Great service, very professional

Really professional service and friendly people.

Very happy with the service received by this company. Agreed reasonable price for 2 people to collect a bed from one location and deliver to another location. Although they were late in collection, they kept us informed all the time, so no surprises. Mahendra was very polite and accommodating. All in all I would use them again.

We booked 3 men and a Luton van to help us move boxes and some furniture from a three bedroom flat on the first floor to our new home 30mins away (ground floor drop off). We were quoted £300: £75 for the first man with the van per hour, plus an extra £10 for each extra helper per hour. There was also an extra charge of £15 for the stairs. The price seemed fair and we booked the extra help because my partner and I wanted to reserve our energy for the unpacking.

However, the driver and the van showed up over 15mins late for the start time, promising me the two helpers would be joining shortly. Seeing as the overtime charge was significant, my partner and I hustled and got stuck in taking the boxes up and down stairs while the man with the van (Nari I think it was) did a good job of furniture Tetris. Frustratingly, Nari had bought a large washing machine with him in the van, which took up significant space. When we pointed this out, he promised if we filled the van he would take it out and come back for it, but ultimately he just covered it up. We had a few boxes left that we had to arrange for a later journey that we could have put in the van if he hadn’t brought the washing machine… or just kept to his word.

50 minutes in, his two helpers had still not shown up. All the while he regularly fielded calls from people we assume was them. We kept asking where they were and he eventually stated they had gone to the wrong address and wouldn’t be able to meet us to load the van in time, so would meet us at the drop off to help us unload. He offered to take the cost of the extra workers off the main price, which I said was the least he could do. I pointed out that if we ran over, we would be paying the full cost of him, his van and the two extra workers, but we would have been less likely to go over time if they had shown up in the first place. He got defensive and asked us what we wanted to do, so I said let’s just keep going and stop wasting time. I was stressed, physically exhausted and unwilling to spend expensive time negotiating with him.
We managed to get the van loaded and to our new home only 15mins late (my partner and I were exhausted). Nari offered me a bottle of water from Costco and was friendly on the drive over. He shared with me some of the racist experiences he has gone through and I felt sorry for him.
When we arrived the two extra guys helped unload the van and we finished just on time. In the end Nari asked for £70 x2 for two hours with him and the van, plus £10 x2 for the two workers that showed up for the last 45 minutes. He waived the £15 fee for the stairs as we had done the majority of the actual moving up and down the stairs. With hindsight I wish I had asked to pay the full amount and gotten the two workers to stay two extra hours to help move the furniture around the house. But I was knackered at this point and unwilling to argue with three men when it was just me alone.

Overall, on their part, this was a disaster. Our friend who works in deliveries says it’s a classic man with a van move to book multiple moves in one day and when a move is running over to tell the next customers that the workers still finishing off the last job are actually just lost/went to the wrong address. Knowing we were available to help with the move and knowing overtime pays more in many instances, it works out better for him. I don’t know if that’s true here, but he didn’t seem that annoyed with his colleagues when they arrived and his explanation for why it happened seems beyond incompetent (the two workers went to a cancelled delivery’s address at a different time slot to the one we had booked).
Never hiring these guys again. The least they could have done is offer us a proper discount for what they put us through. This move has been physically draining when we really wanted to make it as painless as possible. 100% would not recommend.

This is the second time I've used Alfi Removals to move house. I'll use them the next time as well.

Professional, friendly, hard workers!

The two men who came to move the contents of our two-bed flat were helpful, efficient and incredible at van-tetris! We were sold a Luton Van however a transit van turned up which meant there was less space available. Had we not had our own car for some of the overflow, it would have taken an extra trip.

The removalists were able to pack everything, drive and unpack well within the time I requested. Very happy with their service

The company were able to accommodate a last minute request to help me move flats with a reasonable quote. Their driver (Mahendra) was extremely helpful and helped me move my items without any hassle. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

So this company seems to be parking a van on my road on the pavement, blocking it and the driver does not seem to live here. Just watched him park the van and get into a car and drive off.

We booked this company for a house move on 14/06/2025. We had a few large pieces of furniture (electric piano, coffee table, side board and tv unit) along with boxes.

Firstly, the movers arrived an hour late to the move. When they arrived they were polite and friendly. However, by the time the furniture arrived at the new place it was clear that every piece was damaged. The piano lid had been broken, and each of the other pieces of furniture had large scratches/gouges in them seemingly caused by pieces moving around in the 30 minute drive between places.

When I contacted the company to explain what had happened, I was told that because I had no taken detailed photographs of the furniture before moving it, it was my own fault. They then stopped replying to my emails completely.

I would honestly advise against using this company completely - if you do use them please make sure you take very detailed photographs of all items being moved.

I have already recommended them to friends! They were able to fit me in with a couple of days notice. Professional and polite. Arrived early and started early. Worked fast. However, I ordered a Luton van and they arrived with a large van. This meant extra trips and extra time but they made up for it by charging me less. I have since used them again within a couple of days and will do one more time during this weekend. Reasonably priced as well. Thanks Alfi Removals.

Update - I have used Alfi Removals twice since my first experience, both within a week and at very last minute…10/10 for service and professionalism. So glad I came across them on Google search and their Trust Pilot reviews! Thanks again Alfi Removals.
