I advise anyone to stay far away from this company

.I had a terrible experience with Absolute Domestic. I hired them to clean my home, and they sent two very young cleaners, J and J, who were supposed to work for 5 hours. However, my electronic lock records show they were only present for 4 hours. Not only did they fail to complete the basic cleaning tasks, but for instance, they created a mess in the kitchen themselves and left it unclean! I had an important work meeting scheduled after they were supposed to finish, but due to their incompetence, I had to rush around to clean the house myself.

When I provided evidence to Absolute Domestic, they completely shirked their responsibility, claiming the cleaners were independent contractors. They charged me for 5 hours of work but only provided 4 hours of no service just presence! This is theft. Their lack of accountability is unacceptable. The countless emails and phone calls I made to resolve this issue were a complete waste of my time and energy. I advise anyone to stay far away from this company.

I should add my response to their comment here:
I appreciate you taking the time to respond, however, I am disappointed to see that you have continued to repeat false statements and misrepresentations despite the evidence I have provided here.
There are two screenshots of the door lock. The second one clearly shows that the last time the door was opened by the cleaners was at 2:17 PM! My arrival time is also clear, which was after 5 PM, and you can compare this time with the time I took the photos after entering the house.

Regarding their arrival time, I can also provide a screenshot of the door lock and their call to my mobile phone because when they arrived they didn't know how to get in and called me. I am ready to share more images and documents here.

There's no need to repeatedly lie about their arrival and departure times by denying what I told you in the phone call! Fortunately, I emailed you before the phone call, and now in the screenshot I've attached from my email, I've clearly mentioned their arrival and departure times.

There are no paint stains on the floor of my house, and what you see are garbage particles that I vacuumed after they left. The only things that are pre-existing! were a few full garbage cans, some rubbish on the floor, some dry leaves, and some stains on the kitchen and toilet surfaces, which is why I hired cleaners for 5 hours! However, neither of these two cleaners removed any of these.

This constant repetition of you saying that someone brought and dumped the garbage later and took a picture is a slander and can have legal consequences for you if you don't apologies. I have attached all my statements with evidence, including the time and date the photos were taken, my arrival time, and a screenshot of the text message I sent you when I got home and saw the situation.

What I'm saying is completely clear and supported by evidence.

After reviewing the situation and corresponding phone calls, we note that you previously mentioned the cleaners arrived at 12:10 PM and departed at 2:30 PM. This equates to 2 hours and 20 minutes per cleaner, totaling 4 hours and 40 minutes of man-hours worked, which is contrary to the most recent claim that they only cleaned for 4 hours, and the cleaner’s assurance that they arrived on time at 12:00 PM and completed the full 2 hours and 30 minutes of service, equaling 5 man-hours. We regret any confusion surrounding the exact duration and apologise for any misunderstanding.
The cleaners reported difficulties with the alfresco balconies due to footwear restrictions and the extensive scope required, which they communicated during the service – we are noting this, as one of the photos you have provided is of the area. Despite not completing the full list of tasks you requested; they did perform cleaning tasks during the 4 hours and 40 minutes they were at the property. It is not accurate to say that no service was provided.
The cleaners have also reported that certain issues, such as paint splatters, were pre-existing and beyond the scope of a standard cleaning service, requiring a deeper clean. Regarding the photos of the leaf in the bathroom and stains near the stairs, the cleaners confirmed that these were either pre-existing or addressed during their time at the property. They believe the leaf may have been brought in post-cleaning, as they would not have left such a visible issue unaddressed.
As independent contractors, the cleaners maintain that they worked hard within the allocated time, and they believe a pay deduction would not be fair. Any refund decision ultimately rests with them.
We deeply regret that this experience has been frustrating for you and acknowledge the shortcomings in service. We appreciate the additional details you provided, as they help us identify areas for improvement.

We have not indicated at any point that we believe rubbish was brought to the property and disposed of in the bin after the cleaners' visit. Could you please clarify where and when this was communicated?

As previously mentioned, not all items on your priority list were completed within the allotted time due to the extensive scope of work. One item was the removal of rubbish from the kitchen to the outdoor bins – pictured.

Regarding the floor markings, based on the provided photographs, the markings appeared to be paint drippings. This was also communicated by the cleaners who attended the property. As advised, removing these requires more thorough cleaning than mopping and vacuuming.

Really poor service then blame your customer!!

Booked a move out clean for Sunshine Coast in Dec 24. Two cleaners were supposed to come for 3 hours. Only one showed up. Cleaner got into an argument with the oven cleaner when cleaning the kitchen, rather than begin somewhere else in the house and let the oven cleaner finish up. Bathrooms cleaned to acceptable standard.

Ceiling fans weren't cleaned in any room. Kitchen wasn't cleaned at lower level on cupboards and food splash marks left either side of the dishwasher. Entrance hall and lounge areas (tiled) were not mopped.

When I submitted feedback after the clean to AD, the "customer service" person rang me to find out what had happened, ignoring all of the issues I'd identified, focussing solely on why I hadn't given the cleaner a priority list.

This company has no appropriate control level over the cleaners they use so it's a lottery as to what outcome you'll get. Then they compound that by having a call back system that blames the customer when their service is poor.

Avoid them unless your desperate or fancy rolling the dice. If I could rate it less than one star I would.

Our Area Coordinator called you on 10/12 to discuss the feedback you provided. It was noted that there was some confusion regarding the need for a priority list. Our cleaners operate based on a list of priorities provided by the client, as this ensures that the specific needs of each unique client and home are met within the time available. While you mentioned including notes in your original booking, the details provided ("Wipe down inside kitchen cupboards and drawers, same in bathrooms and wipe down skirting boards throughout") did not constitute a comprehensive list of all cleaning expectations. This gap in communication might have led to the cleaner not performing all tasks you were expecting.
Moreover, we understand that only one cleaner arrived instead of the expected team of two for three hours. Our booking confirmation email outlines how a team of 2 works, for instances when a team of two is assigned, but does not confirm that a team of 2 will be in attendance – we cannot confirm this until a cleaner is assigned. We also note that this booking confirmation email, the email you are referring to, also reiterated the need to provide a priority list to ensure that your expectations are met and the cleaners are aware of all cleaning tasks required.
We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to ensuring better communication and service delivery in the future. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we will take the necessary steps to prevent similar occurrences.

Cleaner- Very good job completed

Our domestic cleaner was briefed prior to the first clean. (Check list sent with specifics for each room). She completed all tasks and did a fabulous job. I was very happy with the result.

Smooth process & a great job!

Within a week of making the initial call to Absolute Domestics, my new cleaner was on my doorstep. She was very efficient & eager to please. The house was sparkling and I got back my weekends! Great job!

Less than good service

We hired a cleaner from Absolute Domestic to clean our bathroom and floors once a fortnight. The cleaner attended the property for the initial 2 hour clean and I was specific about the areas I wanted cleaned. The attention to detail was amazing and we were happy to have the same cleaner back on a regular fortnightly basis. On the next visit the attention to detail wasn't the same and was poorly done. There were visible areas of the bathroom that weren't even touched. I had to reclean everything which was frustrating because we had just paid a professional to do this work. I took photos and emailed the area manager who didn't offer a refund or a discounted reclean and just said the cleaner was busy doing other jobs which wasn't true because nothing else had been touched. I advised the area manager I would like a different cleaner going forward. Its been weeks now and they haven't hired a replacement yet keep messaging me saying they're working on it. Don't believe it when it says they will hire a new cleaner quickly and discreetly because that isn't true. It seemed like they did a fantastic job initially to get your business but then do a less than great job going forward.

Great job

Lovely couple. Did a great job. Absolute Domestic were very prompt in sourcing our cleaning couple. Communication between all players was effective. Our cleaning couple confirmed date and time when accepting the job and called again to reconfirm the evening before the clean.
Overall it has been a very successful experience for us. We would highly recommend Absolutely Domestic to anyone looking for a high quality clean of their home.

I'm glad I found absolute domestic

I'm glad I found absolute domestic. And if I could go back, I would've made this choice long time ago. I felt guilty that I needed help to maintain my house clean. I felt guilty that I was working so much (50/60 hours a week) and I was burning out. Before absolute domestic, my mental health was starting to be affected by all the things I needed to keep up with. I spoiled my family with a top to bottom clean house for the past 15 years,and all at the sudden, I couldn't keep up any more. Then I found absolute domestic and they sent me an angel, Rebecca (Bec). Not only my house is spotless again, but she is now part of my family and my routines. She is so understanding and cares for details. When needed she will do some extra which I highly appreciate. We have great communication and she never failed me. My mental health has improved sooooo much and I'll be forever grateful. Now, I understand that it's not to be ashamed or feel guilty if life gets chaotic, and we need an extra set of hands. Thanks Bec, and thanks to absolute domestic for helping me through this chaotic stage of my life. 💯 reccomend

Someone Let the Team Down

I’ve used Absolute Domestics before and they were great however, last time was for an end of lease clean where on the night before the cleaners were scheduled, the booking got cancelled. Although Absolute Domestics office tried to get someone last, no one was available which left us in the lurch. They did eventually arrange for another cleaner for two days later on the Sunday, however, upon speaking with that cleaner, he sounded so dodgy re pricing and sounded like he just wanted to take us for a ride, stating, “You should’ve come to me first” and saying it would take 10 - 12 hrs and kept talking over me.” Thus put us right off so didn’t go ahead with it. The person at the main office (Damian) was lovely though.

Update: Thank you Damian for following up what had occurred. Although it was an End of Lease per se, as the property was not clean when we took on the lease (esp. fans, blinds etc) and this was captured in our initial condition report when we moved in, did not need the oven cleaned (as we didn’t use it and it was new), this is what we were trying to ascertain with the person who contacted us.

I must say, the reason I’d wanted to go with your company was when we moved in, your cleaner Jason was great and when he’d finished earlier than expected, he charged less than expected. We appreciated his honesty. Hopefully next time will be a better experience. Once again, thank you for following up.
