In Stock Ready to Ship - NOT TRUE

The chair that was "in stock ready to ship" was cancelled after I waited 60 days for it. They said they can't get the chair but it's still listed on their web site. I do wonder if my order was cancelled because I got it on sale? The whole experience is terribly disappointing.

Product quality was great and once the product shipped the 3rd party shipping was fabulous. The Alchemy customer service was less than desirable. Product was to take 2-3 weeks to ship it said. No updates ever. I reached out 4 times. No response. Finally I reached someone by phone on try 5. They said that product was supposed to ship in another week. Another week went buy it was delayed because there was no carrier available. I asked for an update. No response again. Finally carrier picked up delivery and they were great. Updating every day even. If you order from here don’t expect any call backs or updates

Great Service, Great Pieces

The customer service team at Alchemy really went above and beyond for me and my millions of questions, I commend their patience! We received a beautiful sofa and coffee table that are very high quality, definitely luxury craftsmanship. Will be purchasing more soon!

Ready to Ship but not in US..long wait

They sell and advertise items that say they are available and ready to ship but from where? I waited almost two months for two of the three items I ordered. I’m still waiting on the third item. The two items I received came from another country..so sure it’s ready to ship from another country but that takes time and their site is not very clear and transparent about that.
That being said the quality of their items is good. It’s the second time I’ve ordered from them. First order was just as slow.
They take 100 percent of your payment when you order with no clear or even estimated time about shipment
They do send a silly email about a week after your order saying something like I’m working hard to perfect your order etc etc
Again once I receive my items I’m happy but the wait time is long and could negate disputing a credit charge if you never receive your item

Alchemy Cannot Be Trusted!

Here are the facts: I ordered a $1400 chair from Alchemy Fine Home on March 20th, 2024. On the website in green lettering, it read, IN STOCK. I immediately received an order confirmation email. On March 28th (one week in), I kindly wrote their customer service to follow up and see how things were coming, as I had received no updates/notifications. Alchemy responded the same day- “Chris from the warehouse here with a quick email to say we’re prepping your order at the moment. (Nice choice by the way!).” Ok, sounds good, so I wait again. On April 4th (two weeks in now), I was sent an email from Alchemy saying- “When checking over your order one of the team found a small problem, so we’re just getting that resolved before we can package everything up and hand it over to the freight company.” Ok, I’m a little frustrated but I respect the attention to detail and I wait again. On April 10th (three weeks in now), I’ve heard nothing more so I email Alchemy Customer Service for an update. They email me back the same day- “We’re sorry for the confusion and any inconvenience this may have caused. The email that was sent to you about quality control check was sent in error. The supplier notified us that the chair is back ordered until late May.” I’m pretty upset at this point and respond with an email requesting a refund. The next day, April 11th, they send an email order cancellation- “This is a confirmation that your order has now been canceled. Please note that order refunds where applicable will take 7-10 business days to process back to the original form of payment.” Ok, so I wait 10 business days and no refund. I am writing this April 25th, the 10th business day, I emailed them again today and this is their response- “This is a confirmation that we have now processed your refund. The funds will appear in your bank/credit card statement 3-5 business days.” So now I wait again! Hoping once again that Alchemy doesn’t make up an excuse or dodge doing what’s right. Warning!! This business is as shady as they come! I just wish I had never ordered from them in the first place.

Don’t order any furniture from this…

Don’t order any furniture from this company. I paid over $2,000 for a chair that I had wanted for quite a while. It’s been 5 months and the company still has yet to send the item to me. They charged me 5 months ago yet have not delivered in their end. I’ve contacted them numerous times since the get lack any communication to their customers on order status that’s been sitting for months. Each time it’s the same response - they just give me the excuse their still waiting for their manufacturer. I am appalled by this “luxury “ furniture company. The founder should really take a better look at their customer service.

SCAM!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

Ordered from Alchemy Fine Home and they never shipped my order. Tried to contact customer service several times with no response. Finally, after three months of waiting, I posted a review on Trustpilot and only then did I get a reply from Alchemy Home. I didn’t appreciate their insistence that I wasn’t in their database and had to provide them with numerous screenshots to prove I did, indeed, have an order and that, yes, I had been trying to contact them. Companies often deny that reviewers are real customers to save face and I don’t appreciate such an underhanded tactic.

To top off the whole experience, when they finally promised to refund my order, they simply didn't. The $400 owed to me hovered in my account as 'pending' until paypal finally canceled the refund all together due to inaction from Alchemy. So, one star. This company is a scam. Do not buy from them.

Edit: They finally did send the money, but ensured that the cost of the transfer fell to me, the buyer, and not their company. So, no, I never did get a full refund, but I did get most of my money back. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare that's lasted nearly half a year. I will not be changing my review. They definitely deserve NO STARS for their shadiness, underhanded tactics and inability to do what every other reputable business is able to in one week or less. I should be grateful for the partial refund, I guess.

I order 3 items on separate occasions

I order 3 items on separate occasions. I did not receive any of my orders. I understand that there maybe wait times and waited for over 3 months. The ETA was pushed twice and yet still nothing. Multiple emails and phone calls later I decided to cancel my orders. I understand that items ship from multiple vendors and that they may delay the item but after 3 months of waiting for small items not even furniture this is ridiculous. Shop elsewhere!!! Most websites have the same items and they ship much quicker.

I purchased and floor mirror in November and shipping dates kept getting delayed and pushed back until I finally received a text saying it shipped all for them to call me saying it was a mistake and that my mirror was “OUT OF STOCK” and wouldn’t be available until late June… absolute terrible shopping experience

Even when we do our best to show accurate inventory sometimes accidents happen, product gets damaged and then we have to wait for the next shipments to arrive which it was in this case. Mirrors are fragile and delicate to ship and when a shipment is damaged that causes a big delay. We hope we can have another chance to show our dedication to providing a better experience.

Advertised shipping is a SCAM!

This is by far the worst furniture company I’ve ever ordered from. I put in an order for one dining chair on 1/15/24 & then sent an email on 1/29/24 requesting to cancel due to their significant delays in shipping (in stock & ready to ship is extremely deceiving & almost false advertising). As on 2/5/24, I have not received the chair nor a response from Alchemy! At this point, I will just need to request a charge back due to the lack of response.

Stay away from this business - I wish I did

I’ve placed a purchase for a set of Napkin Rings on January 4th, I shop a lot online and receive an update for most of my purchases with a day or two.
Days went by and finally on January 9th, I decided to ask for an update about my order given I have never received one.
I was then informed that the item I ordered was out of stock, so I asked for a refund and requested the purchase to be cancelled.
The person who assisted me by text explained the details telling ME to cancel, when not only that’s their job, but they didn’t even bother to check the item was no longer in stock (If I didn’t text them, I would probably still be waiting).
They then told me that the reason they were telling me to cancel was because “they wanted to provide me with the optiom to choose an alternative item” (no thanks, and even then, it would be up to me). I respectfully declined and told them to proceed with my refund. I was told they would take 10 business days and somehow I had a feeling that wasn’t going to be the case.
It’s now the 9th business day and no sign of my refund whatsoever. The charge still show as pending in my bank account showing they clearly couldn’t care less about the clients or your money. I don’t even know why they are in business given their service is horrible in every single department.
So please stay away from this place.
I am taking legal action if I don’t receive my money back asap.

The agent told you we were notified that the item was discontinued and asked if you'd be interested in looking for a replacement item. You asked how long a refund takes to process but didn't decline a replacement item or say you wanted to cancel so she was unclear. You never replied saying 'yes please cancel', so a refund wasn't processed. We are working to train our agents to be more proactive in the future and be clearer, we apologize for your experience.
