Called in to fix a loss of pressure in the boiler. Came and identified 2 leaks and said he needed to order parts. I chased after a week and he had clearly forgotten to order the parts.
Eventually arrived and fixed one leak and not the other, he had forgotten the second leak. Came for a third visit by which time the repair cost had gone from £250 to £750.
Said he had identified a valve near the water tank was frozen and needed replacing. Then during the same visit said there was no power to the boiler. He said he couldn't work out why the power had failed, and that if we wanted him to fix it he would have to charge more !
After he left we found he had cut the electrical cables to the valve near the boiler !
We engaged another plumber who said that the power failure was the result of the cut cables to the valve, that he had not replaced, but left totally disconnected.

At least with this platform we can give our side of the issue,
I am sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the work carried out, however, I do need to correct several inaccuracies in your review.
We also visited over 4 times, and at no point have we made any charge for electrical fault finding which we were not called in to do, the pre existing electrics in your house are all over the place ,
The description of the electrical issue is not correct. The boiler does not receive its main electrical power supply through the two-port valve referred to in your review. The suggestion that disconnecting or working on this valve caused the boiler to lose its electrical supply is therefore factually incorrect.
At the time of our visits, there were already issues with the electrical installation that were not caused by the work we carried out. The condition of the electrics and the previous problems with the installation were also known to you. It is therefore misleading to suggest that the electrical fault was created by us during the repair.
With regard to the plumbing work, the repairs and costs were discussed as the work progressed and were based on the faults and issues identified at the property. The suggestion that the cost was deliberately increased or that work was carried out unnecessarily is not a fair representation of what happened.
I am happy to stand by the work that was undertaken and to provide clarification regarding the actual fault and the electrical configuration if required. However, I cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing electrical problems or for statements suggesting that our work caused a loss of power to the boiler when this is not technically the case.
I would respectfully ask that the review be amended to accurately reflect the circumstances and distinguish between the pre-existing electrical issues and the plumbing repairs that were carried out.
Sometimes we get unreasonable customers we wish WE could AVOID!
3 timers all controling the same heating system !! one for heating 2 zone hot water one for hot water , 2 zone installed another 2 zone timer for the underfloor heating, it was YOUR set up that was the issue !! Not our engineers , nothing added up. So don't blame us for your houses waiting issues!!
P.s we have installed a filling loop drained the system down and messed around for hours at your property and still we have not charged you for our time. We try very hard to meet customers expectations,but some customers want the impossible.

Avoid. This was the worst experience we’ve had using a trader.
We were told certain parts had been ordered, but later discovered the supplied parts were different from what we had been told, and we believe we were significantly overcharged. When we asked what part had been ordered, we were sent a link to a branded version which did not match the generic Amazon sourced part supplied.
Changing a bathroom fan was described as a two person job and quoted at £500. When we questioned the price, we received messages we felt were pushy and pressuring. On the day, only one person attended and the work was cancelled on arrival, although the parts were left at our house.
We requested a refund after discovering the issue with the parts and pricing, but this was refused. We spoke to Citizens Advice who suggested small claims court, although we decided not to pursue it.
Additionally, dirty shoes were worn inside without being removed and our hallway wall was scratched by a ladder during the visit.

Good morning and thanks for the review, we like to reply to all messages as soon as they arrive , although the parts used were as stated exactly as what was quoted we did not specify what brand , the parts we supplied were in fact better than what we had discussed at the time, but due to the difficult nature of your job we had to have 2 men on the job one high at the front and one in the loft , and the vent was down the front 9f the eves in the loft ,whilst I appreciate your ignorance on knowing what is involved with this type of installation,our price was in fact very reasonable given the difficulty in installation due to YOUR particularly house build , we did settle on a refund , but even that it seems is not good en9ught , but we do appreciate your feed back. Next time we will make sure we put a higher price at the beginning so your aware of the actual costs involved , good day!
Trustworthy and reliable
I was having problems with a new smart meter and also the boiler. I was impressed that Lance came out twice over the weekend, at very short notice, to investigate the problems.
He is genuinely helpful, reliable and professional so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Lance and his team were brilliant from the first call when my boiler had started leaking and not working to replacing it with a new one all within days of my call out. Lance goes above and beyond with the service he provides and I wouldn't hesitate in using them again. Needed urgent help
Needed urgent help to get heating working for an elderly lady that we help out. Lance was very helpful and agreed to visit as soon as he had finished the job he was working on that same afternoon.

Terrible service
Terrible service. Lance tried to charge £400 without even properly looking at the boiler. Half cleaned a condensate and the boiler still didn’t work - despite me paying for a service. Wanted to come back and recharge again. Found someone else to put it right. Filthy boots all over my carpet. Cowboy - stay well clear

We won't be refunding any money on the works we carried out, as stated on the invoice your boiler had a blocked condensate syphone, I took photos of the debris that came out the boiler syphone as I suspected you would try and say this.
Firstly the boiler was showing an L2 fault
This initially , from your disruption sounded like the ignition electrodes, you had not told me the boiler was making a bubbling sound other wise ,as I said yesterday , I would have know straight away the condensate was blocked , once I had found this to be the case I cleared the boiler as it was full of water , as you saw, and then removed the condensate trap, and it was full of grit sand and even a bumble bee !! So I cleared that and installed the syphone restarted the boiler at which point it was working fine , so I charged you an hour's fee for 50 minutes work. as I suggested yesterday by email , you need further works , just because we spent 50 minutes yesterday does not entitlement you to a further 2 hours free labour , sorry , I would like to add you swearing at me about costs was totally unacceptable, it was rude and bad manners. So to round off , we have charged fairly for the works we carried out, see picture attached ,it clearly shows the build up of grime in your boilers Syphon,stopping the water from flowing out causing it to back up into the boiler it's self, we will not be re attending for free. And we will not be refunding any amounts . You require further works , if I had suggested this yesterday you would have refused any way. I got the boiler working for you as quickly and efficiently as possible , and I did tell you it may have the pipe work blocked but I said see how it goes .
I believe you received a very good service ,you called and we attended on the same day.

Terrible service. The engineer (if you can call him that) wanted to charge me £400 without properly assessing the boiler. Charged me and left. The boiler still didn’t work. Wanted to come back and charge for another visit with parts. Rude, walked in with filthy boots and had no idea what he was doing. Avoid at all costs.

Also the fact that you resorted to insults also confirmed what I said earlier today, please stay away we really don't want customers like your self, if you expect us to work for free you are sorely mistaken , I suggested the works may involve replacing various parts , but as mentioned above I found it to be a blocked condensate trap, which we duleu cleaned , now you want a full refund because it needs further works to clear the pipe work which I had no way of knowing was blocked , I said to you that may be the case and you said see how it goes, so I charged you one hour for 50 mins work, and the fact I'd need to again charge and hours work you leave this review , please stay away . I pity the next poor guy who has to attend.

cannot recommend Anglian PHE Ltd highly enough. We needed a new hot water cylinder replaced in our small home where space is very limited. It was a physically demanding job; the old cylinder was heavy with limescale and incredibly difficult to manoeuvre, but he handled it all solo with a great attitude.
Lance kept us informed during a slight delay in sourcing the parts and followed up after the job to ensure everything was working perfectly. During the drain-down, a small leak started coming through the ceiling—he reacted quickly, using a specialised vacuum to help clear the water.
He provided the most competitive quote, and the quality of work was exemplary. Friendly, professional, and excellent value for money.

Lance and his team have been so helpful! Really great to know a company that can do just about anything with decades of experience behind them. Theyve quickly made our kitchen functional after it wasn't for weeks post moving into an old house; installing new gas pipes after a leak, new sink, an oven, tiling the entire kitchen in less than 2 days!
He's caught several internal and external leaks and fixed them straight away before each caused damage as well as spotting issues with our house and advising future repairs with no pressure and generous pricing. Very kind and efficient, couldn’t recommend more. Thanks guys!

Thoroughly recommend Lance of Anglian Plumbing, Heating and Electrics for both electrical and plumbing installations and repairs. We have used Lance for both for a number of years at Clare Town Hall and Clare Old School Community Centre and are very pleased with the results.
Very quick to attend faults and very responsive to provide quotes. Completely new heating system and boiler at the Town Hall were installed by Lance and his teams with great results.
Most recent work was replacing emergency lights at the Old School. Thanks Lance.

Lance quoted us for the job we wanted doing and kept us up to date with any changes. He gave us alternative options with any price differences but also advised us on what the best options would be. He kept us informed of when he would be arriving, if any hold ups were likely and how long the job was likely to take. Luckily there were no hiccups whilst he and his colleague were working so the job was completed within the timescale. Had a burst radiator pipe at 8pm on a…
Had a burst radiator pipe at 8pm on a Friday evening called them and they arrived within 30 minutes , stopped the leak identified the problem and said they would return on Monday to fully rectify the issue , which they did! Very good service.

APHE - excellent customer service
Lance @ APHE came to check electrics after my oven blew some of the downstairs sockets. He had previously fitted a new boiler which had to be re positioned for easy access for servicing. This included re routing & adding extra pipe work. Lance also changed various radiators, helped fit a new kitchen & new bathroom. Lance is professional & reliable with excellent customer service. Work was carried out over several months during house renovations
