Having retired from my Estate Agent and Letting business, I'm still managing my rental properties. What I mostly wanted was an app that would keep me compliant with my rental properties. The August app does this through well-written software that's updated regularly, with more features added all the time. Customer service is excellent when dealing with Samuel and staff. I highly recommend the August app

Samuel went out of his way to immediately jump on a call and take the time to take me through how the platform works and how to help me set up for MTD when everything seemed daunting. He was lovely, patient and encouraging - excellent service and great platform, all in one place.

I am impressed by the user interface and the layout of the web browser version. Although I use a Lettings Agent, it useful to be reminded of all the compliance requirements. It feels like a really well researched application, and the response to a query was very prompt.

I have just tried to move some my properties into different organisations (some personal and some in lads) to get ready for MTD reporting and have found this so easy, just drag and drop them into the right place. I'm now ready for the MTD submissions on the personal side. What a great product, it's so easy and intuitive to use. Hands down, love it.

Brilliant app! The Compliance checklist is great, more useful than NRLA for what I need day to day.
The app is super easy to get set up and for me the compliance feature is a game changer.
I previously relied on the NRLA for compliance guidance and a spreadsheet for everything else.

August pulls both together reasonably well. The compliance section is more actionable than reading articles, it just tells me what needs doing and when it needs doing, rather than explaining unrelated legislation. Rent tracking is solid. Still a few features I want that aren't there yet like insurance purchasing. A big plus as-well is how it handles larger portfolios as this was an initial concern of mine. I would recommend to any self managing landlord

I sort of fell into being a landlord. Kept my flat when I moved in with my partner, then my gran left me hers, then we bought a buy-to-let. Before I knew it I had 4 properties, WhatsApp for each tenant, and a spreadsheet I never updated. I'd be lying in bed going through my bank app trying to match up transfers. August didn't fix everything overnight, setup took a weekend and getting my tenants to pay through the app took some persuading. But once it was running, it felt like I had an agent helping me.

Rent tracking is automatic, documents all in one place, I get told about compliance stuff before it becomes a problem. The only things I'd really like added are a way to message tenants directly in the app instead of dropping back to WhatsApp. But for what it is, I'm properly relieved I found it!!

I inherited a property from my dad and had no idea what I was doing. August has been a lifesaver helping me keep track of everything for my property. For me the scariest part of taking on management were navigating all the rules. The app has made the process so much easier, the compliance checklist shows me exactly what I need to do and when, flags my compliance deadlines and stores my certs.

The rent tracking is also very useful and it tells me straight away if my tenant hasn’t paid, so I don’t need to chase as it also does that more me. Only downside is I wish there was e-signing for contracts, etc. However after complaining I’m told this is being worked on soon.

Had an issue where my tenant's rent payment showed as pending for a few days. Team got back to me within minutes, resolved it within the hour and gave me 3 months for free as an apology, this is what you call customer service!

The compliance checklist is a lifesaver
Inherited my mum's flat and had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to be doing. A friend recommended August and honestly it's been brilliant. The compliance checklist told me I needed an EICR done. I didn't even know that was a legal requirement. Tenant pays rent through the app and I get notified straight away. Wish I'd found it sooner.

Been hearing about Making Tax Digital for months and honestly didn't really understand what I needed to do. My accountant mentioned I'd need to start keeping digital records and submitting quarterly and I sort of panicked. August already tracks my rent and income automatically so apparently I'm basically doing it already without realising. That's a weight off. Would be good if the app explained the MTD stuff a bit more clearly in plain English but just knowing my records are being kept digitally in one place has calmed me down considerably.

Well, where do I start. There just exceptional. The app is easy to use, more features on the web browser - always somebody there from support to help out - my tenants love the app. I won’t be leaving anytime soon, and I love it :)

I really like that the user experience and interface is intuitive and everything's not as cluttered as other apps I've tried.
I've spent a lot of time researching and trying out different solutions and they all have their shortcomings. I suppose I like the automation the most as well as AI assistant, but most of all I just hate worrying about fines and compliance, etc. August really solved it for me, like, I it's just so much effort to stay compliant with regulations and keep up with everything plus all the taxes. August is also more affordable for me in comparison to other options.

As soon as I created a property, August told me my EPC and property value, really loved it, I then I went through all the compliance tasks, quite a few I had no idea about!
