Customer service was very friendly, helpful and efficient.
First time using them to scrap some silver.
I was served by Jeylan who was extremely helpful. My friend also praised the customer service he received from another colleague when he scrapped some gold.
Prices were best around and we really appreciated the first class service and how easy it was to set up an account despite being first time customers.

Very slow service. I paid for my gold bar and then had to wait weeks just to be told it was ready for collection. In that time, the gold price went up and then dropped again, costing me the profit I should have made. Extremely frustrating and unacceptable.
The only positive was the friendly reception lady, so I’m giving 3 stars for her alone.

they sell you the metal hold your money for 20 (working) days and if you're lucky you may get delivery. Why don't they just say we don't have it available right now so that i can do something else with my funds rather than they pocket the interest ... shocking!!!!

Company name should be Baird & Cowboys (I'm assuming that's what the Co. is short for).
Placed an order on 5th February 2026, everything seemed fine as payment was successful.
Showed as £xxxxx paid and 0 left to pay on order and order Processing.
After checking the status of my order a few days ago I noticed my order had been cancelled on 10th February for some strange reason, maybe because Gold & Silver prices was more expensive and Baird & Cowboys couldn't fulfil my order at purchase price?
No call or email to advise me that my order had been cancelled and why.
Sent an email in early hours of 20th February, I didn't expect a reply right away so called them later on 20th February for more information and my call was cutoff after 30 mins waiting.
Total shambles.
I placed 4 orders with The Royal Mint at the end of January 2026, all orders were fulfilled within 1 working week with no issues.
Shame on you Baird & Cowboys.

Placed an order on 27th jan, at the time said waiting times were 7-10 days, it’s now the 20th feb still no word on eta for delivery after 2 emails,
Has now been 28 days since placing the order, no communication whatsoever

Perfectly crafted gold or silver bars from a company with heritage and decades of experience. British-made. The waiting time is slightly longer than with dealers, but it’s worth it.

Had an email 5 days ago that the silver had been packaged. Waited a few days for delivery notification then emailed asking where delivery was and had no answer. Emailed again a day later again no answer. I am now starting to believe that they do not have any silver in stock and the 20 day waiting period is to give them time to buy from retail to sell on. Been buying silver for many years but will never use this lot again. Let’s see if I get a reply or are reply’s only for when you give 5 stars.
UPDATE 16 Feb-now over a week since I received the email saying the silver had been packaged. 3 emails sent with no reply and no reply on here either. I will keep updating until I get a response.
UPDATE 18 Feb- had an email from ‘Danny’ saying the silver had not been sent. To be clear had an email 10 days ago saying it had been packaged but they have not dispatched. This makes no sense and is completely unacceptable. I will keep on updating until my silver is received.
UPDATE 22 Feb- exactly 14 days today since I received the email saying silver had been packaged (this was sent by them on a Sunday so clearly this is a business day for them). Now completely disgusted. BAIRDS-can I come to London to pick up the silver you have packaged but are unwilling to send?
UPDATE 4 March-Silver received yesterday working day 19. 3 weeks after receiving email saying silver had been packaged.
This has not been a good buying experience and 1 month wait in current climate is unacceptable-Communications are terrible.
I have upgraded to 2 stars but will not be using Baird again.
