I have been unable to connect with the service team regarding a crack in pool. I have tried this for over two years now. Additionally, our coping is separating from the pool. I picked Anthony & Sylvan because I thought they would stand by their product and would have quality work. Turns out neither is true, they never call back.

Do not trust this company. I was given a contract for $73,500 and give them a deposit of $2000. After all the approvals were done, I was sent a payment schedule that was $89,500 with no explanation. After a conversation with the salesperson he has it was an upgraded heater and other items that I wasn't even aware of. Because of the bait and switch, I immediately cancelled the contract and now I can't my refund back.

I just got an email stating "If we don't hear from you, the company may not be able to recognize your review as genuine". I guarantee this is a legitimate review from a prospective customer. Not only that during the proposal period they offered a free spa and but came back with a $90K+ estimate. So much for the 'free spa'.

Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company! If you ever decide they are your best option please hire an attorney and an engineer to go over the contract and the installation plans. Our concrete work was quoted at $7000, this was to cover the concrete around the pool and drainage. Now we are well over $25,000 just in concrete because of a layout error they made. The site manager has repeatedly stated that they made a mistake but we signed the contract so its our problem now.

Hired them to do a pool rehab since they had built the original pool. The Project Manager they hired was inept and inexperienced. I complained about him and they did nothing until the pool was complete and then they fired him. Now I'm left with a pool with problems; plastered over cleaning vents, skimmers not rehabbed, poor tile job, etc., and they won't call back. My suggestion is to use a smaller firm who cares about your pool.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Check reviews on BBB etc. They completed a new pool installation for us in 2023, for which we paid a substantial amount (well over $100k), and we have had nothing but issues since. We submitted the first warranty claim for the pump, and it took over a week to even get a response—no one ever showed up, and we had to pay out of pocket. To this date- no one has ever responded to us regarding this warranty claim. Now the pool is filled with dust and clogging the filters and the pool servicing company has stated that the plaster was inadequately done. They refuse to clean the pool until the plaster is redone. It has been over a month, and still, no one has come out to even look at the pool. When I email, I rarely get a response, and my calls go unanswered.

Update Feb 20, 2026: We came to a negotiated agreement, and so far they are following their side of it. While the review below is an accurate depiction of the situation at the time, once senior management got involved, we were able to work out a deal that satisfied everyone.

Do NOT hire Anthony & Sylvan to build your pool!

Take a look at all of the Better Business Bureau Complaints to get a good idea of the company culture and how impossible it is to get them to do the job right the first time, on time, or to stand behind their work.

My pool:
1. Took them 2 years to build (they said it would take 8 months, its a rectangle)
2. They used plumbers that don't do pool plumbing (and they plumbed it wrong).
3. They inspected and signed off on the pool when the plumbing was totally wrong and water didn't even flow back into the pool.
4. The pipes underground were cracked and leaking when they signed off on the pool.
5. They denied that the water leaking out from under my pool could possibly be a leak, until they reluctantly came out to check it after fighting with them for almost 18 months.
6. Now they have agreed that there is a leak, agreed that the pool was never plumbed correctly in the first place, agreed that they signed off on it anyway (which is fraud). They are now slow-rolling the repairs to the plumbing and my travertine deck (said it would take a week, but we are at over a month now). The manager literally wrote me an email that said "we don't have any control over our subcontractors' schedules". No joke.

No subcontractors want to work for them because they pay the lowest rates in the industry -so they only get the least experienced subs. Their "lifetime warranty" means that it will take a lifetime before they fix your pool.

We tried to address issues with the Las Vegas construction manager Chris but that was a joke. Initially he started with bullying tactics but when that wasn't working he switched to promising appeasement without delivery anything. After paying $100k up front, I've got an empty concrete nightmare my family gets to look at every day.

Inability to schedule or maintain a schedule.
Don't expect the materials to match any of the samples you selected from.
Communication is horrible and nonexistent.
Don't expect project managers to verify work is done correctly.
Don't expect to receive the site visit reports. We've received two in over six months and that's only on ones we're things went properly.
Don't expect them to respect your property or home. Yes it's a construction area but it doesn't mean we should have to clean up trash or debris that they leave behind.
Designers have no idea about the products that are used, to request the proper design elements are met. Or how items will be installed.
Unprofessional subcontractors.

Don't go through my nightmare. Find a different company.
