Seemed helpful enough when they wanted information from me, forms filled out etc. When it came to the other way around I had to constantly chase updates and progress. Funnily enough when I done that they responded immediately. If you can’t be arsed doing your job in the first place then don’t.

A really great experience and service. Josh was my RM and he was really fantastic. Managed to get the warranty within a very tight timeline and made sure everything was understood. Thank you so much Josh!

We had a mixed development comprising of 28 units. Throughout the process the team at ACHI (who issued our our building insurance warranty) were exceptionally professional. Everyone at ACHI had the highest competence levels and were helpful throughout the build process to issuing the final warranty. I was especially impressed as the warranty was issued within 48hours of ACHI receiving the final certificate from building control. Their response times to our emails queries and questions were also received within hours. We received very high levels of client service. Well done and many thanks ACHI.

I write another review to say thanks for my latest experience with Steven and the Advantage team who again have been fabulous from start to finish, professional , knowledgeable and streamlined service, any builds i am involved with that requires LDI , i would have no need to look or shop around - thanks again

Dealt with Josh Cardwell on a recent 8 unit scheme - very responsive and helpful at all times. Got final warranty certificates issued very promptly after BC finals landed.

I have been working with Andi Pilana, i believe he’s been absolutely brilliant forthcoming and worked exceptionally hard! I would truly recommend him at Advantage.

We have recently completed a development of 36 new build properties and Danny Brookes was assigned as our point of contact. From our initial meeting to the completion of the development Danny has been extremely professional and competent in what he does. Danny is highly customer driven and ensures that he delivers an excellent service with nothing being too much trouble. It was a challenging development but Danny ensured he was available for advice and guidance when needed and ensured we met our target of completing the properties within a set timescale. Danny has vast knowledge and experience in the development sector and I would highly recommend him to anyone that wants a professional and efficient service. Danny is a great asset to Advantage and is fully dedicated and committed to his job. I am sure Danny will accelerate further in his career and we wish him luck for the future. Thank you for all your hard work over the last 18 months, a true team player !

This warranty company has been no help whatsoever. Our new build developers have been ignoring us for 8 months now so we went through the correct channels, raised a complaint with the warranty company yet all the could do was send a chaser email on our behalf which nothing has come of this.Unsure why advantage are continuing to work with these developers when they are fully aware how terrible they are. I have wasted 4 months trying to get my issue resolved to be just be told they can’t do anything or that I would have to pay £1000 excess per claim yet the developer is liable. Some banks will also refuse a mortgage because they dont want to work with this warranty company. Once they have the money from you they will not help you with any claims. Use a better known one if you can.

Dealing with James was very seamless he was very efficient and delivered on every commitment he made. Furthermore he went above and beyond to be able to satisfy our needs.

I got my structural warranty from this company and I have been very happy with the process overall, the final certificate was provided within 24h once all paper and survey had been done! Chris was very helpful and I keep in touch with him all the time i have some questions regarding different projects, he gives his honest opinion and acts very fast, He understands the urgency of our matter and he was there for us all the time​! Definelty will use it again in the future and I can recommend it with no hesitation !

We first had dealings with advantage in 2023 all relevant paperwork was sent over by building control and via email by ourselves. correspondence was made and told that certificates would be issued they had all the relevant information. We never receive the certificates, whilst at the end of remortgaging relevant documents needed to be provided to which I chased advantage that we had never received them despite being paid in 2023. Steve the rep was spoken to on the 12th of April for the documents to be sent over to which we kept being told it’s with the technical team off that the technical team were looking into it. somewhat 3 weeks later we still hadn’t received a certificate as it was never issued to find out that we now needed a new survey. Advantage then wanted us to pay for the survey although it was their mistake two years prior not putting this through 90 days from sign of. it then took another day for advantage to agree we wouldn’t have to pay for the new survey. Surveyor came out the next day and we were told that the certificates would be issued on Tuesday after the bank holiday. We then had a message to say the electrical certificate wasn’t in the pack And this was holding up, although this was never flagged by the technical team a few weeks ago and had also been sent over in 2023. now four weeks down the line we still do not have a certificate and at risk of a house being repossessed. There’s been some form of breakdown of communication within an advantage yet nobody is willing to take responsibility and have this issue rectified as soon as possible after stressing how important it was we had this document almost 4 weeks ago it’s now 08/04/25 This is an extremely stressful situation and we are yet to receive the certificate from the insurer or advantage. avoid this company

Huge increase in insurance quotes by 85% since Jan 2025, rip off.

We received excellent customer service during this process. Josh went above and beyond to keep us informed at each stage and got everything over the line.

We have been waiting for 3 months to secure our warranty certificate with this organisation and faced months of being ignored, bounced around various departments and unimaginable stress. The inspections were completed in October 2024 and in January 2025, we are still waiting.

After seeing a complaint email on another review, I tried to complain and that email address didn't work, which sums up our whole experience with them.

Save yourself a lot of stress and waiting, and use another warranty provider.

The developer was just as frustrated over their experience with this organisation and expressed on multiple occasions how he will not be using them again. He was also ignored, had to relentless chase to see progress and regardless, this process took 3 months when it should have taken a maximum a couple of weeks.

As the future owner of the home with this policy, I dread the day I ever have to file a claim.

Joe Dreary at Advantage was a great help as I navigated the minefield, which is structural insurance on a self-build. I would have given up without him!

I have mixed feelings about Advantage Home Construction Insurance. On the positive side, they have competitive pricing, and the support from Michele Mauchel and inspectors like Danny Brookes is commendable. However, I faced significant delays in getting the policy issued, affecting my property sale. Additionally, there were struggles with refunds, although I eventually received mine after legal threats. Overall, it's a reliable choice if you get everything in writing and manage expectations.

I have used Advantage for many years/projects, always competitive on price, the service I receive from my office contact Michele Mauchel - Regional Sales Manager is always prompt and willing to help with every situation. The inspectors especially Danny Brookes has been excellent, he has been very helpful through out and always returns a call.

Be very careful with this company, very quick to invoice but when it comes to issuing the policy - RADIO SILENT. promises of call backs constantly and now months on I’m left without a policy and a property I can’t sell.
Very poor service.
