I ordered 2 dresses on 13th July and the email confirmation said that they would be delivered by Royal Mail Tracked service. I got loads of emails saying it was on its way. I repeatedly asked to cancel the order and for a refund but they kept saying it was on its way. Finally, they gave me a tracking number, which didn’t work, and that’s when I discovered that the dresses were despatched from China. During the exchange of emails they said that delivery would be 4-12 days but it finally arrived 22 days later. I opened the parcel and the dresses are huge – my size 10 is more like a 14 and the material is rubbish. Their website gives the impression they are based in the UK and in one email they said they are a UK company. They have refused to give me a UK address to return the goods. After a week of chasing they finally gave me an address in China. I think it is a scam Chinese company. They are trading fraudulently and are not abiding by UK law. I should have searched for reviews before ordering. (one star is too generous - it should be no stars)

Do not purchase. I wished I had read reviews before I ordered. Extremely poor quality, terrible material, nothing like the image online. In fact it went straight into the recycling bin!!!! What a complete waste of money!!!

A scam!!
Very poor quality clothes both in the quality of the fabric and the fit is ludicrous. Website suggests it is UK based but having to wait 3 weeks for the arrival I guessed it must be overseas and it turns out it's from China.
Emailed the company and after a few replies the email address doesn't work

What a complete joke this company is!! I specifically asked if goods made in UK before I placed an order, was told in a email yes all goods were manufactured and designed in UK!! What absolute rubbish next thing I get an email saying goods dispatched via a foreign tracking service from Asia. Emailed Alva who said apologies for misleading you this is common practice goods designed in UK BUT DISTRIBUTED & WAREHOUSED IN ASIA, a common practice to keep costs down! How about a common practice to mislead the general public??? I don’t think these goods will ever appear I have to write this one off to experience although I will try to recover through the appropriate channels. DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THESE PEOPLE YOU MIGHT AS WRELL THROW THE MONEY AWAY - IF THE GOODS EVER APEAR I EXPECT THEY WILL BE OF POOR QUALITY & ONLY FIT FOR THE RECYCLE BIN!! SCAMMERS!!

They advertise as if they have a "Alva Boutique Shop" in the UK but not so, the product at £34.95 was awful, looked what it was just a cheap item to get your money. When requesting a return They either offered a 40% refund or send the item back to China!. either way they are onto a winner. Trustpilot should remove them. Do not be conned by this outfit, you have been warned.( Not to include ALVA Sweden)

I am relieved that after several emails, starting 5 minutes after placing my order including stating my consumer rights, they cancelled my order and credited me.
Since then I have received emails saying:

Still no goods. They don’t read emails, just asked for more personal data info off me instead of answering my questions. Lots of showy photos on website, clearly paid for to look like a real UK company. Silly me for not checking first. I will be trying to reclaim my money from my credit card provider but not holding my breath.

This company is NOT based in the UK as it advertises on its webpage. It is based in China. The sizes are terrible, very confusing and they will try to get you to keep the product for a partial return. Delivery took forever, and they do not pay for returns under ANY circumstances which means you have to stand the cost of a tracked return to CHINA which takes ages too! This is despite advertising they are based in the UK.
