We recently stayed at La Savane with Acorn Adventure Camping and had a fantastic time. The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. It was a brilliant trip with a lovely atmosphere, and we'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great camping holiday. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Been travelling with Acorn for 30 years. The Ardeche site is just a fantastic set-up. Using local instructors and facilities, Acorn offer an absolutely outstanding trip for pupils; an unforgettable leavers' trip! The site is clean and has a great little bar & swimming pool set up, along with some on-site activities, such as climbing, high ropes, Mission Impossible, combat archery etc. The river descent is the absolute highlight of the trip and Acorn run this very smoothly. All the food, including upon the descent, is excellent and has improved year on year. All contact with Head Office smooth and efficient - all Acorn staff are excellent to deal with

What a great trip - again ! - with ACORN adventure in the Ardeche. The organisation is first class, the delivery is spotless, and the memories created in such a great camping site, are wonderful both for staff and children. The company has created the right balance between levels of challenge/safety during activities, welcome/comfort at 'base camp', and expectations for cleanliness of the site and washing up after meals.

Acorn were first class in answering all questions quickly and accurately the whole process was smooth and easy, the staff were great nothing too much trouble. Our only minor issue were coach timings slightly out but this was caused trying to avoid black Saturday in France, which Acorn dealt with the issue but could have allowed a few more hours.

Excellent experience with Acorn Adventure for our 50 strong Cub, Scout & Explorer Group. Easy booking process and effective communication throughout. The result was a challenging, rewarding and beautiful week long stay in the Ardechè. Good facilities onsite including tents, food was varied and well prepared and the team on-site were excellent. Coach travel was excellent too. Excellent location and lifelong memories made for all.

We have been travelling with Acorn Adventure since 2001. Our first centre being Normandy, France, and then we discovered Cala Canyelles, Spain. Unfortunately, Acorn no longer promote this centre as they bought their own Spanish centre higher up the mountain. This is a shame although we still request this centre for its isolation, variety of activities and great facilities for accommodation and free time options. The centre never disappoint with the improvements each year, although still no WiFi for the children; not a criticism, anything to get them off their devices!
The UK office staff are helpful, patient and understanding with our needs, although we don’t receive discount for continued bookings over the years. You receive regular communication and reminder of your booking with information added as you get closer to departure. Nothing is too much for them as you request more details or ask them to answer any questions you may have. Follow up communication is also received after the trip.
We have only experienced concern with one coach company over the years. The others have been professional, friendly, understanding with the children and quality vehicles.

The cabins have no air conditioning, the activities are alright.. pool party absolutely sucks. The mirror is mouldy and there is a hornet nest in the table. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I have been on 3 Acorn Adventure trips to the Ardeche and it has been brilliant every time. Staff are great and activities are brilliant. Children enjoyed every single moment!

Our Form VIII residential week in Bude with Acorn Adventure was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, the experience was brilliantly organised, fun-packed and full of adventure. The staff were exceptional—enthusiastic, supportive and great with the children, creating a safe and exciting environment for everyone. We loved the range of activities: surfing, Body boarding and paddle boarding all set against the stunning Cornish coastline. The accommodation was comfortable, the food hearty and satisfying and the camaraderie unbeatable. It was the perfect mix of adventure, learning and fun. We’ve made lifelong memories and can’t wait to return next year. Acorn Adventure truly delivered an outstanding week!

Acorn were so helpful and supportive! They took the stress away from arranging the activities, they were very organised and were quick to answer any questions/ queries we had. An Acorn team member welcomed us to the site and were very supportive throughout the week we were in the Dolomites. The year 8/9 students loved the activities and are still talking about their experience weeks later. I would 100% use them for another European Adventure.

Acorn were fantastic from start to finish, from booking the trip to support when we were on it. The information we received during the planning was excellent and they were always quick to respond to any questions we had. The trip itself to Dordogne was amazing and the students had the most fantastic experience taking part in a brilliant range of activities. I would highly recommend using Acorn Adventure and we are already booking our next trip.
