A fantastic idea that helps students see past the standard university open day pitch. With the high cost of higher education, getting an honest insight into a subject or campus is vital. The intro workshop really engaged the students - they then queued up to sign up! The 1:1 virtual mentor sessions were incredibly helpful and allowed them to make their next step choices based on real information rather than marketing patter

Already Doing It has provided some great opportunities for my students that they wouldn't ordinarily have. It was great for them to have a completely honest conversation with university students and Already Doing It being responsible for the admin side has saved myself a lot of time as a member of staff.

I did a session with Georgina to discuss her experience taking the Professional Acting course at the University of West London, and I found it to be very helpful! She was very dynamic and well-spoken, and she even prepared a slideshow presentation to help guide the session (although she also made sure to allow me to ask questions during our time together). I really appreciated how she discussed details about the school itself, the nitty-gritty about the course, and what life has been like afterwards (including information she wish she had known when she started). I would definitely recommend this to others who are weighing their options!

I booked a session with a mentor on behalf of one of my students who had an interest in psychiatry, and was considering whether this would be a good future option for her. I was also interested in the website, and in finding out whether it is something that would be of benefit to other students I teach.
I'm really glad I did- I was really impressed.

The student I met with was Bella - doing a PhD in psychiatry in Cambridge. She was very enthusiastic about the subject and clearly was very passionate about making a difference in the field of psychiatry. She was friendly and instantly made me feel comfortable. Her communication style was well balanced, being informative without talking too much, enabling me to lead with questions. She was candid about both the field she is studying and also student life. This was really insightful and gave me a clear picture of the pros and cons and also as to whether it would be the right fit for my student.
Overall, I am so impressed with 'Already doing it' and will definitely recommend to others as it is so beneficial for students wanting a 'real' impression of what a course is like, making a tough future decision a lot easier.

AlreadyDoingit is really DOING IT. They are helping so many young individuals like me who are wavering between going to university or not and what the outcomes are like in that specific course and career I am entering. I have a very strong understanding of University and the course I am interested in, all because of my mentor and her great knowledge. So I met this one very kind an relaxed student whilst having an interview about how it is to pick aerospace engineering and the differences in daily life between collage and university, to say the lease we got pretty engaged in the subject as we both liked what we were talking about and what we can achieve doing the corse, the student prepared really well an answered all my question and even som that I didn't even think off, overall the interview went very good and I learnt quite a bit about uni life and aerospace engineering (e.g like what a student would do every year for projects)
