I called to report fraud on my account
I called to report fraud on my account. This was the 3rd time about the same charge. After repeatedly being transferred from one person to another, I requested a supervisor. Bottom line, after being on hold for 55 minutes, I hung up without any resolution or being connected with anyone who could help. While I like my branch, I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND this bank for online services or any customer care and support. HORRIBLE! and, yes, they recognized that the charge was fraud!
5/3 Bank on Telegraph Rd are so friendly
The people at 5/3 on Telegraph Rd are so friendly. We call there and always get our answer. Aaron that we see for our CD's or other business is fantastic. He knows his product that is available and whats new on the market. My husband and I enjoy going to this bank.

The young gentleman there (Matthew) answered all questions politely, promptly and professionally. When needed he contacted others there for detailed information. We were provided all account information as well as an easy way to contact him with any further questions. He made us feel welcome and valued as new customers, no to mention being sure we were provided the best rate of return on our investment.

I had a 5/3rd HYSA
I had a 5/3rd HYSA, but they kept lowering the rate and when I called, they could not or would not tell me what the current rate. So I was in the process of moving money from 5/3 to AMEX. I verified my AMEX account per their process. The moment I started moving my money a 5/3rd rep called me about my checking and savings balances. I told her about my HYSA experience at 5/3 and told her I was moving my money to AMEX. Within an hour of that call 5/3 suspended by AMEX transfer account in their system. I called the number provided and was first told that I had insufficient funds of the transfer (totally incorrect) and the next time I called their call center in the Philipines I was told there was "suspicious activity on my AMEX account" and that I would need to contact AMEX. I called AMEX and they said everything was fine. I called the call center for the 3rd time and they said to wait another day. This whole situation was entirely unethical and appears to be designed for 5/3 to hold onto my money for as long as possible. It's still not rectified and I've wasted most of my day on this.

Needed to go in for a quick deposit and was greeted immediately when I walked in. The lady behind the counter was friendly and polite. Not a big banking moment but very refreshing in a rushed world that at times seems cold.

I recently visited the 5/3 bank on Army Trail Rd. in Bloomingdale to open a new checking account. While waiting briefly, I observed tellers greet a few customers by name which surprised me in these hectic times. I was quickly assisted by Angela, who went above and beyond in approaching our interaction with amiability & efficiency! Angela asked general questions that made the experience personalized & enjoyable, while leading me through the "boring, fine print" details of my account options in a manner that held my attention so I could actually retain the information & feel confident in my decisions. Angela also seemed to anticipate my needs as she detailed account features that would be helpful for my specific situation, while offering encouragement in areas where I felt anxious &/self-conscious. I just started college again at 42 & I'm getting back into working after an extended period of mental & physical health issues, so my visit to 5/3 was just one small part of my foray back into the "real world". The logistics of "starting over" in life can be intimidating, but the way Angela weaved encouragement into what's typically just a bunch of boring paper work boosted my confidence and left me feeling positive & capable. It really IS the small kindnesses and genuine positive communication that can make a person feel "seen", especially at pivotal points in our lives. I know it's just a checking/savings account, but I was treated with the same respect & importance a wealthy customer would receive. Overall, my experience with 5/3 was helpful, informative, and pleasant. Angela went above & beyond in her knowledge and communication. It's been awhile since I left a banking interaction with full peace and confidence, rather than confusion and irritation. As someone who's worked primarily in the service industry, I'm always impressed when someone "checks all the boxes" with an integrative approach. I have a serious complaint regarding the inconvenience i am experiencing with my bank online banking. i recently changed my phone but the number is the same. despite this,i am unable to access my account becuase the system does not recognize my new device. I contacted customer serv and even went t to the bank. both told me i have to wait 14 days for the system to update. this policy is unacceptable . it make no sense that a customer cannot check their transactions , view their balances, or monitor their account for such a long period of time. in todays world , immmediate access to financial information is essential. a 14 days waiting period puts customers at risk and creates unnecessary stress. This outdated policy needs to be changed because it is causing the bank to lose clients.

Wanted to open a bank account for checking and savings. The bank associate was very professional and helpful. Managed to get in and out in a timely manner. Got all questions answered and would definitely recommend anyone of my friends and family to open an account at fifth third bank.
