African Safari Consultants helped us create amazing memories in South Africa. This has been a trip many years in the making and Camille and her team went above and beyond to create a seamless, luxurious and adventurous experience that was also suited to a family with young kids!
They guided us towards two amazing Safari lodges where the accommodations, staff, food and the animals at the Safari park were incredible. They also helped us plan fun itineraries in Cape Town and Johannesburg with accompanying great accommodations. We also always felt safe and taken care of. Camille was extremely responsive, both before the trip and during, to all my questions (big and small).
I 100 percent recommend these guys for an African Safari trip!

Great communication. Any problems were dealt with promptly. Accommodations were very good. Safari guide and vehicle were excellent. Lots of personal attention, and great animal sightings. Highly recommended.

We had a most extraordinary trip to Botswana! Camille and colleagues put together an itinerary that was flawless, from highlighting our interest in conservation, to the variety of experiences, to the seamless planning that made everything work without a hitch. This trip had gone through a few incarnations, given world events, and we are so grateful for the flexibility and patience of the team at African Safari Consultants.

Daisy put together a terrific 14 day Botswana, Cape Town, and Sabe Sand, South Africa trip for us. She spent time assessing our interests, budget, and selected accommodations and guided us perfectly.

The pre-trip planning materials were well organized, and the travel app was highly useful throughout the trip.

My family and I had a wonderful trip and experience on our African.safari . Ilze did a fantastic job arranging all of the inside flights and transfers making it so easy. Everything was organized well and went exactly as planned. We all loved the trip. About 9 years ago Ilze had planned a Safari for me and my friends. It was so great that I had Ilze plan this Safari and this time took my entire family. Again, everything went perfect. I’m sure I will return again thanks to you all and Ilze. .

Liesl and her company take such pride in giving her clients the best experience ever. She gets to know you and puts a holiday together that you will never forget. She pays such attention to detail and you are taken care of from the time you board the plane til the end of your vacation. She picked two fabulous safaris that meet our needs. The staff were spectacular and gave us a five star experience. She also picked our a private guide for us in Capetown . We felt extremely safe and enjoyed the beautiful culture and people of Capetown. I highly recommend this company. I would rate me experience 20/5.

From the first day, Ilze was wonderful. She kept in contact with us throughout the trip and made sure our experience was perfect. The accommodations she recommended were truly incredible and our trip couldn't have been more enjoyable. My wife and I misplaced our passports on a flight from Zimbabwe to Johannesburg, and she was able to track them down when the airline couldn't. She's nothing short of amazing.

Every aspect was top shelf. Having someone meet us as soon as we stepped off the plane and having folks guide us every step of the way was so comforting. The venues were spectacular and Antony our guide was special. Great guy.

When our travel friends had a bump in the road Ilze went beyond the call of duty to help them out. An 11 out of 10.

Give her A+

Just a great trip

From initial safari consultation to post tour follow-up, Camille gave us the perfect service. Everything went smoothly and punctually. We are satisfied 120%!!! I would recommend their service to anyone who want to enjoy safari!

Camille was very helpful in giving us options that worked for us and very responsive to our questions and we felt well taken care of. We were happy with the game reserve with very nice people and also all the transportation came on time and very reliable.

ASC is our go to for Africa trips. This is our second. Having not travel there enough to make our own informed decisions about many issues, we relied on Liesl and her team to make some critical choices about where we visited how we got there and where we stayed when we got there.

This trip to east Africa had many logistical challenges and opportunities for frustration. However, Liesl always seems to be one step ahead, and the whole trip was flawless.

Transfers, guides, accommodations, we’re all perfect, and as she described to us before we left the US. This experience was very similar to our earlier trip to South Africa.

I can’t imagine making a trip to Africa without the support of Liesl and her team. And we highly recommend them to you.

African Safari Consultants did an outstanding job helping us plan ( and reschedule twice due to Covid) and execute an amazing family vacation. Every detail was handled-flights, transfers, guide in Capetown, amazing accommodations- an unforgettable experience in every way! We loved both of our safaris. The camps were both gorgeous. The staff were all kind, caring and provided a first class stay. The guides and trackers made sure that we saw more animals than we could have imagined. Camille was the reason this trip was so wonderful. She suggested beautiful accommodations, and set up everything. She was also available to answer my endless questions about restaurants, what to pack, luggage requirements...everything. She helped us reschedule twice due to covid, always making it all seem easy and hassle free. I would highly recommend this company, Camille Rowe and our itinerary. Tengile River Lodge in Sabi Sands was absolutely amazing! Thank you all for a wonderful family vacation!

African Safari Consultants is by far the best company to go through for you safari experience. We were there for 10 days just before Christmas and stayed at 3 different camps and we can't say anything bad. We saw the big 5 within a day or two. The best way to explain a safari is you are in complete trust of these animals as they are in complete trust of you being there. If you allow yourself to see the beauty of this it can touch your soul. This is a top notch agency that knows what they are doing and I would go back to them again if I ever get another chance to go back to South Africa.

If you want to experience an amazing safari? Use African Safari Consultants. I have used them (Leisl) twice for south africa trips and will continue to go back. They work with you to build what YOU want to experience at a price point that meets your budget. That's who they are consultants - they don't push "their or the properties" agenda. Truly a pleasure to work with to make incredible memories! Thank you!

Experience counts and I’m sure it was Camille’s 40+ years of experience in African safaris that made our recent trip to Tanzania a smooth and very enjoyable experience. This was the fifth trip she had organised for us and certainly met our expectations. Eight days on safari in Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. Our guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Then four nights relaxing at the beautifully sited Zawadi hotel in Zanzibar. All our transfers were on time, even when flight times changed at short notice. Thanks again Camille!

Daisy was the most professional travel person we have ever worked with. We made changes to our itinerary and she took them in stride and grace. We look forward to traveling with Daisy in the future. Thank you.

It was an exceptionally wonderful trip. We enjoyed every moment and met so many wonderful people from staff to guides to transfers to fellow travelers. But the most humbling of them all are the animals who welcomed us and gave us a perspective we’ll never forget. The elephants were spectacular and especially generous in showing us their majestic ways.
Thank you for arranging such a great journey and, not sure you had anything to do with our upgrades, but that was icing on the cake! 😊 At Chobe Game Lodge our room was stunning and they even gifted us a bottle of champagne!
Throughout the entire process Camille was responsive, helpful and arranged a perfect itinerary!

As first-time visitors to South Africa as well as the safari experience, we were thrilled with the expertise and sensitivity African Safari Consultants (ASC) provided.
The advance details of our itinerary ensured there would be no surprises. Liesl was responsive to every concern we had.
Her selected sequence of game reserve locations allowed us to enjoy a breadth of sightings and experiences that allowed us to check every box on what we hoped to accomplish.
Weaving in a visit to Victoria Falls as an interlude from land-based travel to water-based provided a welcome change. Seeing a herd of elephants swimming in the Zambezi River during our sunset cruise from Livingstone was the highlight experience.

ASC handled every detail in seamless fashion. Airport transfers, local routes, lodge check-ins were all performed on time and delivered by professionals.

We recommend new clients consider ASC for their safari and South African adventures.

Liesl Matthews, over a period of 4 years and forced cancellations, made a lifetime dream come true. Every moment of our trip that she planned was perfection. My partner, Billy, and I had wanted to go on safari our whole lives and it was even better than we had ever thought possible. The Honeyguide Mantobeni was incredible with an amazing staff and incredible food. Laying in bed at night and listening to lions and hyenas at night was beyond description. Our guide, Michael, made sure we saw The Big 5 and added the African Painted Dog and Cheetah to make the Magnificent 7. His Ferrari Safari had us flying from our seats. We did a bush walk with the wonderful Nathan who made us feel very safe and comfortable. Four days in Capetown, planned by Liesl with a driver who knew the history of Capetown and its surrounds was a true joy. We loved the beautiful town of Hermanus where we watched whales from the beach and went to Boulders Beach and Betty's Bay to view the most amazing South African Penguin show. I would recommend Liesl and African Safari Consultants to anyone wanting to make their dreams come true.
