I cannot thank everyone that has helped my mother with her legs, enough. When she arrived at this clinic she was in a bad way with open wounds and infections on her legs due to her lympedema. My mother was scared, stubborn & saw no future where she be comfortable. I can honestly say this clinics changed her life. My mum met a lovely lady called kaye, who stuck through the hardest of times at her appointments, and gave my mum the care she needed. My mum, Annmarie white is now after months of her hard work, infection and open sores free. We know that this may happen again, but this time she isn’t scared, instead she has found a light that was lost for ages and we owe it all to kaye. Thank you to the other members of the team that helped my mother along the way, including Nico, Gabrielle & Jane. A further huge huge thank you to the reception ladies that always welcomed her with ease. You don’t know how much that means to a 69 year old scared lady, and her only daughter, Tara. God bless you all.

These guys are amazing, after 30 years of battling with GP who have no experience of lympodema or lipeodema they gave me hope. After my first appointment, I was confirmed as having Lipeodema, lymphodema and hypermobile. They did not realise what a relief it was to here "oh yes your legs and arms are very advanced" when all I have heard is lose weight .. even when I didn't need to lose weight that was there words. All I can say is Thankyou and Thankyou again. Fantastic friendly team who explain everything so well. 😇🙏

Well as a person who had been recently in and out of hospital, clinics etc this was the first time I felt that I have been talking to professionals people who know about my health issues and who took time to go through my health situation and here I refer to Kay and Julie.

It's a shame that Accelerate are not part of the NHS though they do work with the NHS

Anna was so professional, thorough and helpful. The whole experience was so positive and I felt very valued as a patient. I wasn’t rushed, Anna answered any questions I had and put me at ease as soon as I walked through the door. I felt heard and seen for the first time ever regarding my lipoedema. I can’t wait to start wearing the compression garments and I have high hopes that they will help. I honestly cannot thank Anna enough. I wish more healthcare professionals were like this!!!

I was very impressed by the way I was treated at Accelerate today. I was listened to and my lymphodema taken seriously- it has been 5 years since my treatment and this is the first time I have seen an NHS consultant We covered a lot of ground including correct compression garments to wear, self massaging to reduce build up of lymph fluid and an explanation of my particular condition. I feel confident that I’m in good hands and now have a chance of controlling this condition to prevent a build up of future problems.

Had my first appointment for Lymphodema today after a referral from my local hospital, it was with Anna and a team member. Honestly it was the most professional, knowledgeable and kindest appointment i have ever had and i have been to a tonne of appointments! Thank you so much Anna & your team for the most amazing service received.

My experience at the lymphoedema clinic was very useful. The two professionals I saw, Mel and Natalie, treated me with respect and compassion. Their exploration of my condition was thorough and sensitive, and the treatments they proposed were helpful. All in all I felt listen to and cared for by the staff.

The clinician who treated me at Accelerate (Julie) in Hackney was highly professional, caring, very well-informed and very respectful in her treatment of my lymphoedema and her explanation of how to treat and care for my condition. The clinician was lovely and very professional. My appointment was very thorough and covered everything from measuring up for tailored compression socks to skincare to assessing my gait. I now have the socks and they fit perfectly. The comfiwave socks I have for night time really help stop the oedema recurring and they have actually led to better sleep as I no longer worry about my wife’s movements bashing and damaging my weak skin. My lower legs, ankles and feet are now almost back to normal size and feel so much better. This treatment is AMAZING! Thank you so much.

I was seen on time by Julie Chutter. She is very thorough and well experienced. She explained the process and procedure clearly. Took me through the process and answer all concerns. She spent quality time with me and by the time I finished, I have a clear understanding of what could have caused my swollen feet and suggested solutions. Thanks for her professionalism and caring attitude.

I attended the Accelerate clinic as a private patient. Anna was very patient and answered all my questions about lipoedema and treatment options. At no point did I feel that the appointment was rushed despite it running a little over time.

I am genuinely so thankful for the nurse I saw at this clinic, i finally got the diagnosis for something i have been suffering with for years, and getting that clarity meant so much to me and that it wasn't just in my head. She spent her time and went through things with me so patiently. I left the clinic feeling so heard and seen which is not always the case in NHS, thank you so much for providing so much support upon our first meet.

I was very warmly welcomed and made feel very at easy, was treated with great dignity.
everything was explain very clear.
the place is meticulously clean.
I felt they care about me, they called few time to ensure all is in good order and the garment fit me well and do the job.
I been suffering from swollen leg for few years specially during the flights, recently I suffered from a sever cellulitis and for three month I could not ware any shoes since my leg was extremely swollen.
thanks for Accelerate (which in beginning I didn't want to hear about a compress socks will do the job!), after 3 days of wearing I started wearing my shoes and now after just 2 month my leg is back to normal.
My private doctor only suggestion was to take medication to treat the water condition which I was not in favour since it interferes with the organs and kidneys.
it was only by chance that i went to my GP and was seen by the paramedic for a chest infection, which he saw my legs and referred me to Accelerate, pity that my private doctor could not refer me few month earlier!
i have now experience other people who are suffering in silent , we should encourage the GPs to refer more people and get help natural rathe then to be stuffed with medication which does or doesn't help!

due to my height and weight I have compressed socks with a zip which is great and easy to wear,
I had an interesting experience were I was stop in security at London Heathrow airport since it was ringing through security and they did not have any information and never seen such socks!
now I can not do without!
I hope during the summer moths I will also be comfortable.

I had the pleasure and good fortune of seeking the advice and guidance from the amazing Caitriona. When I spoke to her I was desperate and completely at a loss. My brother was struggling with severely infected leg ulcers which were incredibly painful and we were getting nowhere with the GP. Caitriona went through everything with me and gave me excellent advice which really helped my brother. Thanks to her advice my brother is on antibiotics and getting the support he is entitled to and needs. Caitriona Did this out of the kindness of her heart. She went above and beyond to help me. I was blown away by how caring and empathetic Caitriona was to my predicament, she even went so far as to check in on me via a telephone call on numerous occasion s, something she didn’t have to do but left me feeling so grateful and supported. I cannot put into words how grateful I am but I would recommend the services of Caitriona and her colleagues to anyone. Thank you.

My mum received treatment for a leg ulcer from Nico, Kay, Kate and Gabriella. Each one of them was kind and caring. They reviewed mum's notes on each visit and pursued any outstanding referrals. They provided transport to collect and drop mum back which meant I didn't have to take time off and her journey was safe and comfortable. Mum had a language barrier and the nurses used to call me and email to update me on each visit. My mum praised each of them for the care they took in nursing her wound and the referrals for further tests to help her recovery and future health. I attended 3 appointments and highly recommend the care and support they offer it's what the NHS used to be like. They listened and explained every step of the treatment and recovery. I cannot express in words how much me and mum appreciate you all, and everything you did. Thank you to you all for your kindness.
