakes made to our name entered on Stamp Duty Land Tax forms to mistakes in the final financial figures upon exchange of contract. As a direct result of Bannister Preston mistakes we are having a nightmare trying to reclaim additional Tax we paid on a second property after we purchased the Taylor Wimpey house and sold our own house three months later and having to change UTRN numbers due to mistakes made which has totally complicated the whole tax refund process.
We are totally disillusioned and unhappy with Bannister Preston law company and regret using them which has caused a lot of stress and anxiety.

This was for a divorce settlement and Nic Eccles was the partner who managed this. It's very difficult to be fair on this. I do not believe that this was handled badly but having read the reviews, I am also not sure Nic got the best result for me either as I just accepted what he said. What really annoyed me however was when I had completed the process, I had paid £5000 (inc VAT) for this plus disbursements. 2 years later I did need to clarify a few points with Nic as I had a final payment to make to my ex. Nic or BP were not required to make any actions other than responding to a few emails to myself. I was however a bit annoyed when I got an unexpected further bill for his time and emails of about £500. When I drilled down into the costs, they had even charged me for 2 emails and replies where I just asked if I could pick up my divorce certificate from their reception. When I queried it, I thought it was unprofessional of Nic to respond that the cost of their fees were not much when compared to the settlement with my ex wife. Their final invoice also stated that they had sent me a list of fees at the start of the recent contact (which never happened). It just left a bad taste in my mouth and the feeling that if I came to their offices bringing him a donut and coffee then he would charge me to take them off my hands and consume them. I have used them previously for conveyancing which was excellent but I will not be using them again.

We were given these solicitors by our estate agents. And may I say our case was a breeze and always very professional. Krishna was very professional and on the ball with all enquiries. My experience with them was extremely frustrating. Due to their oversight, my land registry process was delayed by over 2 years, which significantly impacted my remortgage process. I was forced to endure punitive rates because the necessary land registry document was missing. Worse still, Bannister Preston did not offer any assistance to expedite the land registry application, nor did they inform me when the process was finally completed. I only learned of the completion by contacting HMRC directly, a full 8 months after the fact! Their service was not just disappointing but also profoundly unprofessional. This experience has caused me considerable stress and financial strain.

Wonderful experience with this firm, our house-buying process was completed fast. Special thanks to Natalie Charles and other members of the team. I recommend this firm to complete your dream house purchase.

Been reading the reviews and sad to see the 1 stars. We've been using BP and have to say they’ve been on it every step of the way! Natalie and Barbara are on it and constantly chasing and updating us along the way. The process has been speedy and we would deffo recommend for a house purchase!

If you want to really know how this Firm operates just look up the Ground Rent Scandal. Purchased a Taylor Wimpey property in January 2009 with unbeknown to us doubling Ground Rent. Now property cannot be mortgaged or sold. This Firm admits no advice whatsoever was given in relation to the Ground Rent nor was a Report on Title issued

Great response!!! Taylor Wimpey's offer changes the Ground Rent to one based upon RPI which means that you are even worse off than with a doubling Ground Rent.
