Abandoned Job
I called Allin1garage number and they send a technician named Ben. Ben showed up pass 5pm. The problem with my garage door is that it won't open when it is cold (morning). That's what I told Ben and he said, let me take my tools and diagnosed. He said that the the balancer must be replaced because there is a wider gap on the right side. I ask him how much does it cost for the balancer to be replace? He said, he will try one pair which cost $75.00 each and while working, he replace four. He tries to open and close the door and it works using the switch on the wall. He tries the and it did not work, so he said, he will replace the sensor with high voltage. I ask how much is one sensor, he said $320.00. I was not ready for that amount but since I want my door to be fix, I said ok. So one pair cost, $640.00. After replacing the sensor, he tries to program the remote and it didn't work. He used his remote which he said a high voltage which cost $125.00. He said, he will change the receiver the next day for free because it's getting late (pass 8 pm). He keep saying that he give me discount on his labor which is $120.00. In total, he gave me an invoice of $1,636.69. I ask him, what are the extra amount? He said, the service fee, the tax of the materials and the oil bottles. I told him that his materials are too expensive and he keep saying that that is the price from their company. Anyway, I am willing to pay any service as long the job is well done but in this case, the problem is not solve. Ben did not came back the next day. I called their office and a lady said, something personal happen to him and she scheduled Saturday morning. No show again, I called again on Saturday, a guy (Keith)answered, he said he will reached out with me after 15 mins. but no calls at all. NOTHING is solve in my garage, the problem is the same, it can't be open in the morning, remote is not working. Ben just replace some parts so he can invoice me with high cost of their materials. He even took the old parts of the garage door.
When you open their website, you can only contact them but no reviews. The five stars were fake and their style is to trap you while doing the work and charge you with their so called high end materials.
I am not supposed to pay in full because the job is not done but Ben convinced me that he will be back and even wrote on the invoice the time he will be back and the 5 year warranty. I told him that what if you don't come back? He said, he will be back and he does like a bad review of the company.
Please be careful with a lot scammers are going around.
