Hi! My name is Cindy and I am the person behind AquaDash, an Australian owned Company, formerly Great Aussie Swim Parkas. I first started Great Aussie Swim Parkas back in 2010 because I wanted a garment that would keep my kids warm and cosy after their swim lessons and would also protect my car seats. Back then I just couldn't find anything. Fast forward 15 years and we can now be found in Swim Schools around Australia and we are building our reputation in the USA. In 2020 when COVID 19 shut down public pools, I decided this was the perfect time to concentrate my efforts on going sustainable and also expanding into swimwear. AquaDash was the result. In short, AquaDash is dedicated to bringing affordable, sustainable quality that is both practical yet comfortable to the pool. They look great, but we're still disappointed
After months of thinking about purchasing this product I finally ended up buying one for each of my girls for after swimming lessons. Unfortunately I have experienced two major issues 1. It's not a true pool to car experience in that putting them on straight out of the pool, they are still shivering and freezing. I need to dry them down with a towel first before putting the parkas on to make the short walk to the car bearable for them. Unless we are dealing with a nice hot summer's day, the step of towel drying first takes part of the convenience out of the idea of the swim parka. 2. Second issue is the zippers - on a number of occasions I have been stuck with the zipper and a wet child. Sure, it may be something that takes getting used to, but there are plenty of zippered clothing items the girls and I own where we've never had issues with working the zip. Other than these things, the parkas look great and they provide privacy and coverage for the kids walking back to the car.

I’m really glad to hear you love the look and coverage.💫 In regards to the zipper, we understand it can take a little getting used to at first, but it’s designed as a two-way zip to allow for more flexibility and comfort when sitting and moving. For warmth, this is not something we have heard before but we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve.

We use YKK zippers as they’re widely considered the best available, though two way zips can sometimes take a little getting used to. The heavier feel comes from the generous cotton towelling we use to help keep you dry and warm after your swim. We appreciate that you still love the garment itself, and we hope that as you use it, your trips to the pool are still made a little bit easier.

A great swim coat

Well my wife ordered capped sleeves but when it arrived she thought that she should get the long sleeve. Absolutely no problem - returned item and new order arrived promptly. She hasn’t actually tried it yet as the weather is still quite warm. Looks and feels great I’m told
