They are not based in Manchester. Their advertising is completely fake. The garments are cheap tat that have no labels in them and are worth a tiny fraction of what they are sold for. Returns are not really an option - to China at your risk and expense! Disgraceful.

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes in the same size, they arrived, one pair is to big and one too small. The company offered me 15% back and the ability to keep the items - for what purpose I do not know if I can't actually wear them. Trying to get a returns process started but they are resolutely avoiding this.
Also order a jumper which was just a knitted print printed on to a sweatshirt of terrible quality.

Don't go near them. Apparently, according to Companies House they are closing down - so probably should not be trading anyway.

If I could give this company a zero,I would. Ordered a cardigan ,received a poorly made hoody in garish colours , which would definitely act as a tent for a small gathering. Avoid this company!!!! Customer service is based on scripted responses. Apparently I can return the item to China at my expense but there is no guarantee they will receive it. They offered that I could keep it ,and they would refund 10%of the cost of the item... joke . Lesson learnt ***

One star is generous! Instagram mug didn’t check reviews for this company. Cheap quality loafers that are really ill fitting and cost of return makes it not worthwhile. Lesson learned! 😕

A wrong item delivered. No free returns. A very long wait for the order to arrive. Offered 10% discount of the item that I did not order and didn’t like.
A misleading information on the website- looks like the company based in Manchester not in China.

I was very disappointed with the garment I received it bore absolutely no resemblance to the item I chose. However the customer care faction has been excellent with prompt follow ups and a caring attitude. Not being in a position to return this garment I have accepted a 15% rebate and the local charity shop will benefit from a donation.

The coat it lovely, good length and fit.

DO NOT ORDER FROM AVERY & ROSE!! Wish I’d read reviews on here before I placed an order! Appalling experience with this purchase and the whole thing feels like a complete scam. I had to chase very slow delivery, then when the ‘luxury’ cardigan arrived it looked nothing like the picture on the website. No labels or tags on the item. When I asked for a refund I was told the preferred option was to exchange the item. When I said I wanted a refund I was told I’d have to pay the return postage… you guessed it, to China (£30). As a gesture of goodwill, they offered me a 15% refund (£6.74) and said I could retain the item. I, like evidently countless others, decided to take the hit as it wasn’t worth all the ongoing hassle. They no doubt base their entire business model on this.

So awful like everyone else, can’t believe i got caught out, has anyone actually got a refund? I bought using my credit card, i wondered if there was anyway i could get my money back that way, don’t want the cost of sending back to china, for them to say it either took too long or got lost? I spent £60 😩 so wish i had seen these reviews before, don’t know whether just to accept loss or try to get a refund and lose even more money sending it back!

Dress was a joke. Material was like a cheap nylon tablecloth. Don't buy.

I wish that I had read the reviews before purchasing, item took 4 weeks to arrive from China, it's not as described, total waste of money, the dog won't even lie on it, so its off to the charity shop.

Terrible company, pretends to be in Manchester, uses pictures of beautiful garments and sends cheap imitations.

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

Product is similar to the pictured item, but not identical. Good value for money, when purchased at less than half price. Sizing is snug, a size higher would have been a better fit.

I received an order which is not wearable. I contacted the company to initiate the return and felt the company was reluctant as they offered me a replacement and a percentage of the cost to keep the item and regift
After persisting I discovered the return is to China and will be slow, expensive and without a guarantee it will arrive.
Don’t use this company. Totally unreliable both in presenting their merchandise and transparency and after sales service.

My order was described as a cardigan. When it arrived, after several weeks wait, it was a cheaply made casual hoody zipped coat type thing!
The cost to return( back to china) was prohibitive relative to the cost of the item and I was warned that loss during transit was at my own risk!
As a gesture of goodwill I was offered a 10% credit . Small comfort.
I am left with an unwanted item that I will send to our local charity shop.

Loved the product. Only complaint was the length of Time it took to eventually arrive Just over 3 weeks ,but worth the wait. Thank you.

Sooooo disappointed DO NOT USE WITHOUT READING REVIEWS, disappointing goods, ordered a pair of shoes that do not appear to be anything like the quality on the website and its extremely difficult to return the item. There is no return form in the parcel or attached to the email confirmation, plus you have to pay for the postage....

Ordered thinking I was ordering from the UK I must remember to read reviews first.

Apart from the fact the item delivered was clothing, it resembled the item advertised in no other way.

Was supposed to be a beautiful cardigan and was nothing like the material or design in the advertisement photo.

Said I could have a full refund if I returned the items to China but it would be at my cost and might get lost in transit and I would not then receive a refund. Said I could keep it and receive a 15% refund which I felt I had to opt for if I were to receive anything back at all.

Company has a .co.uk address and supposedly was established in Manchester but items have to be returned to China at my own cost?!

Fake company. Not based in UK but China. Usally good at spotting these companies but caught out this time! Item not as picture, quality not great. Customer service prob AI by response. No returns label, postage at your expense. Dont expect to get a refund. Dont go near. The only good thing to come out of it was the fleece lined hoodie helped a homeless person . It was at least warm.
