Deceptive Telco
Be warned before signing up with Arctel. They use CGNAT, which shares one IP address among many users and constantly causes blocked access to everyday websites and streaming platforms. This directly contradicts their official service summary, which claims it will not impact normal internet use.
When asked to fix it, customer service just instructed irrelevant router resets and refused to resolve the issue without an extra ongoing fee.
Selling a service that does not work as promised is a breach of consumer rights. On top of that, the company appears to be failing to cooperate properly with formal telco dispute resolution, dragging out the official complaint process by missing deadlines and then requesting lengthy extensions. Avoid this provider if you want a reliable connection and a company that respects consumer rights.
Horrible rude staff, horrible product
Tried to resolve network issues but never heard back from the company. It is impossible to get in touch with customer service, their support phone number doesn't ring, the support form on the website is broken, they don't reply to emails. The only time I got someone to call me back was for him to argue with and complain about ME? Absolutely hopeless. Don't waste your time
Best value for money and prompt support
Best value for money. Got the 50/20 NBN from them. So far speed stays at 57/19 which is far far better than Tangerine which is my previous provider. support is amazing very quick to pick up and they are Aussie unlike others who outsource to other countries. In email I asked to change my start date and it was promptly answered. The start of service is spot on and smooth. Only difference is speed, jumped even though the plan is same from previous provider which is 50/20. So far I'm a happy customer hopefully they remain like this even after many people move in. BTW they gave me free high end router which is really really AMAZING. trying to think of any negatives, to be honest, couldn't find any.
Scam
I would give 0 stars if I could. I sent a cancellation request on 30 June 2026, and my internet service was transferred to a different provider on 1 July. Since then, I did not receive any emails from Arctel. I received a connection confirmation email from my new service provider and was also charged by them. Therefore, I believed that my service with Arctel has been cancelled. However, on 29th of July, I received aj email from Arctel's billing team advising that their billing system had automatically generated an invoice on 1 July, and that I was still required to pay the bill including a late payment fee. I explained that I had submitted a cancellation request before the transfer, but they claimed they had no record of it amd insisted that I still had to pay. This is extremely disappointing, as I did everything required to cancel the service amd should not be held responsible for Arctel's failure to process or retain my cancellation request.
Arctel have major issues with drop outs…
Arctel have major issues with drop outs and slow speeds, they will also continue to charge you a monthly fee even after you port your service to a new provider. Arctel advised customers need to call them to cancel their auto payment, quite incredible considering the account has no internet service attached to it once ported. There is also limited customer service as I emailed to advise authority had been removed and not to port initially, however this request was ignored.
My Arctel Super Fast plan was stable…
My Arctel Super Fast plan was stable and fast in NSW, I had no issue at all during last 10mths period, their price is competitive priced. I would recommend Arctel to other. Cheers!…
Worst customer support
I should have read the rating before dealing with these guys.
It takes whole day to connect with their customer representative. I had to make to move to another provider on the same day of activation due to delay in fixing the issue.
My recommendation would be pay few bucks extra but never choose these cheap providers. They might be cheap but their service sucks.
Bad connection time and speed is bad
I got the NBN500 plan, they didn’t connect my internet until 11:30 at night when they were supposed to do it during the day. I also haven’t gotten the speed that is shown, they say 500/40, and I have been getting 30/30, which to be fair it is out of the typical speed window, but my old provider, iiNet, did not have this problem at all,
beware everyone from this fraud company…
beware all user from this fraud company. I have made the payment online for $65 NBN connection which was on special deal but this fraudial NBN company ripped my hard working payment in their pocket and the NBN was never been connected to my address. I had to put the ombudsman Victoria in this matter and this company lied a lot to them and refused to pay me back. I wish i could i give them a 0 Rating.

if i could i would rate it 0 stars but I cant.

Their after sales service reminds me of…
Their after sales service reminds me of the GOV.
Poor process and poor Comms.
My air b and B people have had no internet for weeks which has cost me $150 PW also the time on the phone todate is now 4 hours.
All to NO avail.
Great Marketing.
Poor Process and support.
Avoid Arctel!
Arctel have continued to take $65 out of my bank account despite me cancelling with them. They continue to try to delay the cancellation process to continue taking money from you.
The internet service itself is bad with continuous drop outs. DO NOT GO WITH THEM!
Useless
These dudes couldn’t connect me after 2 days of phone support calls and a new router. i asked for a refund for the service they never provided and they played the policy card and said
“Once a service has been provisioned and activated, the associated NBN and provisioning costs have already been incurred. For this reason, the initial monthly charge is not refundable, regardless of the level of usage during that period”
80$ gone to these losers because of incompetent technicians, surprised this company is still running
I online game
I online game, I tried this internet for a day or two. It's absolutely terrible. You'll get the same ping on a good hotspot. You'll get better ping with a wireless 5g modem you can take anywhere in Australia.
Even if you sign up, then cancel the next day because it's terrible. Your still locked in for another billing period due to their 30 day cancellation policy. Look, if they charged 40 bucks a month it'd be good value. But considering they charge the same amount as everyone else, but they're ten times slower, it's just a laughable company.
Arctel is Worst even NBN provider
Arctel is Worst even NBN provider. 1 rented line used for all their customers. A jammed network that cannot even play YouTube on a 500mbps plan. Utter garbage service. I hope you read this review and don't fall for their cheap offer.
I've actually not had a problem at all
I've actually not had a problem at all. Connection was fine, I set up my own BYO modem myself, speeds are consistent even during peak times. I personally have not had anything to fault so far. I haven't needed to contact support though, but imagine I won't need to given how stable everything has been.
Slower than promised and frequent cut
Internet connection was really bad, slow most of the time and frequent cut. When I tried to contact them all I had was the basic blabla so after a while I tried to cancel and been hit by their 30 days notice ...
❗ Do not use this company.

I paid for Express Post and contacted Sogol multiple times by phone and text to confirm this. Despite that, my parcel was sent via regular post instead.
The parcel arrived two weeks later, which defeated the purpose of paying for express shipping. Communication was extremely slow and frustrating throughout the process. Very disappointing experience.

It's a mixed bag good and bad for their promo price I got 65 pm with a eero7 router , 65 locked in for a year and if I leave I have to pay 100 odd for the router or return the router.
Gaming ...,days of good pings days of 35ms , for streaming 1st party apps like Netflix fantastic for streaming 3rd party apps some days good some days eh.
You have to remember what your paying for there is only $5 to $15 dollars difference between isps , it all depends how well you value your money opposed to it's cheap it's a good deal.
Arctel discounts for me end in I mths and then they are on par with leaptel super loop or Aussie broadband , me personally I'm a sim hopper , which means I buy a half price sim at coles or woolies and change companies, same with broadband I will stay till the sale or time ends. If you want quality don't save the 5 10 15 bucks go with a reputable one , if you love savings well if you can live with the odd hiccup this is your cup of tea.
Stay Away from Arctel
Very poor company to deal with- stay well clear. Overcharging, dropouts, extremely poor customer service. My advice is to pay a little extra for a professional internet provider.
