We at Adventure & Fun Albania design authentic journeys combining different outdoor activities with transformational travel experiences. We believe that travel is about the people we meet along the way. It is not a race and we stop along the way to explore the best that the destination has to offer: its spirit. We guide our guests to travel deeper, to engage in real life experiences, to participate. Our journeys accompany the guests through a transformative path: to engage in something new, to grow in another dimension, to become more socially and environmentally conscious. We chose to be responsible while traveling, respecting and bringing benefit to the communities that we visit, their cultures and the environment. We use local suppliers, stay in locally run family-owned accommodations, eat at local restaurants, and more than 90% of the food served during our trips is sourced locally. We believe that the sustainable tourism is the best chance our country has to regenerate its nature and heritage, and to undo the many years of environmental damage that were caused by the unfortunate economic and political realities of our past. At Adventure & Fun Albania, since the beginning of our activity, we have chosen to be a responsible business. We are committed to make a difference – to invest in local communities. For many years we have supported the locals of some remote villages of southeastern Albania in their efforts to turn their villages into travel destinations. We have organized trainings for the potential suppliers, financed the local guide’s qualification, developed maps and information about the main attractions and walking trails in the area. Adventure & Fun Albania has declared a climate emergency, has signed the Adventure Travel Trade Association’s Climate Action Pledge and are strongly engaged to reduce the carbon impact of our activity. We have joined the initiative of ATTA (Adventure Travel Trade Association) for the elimination of single use plastic, and are working hard to accomplish this goal. We inform our guests pre-trip on the plastics issue, encourage them to bring reusable bottles on their trips and provide water to refill the bottles, where it is safe to do so. We have a zero-waste policy at our office in Tirana. We organize small group as well as bespoke tours. Our journeys take you on unbeaten paths: The entire Western Balkan region and especially Albania is still to be discovered. Our trip designers try every path and trail in search of the best kept secrets and of the most authentic experiences. We live everywhere we travel: We don´t spend the entire day only on outdoor activities and make sure you take a journey into the real life of our local friends. We make sure your trip becomes an immersion into the culinary traditions of the places you visit: Albania and the Western Balkans has a lot to discover and we make even the most hidden culinary treasures, reachable. We take care of absolutely everything. Just have fun. Travelling in small groups, makes the fulfilment of your needs possible. We have a schedule for each day, but we are flexible and changes are possible on request. You don´t need to worry about your dietary restrictions: we will meet them. You can go as fast or slow as you want. Keep your own pace. Are you tired or just don´t like to participate? In most of the cases we can book another activity for you. If you want only to sit and enjoy your coffee, it´s Ok. You are not here to participate in a race. Our guides will make your journey enjoyable. They are athletes and nature lovers, are open, flexible and interesting. They have deep knowledge of the land and people. They are themselves travellers.
