Lost bags and ZERO engagement from escalations team
BA lost bags on outbound to Sardinia. Missing for 24 hours. Bought essentials. Filed report at airport and given world tracer number. On return to UK tried to complete the on line process but the web kept ''looping us out'' either with a message ''sorry our systems are busy please try again later'' or not accepting the world tracer number as a case number meaning we had no way to actually file a claim. Due to previous issues we contacted a member of their escalations team (not mentioned here out of curtesy for the time being). Despite 5 emails we still don't have any engagement. Cannot get a complaint onto their portal, cannot email them. Why are BA so absolutely dreadful at customer service. To boot we are a family of 4 silver card holders. We do spend money with these people! If there is anyone in BA that care enough to respond to social media please respond to this.
Delayed flights and lost baggage
British Airways delayed takeoff from Pittsburgh to Heathrow (We then had a connector to Dublin on Aire Lingus) because of announced paperwork delay and difficulty in closing luggage bays. This made us too late for our connector, which we later found out we could not have made if the flight was on time, and they rebooked us on a British Airways flight that we could make. Our luggage was never delivered. We received one bag on the 2nd day, one on the third and my son's bag was never delivered despite an airtag showing it was in Dublin. Many calls to a BA call center for baggage were less than fruitless. We will see how the damage claims go.

We returned on 18/9/25 - From Athens to Heathrow -BA0633 we were unable to give earlier feedback due to internet issues. The Senior female cabin crew member spent a great deal of time speaking to some customers having gone to great length to address them by their surnames. She went past us and had to be called back so that we could have a drink, no apology was given. The food was dreadful there were three meat choices and one non meat choice we are vegetarian but can eat some fish. We, were given a starter of a smear of red paste a limp piece of lettuce and a cube of cheese the pasta was dry and inedible the pudding was fine. To make matters worse the only white wine they had was Chardonnay which was so sweet and warm. We were very disappointed to receive such poor service and indifferent staff. Our flight out on 2/9/25 was excellent great staff and delicious food what contrast. Please ensure that both Crews receive our feedback

I missed my flight because I was 4 minutes late as I was stuck in traffic. I had to book another flight with a different airlines because of the way the people in cheap Indian call centre talked and were clueless about finding a solution. I then requested for a refund on July the 22nd and it’s still ongoing. I got random emails from these Indian call centres again asking dumb questions once a month and stalled it until now. British airways has lost its flavor. It sold itself to the devil. Please please I implore anyone who reads these reviews along with mine, do not travel with them. It’s not like their service or planes are any better either. Do not give your money to these people. And you can forget about your refunds as that never happens. Please stay away from this airlines and the more we stand up for ourselves and families the safer we are.
Terrible experience with BA
Terrible experience with BA. On the outbound flight I was served chicken with my vegan meal. On the inbound flight our whole row had no power to the entertainment system, so we had to stare at blank screens for 11 hours, couldn't even charge our devices. They didn't even offer us free wifi.
After multiple complaints we were offered some points and upon requesting a refund we were offered a voucher for BA. A voucher is not a refund, why would I want to fly BA again after such a terrible experience? I expect a proper refund as the in-flight entertainment is included in the ticket price.
BA Executive Club nightmare
I have been trying for about 6 months, unsuccessfully, to join the British Airways Executive Club.
There is a glitch on its website which is preventing me from logging in.
I have reported this in six different occasions, even escalating my concern to the CEO, Mr Doyle, but to no avail.
I’ve had numoerous emails ignored, promised callbacks don’t happen, and am distantly being ignored by both the CEO and the Head of complaints.
I was told my original account was set up with a technical glitch, so a new account was set up….. it had exactly the same glitch. That was a week ago and no one has responded to any emails since. This is appalling customer service and no way to treat a customer.

British airways holiday website is absolutely abysmal - just been painstakingly searching for a holiday and I must say British airways web site comes last out of easyJet and TUI first followed by Jet2 and a long, long way down I would put British airways - not user friendly or intuitive at all, surprised anyone uses it to book holidays.

The flight to Cyprus flew us into an alternate airport because of fog. This happens all the time apparently but no additional lighting has been installed in Cyprus? 12hrs to get to our destination.

My flight out of JFK NYC Cancelled and I was dumped at 11pm in Jamaica Queens NYC with no real idea or instructions on where to go.
My recent flight to Sardinia was honestly no cleaner than a dog kennel!
Bubble gum on my shorts from the arm rest, bodily fluids sprayed on backs of seats and Perspex on windows from sneezing and coughing, food down the sides of chairs and the food down tray’s are greasy and grimy because they are never cleaned in between flights. The smell of urine and excrement spewing out from the two toilets for roughly one hundred passengers.

So so flight, not great or that friendly but ok with reasonable special diet food. BA’s economy flight tactic of not allowing us to choose seats sucks. Next US flight will be with a provider who DOES allow us to choose our own seats 24 hours ahead. Old couple on our outbound were separated! We were given one option only. Avoid any company racing to the bottom alongside Ryanair.

It slow and often I only end up viewing the lead boarding pass and spend hours jiggling until I can locate the others.
Come on BA it can't be hard to get this right.

To be honest first experiences with BA…
To be honest first experiences with BA was not good. STRANDED FOR 3 DAYS in South America Jan 2025. OnLy GAVE us a voucher for 200 quid to be used within the year. LOGGED a complaint for the awful experiences, missing work etc. No responses from BA with complaint, everytime I rang complaint was always closed down without any notification (total of 3 times I rang). I then attempted to use the voucher due to a bereavement in Aug 2025 and it DOES NOT WORK!!! Now am on hold for GOD KNWs how long for. I WISH I'D NEVER FLEW WITH BA..... At least the colleagues....... they are all rubbish... I'm so full of disappointment got me in circles.

Wheel chair denied to pax that do not speak english
I booked a ticket for my parents to Seattle using booking.com. I will be waiting for them in the US. They do not speak English and need wheelchairs to move around the airport.
BA DENIED 2 OLD PEOPLE A WHEELCHAIR BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO TALK TO ME AS I WAS NOT A PASSENGER ON THE TICKET.
Although the customer service solution was .. put your father on the phone and you can translate for him.. is this a security check or a joke... I paid for the ticket but they could not see the details of then payment so they refused to speak to me... Is this making sense to anyone?
Book Elsewhere not BA
If I could give no star I would, Their customer services are a disgrace, tried to change a name on a booking and got nowhere. Called Customer Service and was mislead and told to go online. Raised an issue with them and just goy AI generated generic emails. At least Ryanair and Easyjet are no frills airlines and you know what to expect. Pretending to be a full service airline and not delivering is very dishonest in my opinion.
