This has been an absolutely unacceptable level of service. We have been unable to contact anyone despite repeated attempts, and today—when we are due to exchange contracts for our mortgage renewal—we have received no communication whatsoever.

As a direct result of this lack of responsiveness and professionalism, we now face the very real risk of being forced onto a variable rate mortgage, which will cost us a significant amount of money. This situation has been caused by the solicitors’ lack of communication, urgency, and basic customer care.

We have raised this issue with Barclays, who originally recommended this firm, due to the serious concerns about how our case has been handled.

It is completely unacceptable that such a critical process is being managed with this level of disregard. All that was required was clear communication and timely action—neither of which has been provided. Instead, we have been left in the dark at a crucial stage.

We are now seeking legal advice with a view to recovering any financial losses their failures may cause us. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before using this firm.

Good service and respectful

I had a couple of occasions where I received a call, I answered, but no one spoke. Then I called back and dealt with your awful automated telephone system. Once I'd navigated that, I got asked for all the information again, and then there is no one available to talk to. Plus the redemption figures were wrong and it took a lot of explaining (for what seemed obvious to me), to get that sorted. Overall too much reliance on bad tech, not enough personal service. But we got there in the end. I highly advise that you rethink your Interactive voice response system. Its terrible!

I've had three dealings with this firm all through (re)mortgage applications (recommended by the bank) and each time is worse. They end up costing you more money through interest on your mortgage because of their incompetence. No one has a clue what’s going on. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Optima have demonstrated a significant lack of competence in handling anything beyond a straightforward mortgage transfer. Throughout the process, there were repeated and unnecessary delays, ultimately resulting in the remortgage completion date being missed. As a direct consequence, I was forced onto my lender’s variable rate, incurring additional costs of approximately £500.

Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to consider alternative solicitors, particularly where the case is assigned to their so-called “complex team,” as this appears to introduce further inefficiencies and delays.

I felt the guidelines provided for completing the mortgage deed were unclear, which led to us filling them out incorrectly. However, when I phoned and spoke to an adviser, they were extremely helpful and resolved the issue quickly. The customer service advisers are excellent.

This company is absolutely a joke, my remortgage is on their hand, and there is only 2 days left before the deadline, and their website server run of the message capacity, and you cannot reach out to the team for inquiry, and they never response your question ( sent on 23/4 and no answer since then).
If you are thinking to partner with them, think carefully.
