This system is NOT meant for a GC or any type of Construction accounting. It is terrible but was sold as it can be used for anything. Once we went live in this horrific system, the people who had almost lived at our office for a year, just magically went away. Wish we could go back to our old system.

We’ve had a very positive experience with Acumatica. It’s a powerful system with a lot of capabilities, but it’s still relatively easy for users to navigate and learn. One of the biggest benefits for us has been the flexibility of the system and the ability to integrate with other platforms and adapt it to our business processes.

The reporting capabilities are also a major strength. There are a lot of options for getting information out of the system, customizing reports, and having better visibility into the financial and operational side of the business.

Like any ERP system, there is a learning curve and getting the setup right is important, but overall Acumatica has given us much more flexibility and functionality as our business has grown.

Having worked as both an hvac technician and project manager, this program is terrible for a service tech. Simple things like what is the site address involves multiple steps. Equipment inventory and work history is nonexistant. Clunky and bloated to say the least.

I’m the lead developer on an Acumatica implementation serving 1,500+ users across 13 companies in a single tenant, so this review is from the technical side.

The good: the platform is genuinely extensible. Graph extensions, BQL and the customization framework let us build almost anything we need, from custom modules to third-party integrations over the REST API. Generic Inquiries are powerful, and once they’re tuned properly they give users solid reporting without a developer for every request.

The not-so-good: multi-company setups take a lot of extra work. Keeping CRM data separate between companies in one tenant isn’t available out of the box, and the security model (user types, roles, restriction groups, branch access) has so many layers that we’re redesigning ours from scratch. On our multi-node setup we’ve hit intermittent errors on one node that only clear after an application restart, which has meant repeated support cases. The Modern UI migration is a screen-by-screen job for a heavily customized site, and smaller quirks, like GI functions returning unexpected data types, add up.

It’s a strong foundation if you have in-house development capacity, but expect to invest heavily to make it fit a complex organization.

Acumatica is a great ERP. It has a lot of automation capabilities, Has a very easy to navigate UI, and has helped our team keep up with our workload as we've had retirements and people move on, without having to hire replacements. We have been enabled by Acumatica to do things much more efficiently than our previous ERP. I highly recommend considering Acumatica for your next ERP!

Using Acumatica has been such an improvement from what we used bore. Even when I am having issues, the support is quick to respond and help me out.

Acumatica ERP has become one of the best business decisions the company I work for has made. We used to rely on the AS400 MS-Dos system, which was fine. I grew up using it and so it's familiar. But upgrading to Acumatica was like upgrading from a landline to a smart phone. Acumatica connects as the point of truth for everything from brick and mortar retail locations with ACUPOS to centralized warehousing. With a few connections of your choice, you can add in programs you may already be using like shipping or E-commerce. Real-time visibility across all locations has reduced stockouts by roughly 70% creating a more accurate account of our inventory. Financially month-end closing dropped from 10 days to 3-4 days. As a user, Acumatica does have some customizable screens, to where certain users in the company can only access screens they need, keeping the IT staff to work on other projects instead of networking the entire company through terminals and servers. This makes it easy for anyone to implement and as a user you can create your own dashboard favorites to access everyday screens faster. All in all this is one of the best cloud based ERP implementations I have had the pleasure of being on the team to implement. I have been on 3 and this one was by far the easiest.

Very difficult getting support for custom reports.

Integration with Outlook requires manual addition of every email. Now it appears that making the connection has failures that make linking the Acumatica with Outlook periodically not possbile and the manual copying of emails into the ACTIVITES is hugely inconvenient.

ACUMATICA runs 3rd party support, so ACUMATICA avoids the brunt of the complaints as their 3rd party support entities buffer what the customers think from ACUMATICA, hence my hoping that they watch this site.

Also the recent update has created time lags, where just opening the ACUMATICA program and then trying to find a business by name in the BUSINESS ACCOUNT list can take 30+ seconds, these time delays are counter intuitive with the speed of savings.

Also the OPPORTUNITIES is pretty Robust and many of the robust features are missing from Projects??? No CONTACTS, CONTACT DATA, TASKS LINKED TO TOP OF ACTIVIES all key features in OPPORTUNITIES mode are missing when you are in PROJECTS.

i hope ACU sees this.

The software is overpriced, far from user friendly and every process is needlessly long winded. Avoid at all costs. Possibly developed in the 1980's and never updated for the 2020's.

Would fully agree with Yuval, overpromised underdelivered and generally a nightmare.

Acumatica uses a network of Value Added Resellers (VAR) to sell their software. The resellers create templates for their niche market and try to sell the software as a ready made solution. All of that without actually learning about the workflow of their clients. That's what happened in our experience.

The resellers themselves, beside being nice and knowledgeable about the software, provide no added value whatsoever.

Acumatica is marketed as an advance and well built software, with a high price tag. In reality it's very poorly designed - appalling UX/UI and no attention to details, extremely overprices, bloated to the max, and built to make it as hard as possible to make changes on your own (you basically need to learn a LOT and spend hours in order to make simple changes).

It essentially looks like it was initially developed by a bunch of mid level programmers with zero design skills to fulfill a specific company's need, and from there it grew to the terrible software that it is today.

Beware! Recruiting and HR team have no idea what they’re doing and will cut you loose without warning for little to no reason. Recruiting Manager, Sonia sent me an offer and I accepted. She then asked for references but gave no timeline as to when they were needed. I provided the references 5 days before my start date, which apparently wasn’t soon enough for her comfort. She contacted me and immediately began threatened to retract my offer. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what was wrong because all previous interactions with her were great. But don’t let that kindness fool you! She will pull the rug out from under you quick and without warning! On the call, she stated that I had until noon the next business day to provide the requested information. She kept referring to a “legal document”, no idea what she was talking about, but I don’t think she did either. About 2 hours later she emailed me, without warning, and pulled the offer with an explanation that I failed to meet the reference check requirements outlined in the offer letter. The same references she had just told me that I had until the next day to provide. So in short, stay far away from this company and if you are fooled into working for them, definitely don’t resign from your current position until you actually start. Oh, and apparently HR is run like it’s the 1980’s so just get your friends to pretend to be your references. Apparently as long a human talks to them and tells them good stories about you, you’re golden.
