My car was ready when I got to the airport; no waiting at all. I returned the car a few hours late due to flight delay; I was not charged anything extra. I was very thankful.
Insurance4carhire policy rejected in Vancouver car rental office.
On arrival in Vancouver at the start of a 5 week car hire rental we were told that our AIG 'Insurance4carhire' was not recognised by by Ace Rental, our car hire company. We were therefore obliged to take their insurance wihich was a significant amount as the hire was over 5 weeks. So we contacted Autorentals some time later and asked for clarification so that we could take up the matter with AIG when returning to England. Chris at Autorentals took up and resolved the issue which resulted with us being issued a full refund Thank you and well done Autorentals.
When I picked up the car
When I picked up the car. I was given the wrong key. As I was exiting; the attendant said I had the wrong car. So I returned to the car rental booth. I informed them that I was given the wrong car/ key. They gave me the key to a like vehicle(Toyota Camry). I asked if they could just change the contract. Since I already loaded all my bags into the car. I was told no?

Recently, there was an issue with Easirent, a company that AutoRentals booked for me. When I informed them of some extraneous charges, Chris, a dedicated customer service agent, went to work, dealing with Easirent for me! I am currently expecting a refund, thanks to AutoRentals, who stood behind their customer service promise. It’s not often that I find such a company - I recommend them to one and all!!!

While friendly staff and easy pick up from lisbon, have had a bad experience dropping car off due to miscommunication and with extra costs. I decided to book via AutoRentals after finding a good price for a rental one way from Lisbon to Porto. Price seemed much better than nearest competition, so expected some other costs upon arrival in Lisbon. The extra charges included security deposit, and paid for extra cover to reduce this, and for a device to go through tolls. Total cost came to about the same as competitors for about the same deal, so was happy enough. At the time, everything seemed OK, staff at Lisbon office helped answer questions about drop off at Porto airport, and were quite specific of the time I could drop the car off there.
However, on arrival at the Porto office, I was told that there was an extra charge of 140EUR for one way drop off. This was not mentioned at all on pick up. They explained the problem had arisen because the booking from autorentals had been from Lisbon-Lisbon (despite my email and receipt stating Lis-Porto). My contract I signed on closer examination did state lisbon-lisbon, so perhaps I should've mentioned something on pick up in Lisbon before signing, but the fact that I had had a frank discussion about my plans at the time, and was giving explicit verbal information about the drop off at Porto meant that I did not forsee any issues.
I was told to pay the extra charge and a new contract with the additional 140EUR was made up (stating one way fee and Lisb-Porto). I was advised to discuss with AutoRentals about the error. At this point I was obviously upset, as not only did this seem like a hidden charge, but if I was told this upfront, I almost certainly would have gone for an alternative, likely cheaper service, and that choice was taken from me by the service I was provided and the communication.
Autorentals have now come back and stated that there is nothing they will do, stating that in the additional info at the bottom of SurPrice's terms, a one way fee may be included due in pick up. Well, maybe it should have been, but certainly shouldn't be added at the end, and made untransparant. My advice is if booking, book directly via SurPrice, and maybe over the phone, and check the contract closely.

We received a perfect mini van that made travel for my grandson (6) my two sisters and my mother (89) a comfortable travel on our visit to Washington state. AutoRentals.com made things right
My flight was delayed by 2+ hours. When I arrived at the airport, I found that there were no more shuttles because the car rental company was closed. I called autorentals.com, but there was no answer. Ended up taking a taxi to the hotel.
The next morning, the car rental company told me my reservation was canceled and they didn't have a car for me. They assured me that autorentals.com would grant me a refund under the circumstances.
I contacted autorentals.com. They initially refused a refund and would not help me. I ended up booking a car through another company.
About two weeks later AutoRentals.com called me and refunded my deposit. So they eventually made things right, and they are still an option for me in the future for my car rental needs.

I made a reservation 3 months ahead of my trip and was very happy with the price I booked for with Fox.
However when I arrived they had no car for me , partially ruined my holiday as I rented another car for half the time and twice the money. Upon returning home I sent an email saying thanks for nothing and explained what happened. To my surprise a guy named Al went to bat for me with Fox rent a car and got me a partial refund for the difference I had to pay for new car rental.I will use this service again because of the effort to make things right.

AutoRentals is Great, But Beware Routes Car & Truck Rentals
I had a shocking experience with their affiliate (an outfit called “Routes Car & Truck Rentals” near Pearson Airport in Toronto) after renting a car recently. First, they surcharged my credit card for not refuelling the car even though I'd done so just before returning it and sent them the receipt. They then helped themselves to a “cancellation fee” because I'd changed the pick-up time – despite stating on their website that cancellations were free.
So why am I writing an excellent review for AutoRentals? Because as soon as I complained to AutoRentals, they took the matter seriously. The person I dealt with has been meticulous and persistent in getting Routes to refund my stolen cash (though I still haven’t got the “cancellation fee” back as I write). But I’ll definitely rent from AutoRentals in the future because it’s obvious they’re not responsible for my experience at the hands of Routes.
The moral of my story is: use AutoRentals but close your browser if you’re directed to the Routes website.

These guys made our car rental very straight forward. A "sale" was listed the evening before we picked up our vehicle, and these guys offered matched that sale price immediately.
