I proudly worked at Bacancy for nearly three years before moving to the UK. Now, want to move back to india for personal reasons, I was excited to re-join the team! I sailed through the first HR round, aced the technical round, and passed the cultural fit round with ease.
But then came a surprise fourth round with HR, Manan, who asked the same cultural fit questions I’d already answered. It felt like running in circles! After two weeks of waiting and hoping, I was shocked to learn—through LinkedIn, no less—that I was rejected for “cultural fit.” My emails to HR went unanswered, which was a real letdown.
Here’s the thing: I know Bacancy well, and many team members (I’d say about 70%) have no soft skills but are still valued. So, the cultural fit excuse doesn’t quite add up for me. I wish the process had been clearer and more respectful.
Bacancy, you’re awesome, but please make hiring smoother and kinder for applicants like me!
