Avoid this company

We rented our lodge through 1066, everything was fine at the beginning but then we had bookings but no payments for them, we have been waiting 6 months for payment for the rental of our lodge, avoid this company at all costs they do not deliver on what they promise

This stay was completely unacceptable

This stay was completely unacceptable. We were locked out for over 5 hours, left outside in the cold with our belongings. Despite requesting the lockbox code at 15:04, it was not provided until 20:05, and repeated calls went unanswered.
On arrival, the property was freezing and the boiler was not working. Resetting it multiple times made no difference—there was no heating or hot water. The host’s responses were slow, dismissive, and failed to resolve anything. We were forced to sleep in freezing conditions, and two members of our group became unwell.
Airbnb support was unhelpful and simply redirected us back to an unresponsive host. Steer clear of this property. All in all terrible service and unacceptable stay !! We have proof and pictures to account all the above and have posted some images on the Google review if anyone wants to see !

Not holiday rentals this is a scam

We wanted to rent our static caravan out when we weren't there so had a meeting with 1066 and sounded good as she guaranteed regular payments from monies earnt from rentals we understood that they have a percentage but it was all wrong and the repairs they made were ridiculously over charged.
We booked a weekend at our own caravan and when we arrived the locks had been changed which I understand but we were given wrong code for key safe and no one answered at office we total disaster.
So wasn't working and spoke to someone in there office about leaving and I said I wanted to give the notice required and they said no problem but months later we got £400 bill for not giving notice.
All in all terrible experience wouldn't recommend to anyone

Your review has been submitted only after we have made repeated attempts to contact you regarding an outstanding balance on your account. Prior to this, no formal complaints were raised with us, and we were not given the opportunity to address these concerns directly.

With regard to the agreement, all terms — including management fees, maintenance costs, access arrangements, and notice periods — are clearly outlined and agreed upon before onboarding. The notice period and associated charges are part of the contractual agreement, which is standard practice and was in place to ensure operational continuity.

In relation to the issues you mentioned during your stay, we regret that there was difficulty accessing the property at that time. This is not reflective of our usual service standards, and we would have welcomed the opportunity to resolve this promptly had we been made aware through our usual support channels.

We categorically refute the suggestion that our business operates as a scam. We are a legitimate and established company providing services to many satisfied owners and guests.

We remain open to resolving this matter professionally and encourage you to contact us directly so we can work towards a fair resolution regarding the outstanding balance.

Luxury accommodation in perfect location

1066 Holidays offer fantastic holiday rentals on Rye Harbour Holiday Park. Easy check in, 5* accommodation with immaculate decoration, fully fitted kitchen and spacious bedrooms with en suites. Location perfect overlooking the river and reservoir.

Beauport Holiday Park



This lodge was fantastic! It boasts beautiful decor and is fully equipped along with a dishwasher and washing machine. The location was perfect and communication was excellent. I will definitely be booking again

Newbeach Dymchurch park it's self was…great but caravan disgusting

Newbeach Dymchurch park it's self was fine. The caravan was old and tired originally booked 10 berth but was cancelled due to sale and this 8 berth was a replacement and a downgrade which we didn'tknow at the time and definitely not worth the money paid. 7 Adults in this tinny space. Caravan was dirty and smelled of drains and large bedroom stank of urine. The whole caravan needs needs to be given a deep.clean or maybe sell this one! The bedding for the pull out bed was unusable luckily we had our own sleeping bag. We will not be coming back .

A comfortable stay at Beauport Holiday…

A comfortable stay at Beauport Holiday Park. The accommodation lacked some essentials. We also had water coming through which soaked the carpet but when we rang 1066 they were very helpful and sent two maintenance guys to repair it who themselves were very friendly and helpful. Good communication with 1066 but the laundry facilities let us down. 2 dryers did not work properly and no one in the office could help us or provide a refund. Very annoying as we had torrential downpours for 2 days.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Pleased that we were able to sort the leak out quickly. Unfortunately as we are only a management agent we have no control over the park facilities and we are sorry about the laundry issues.

Filthy caravan, no customer service

We turned up to the caravan in Dymchurch to find a smelly, dirty and ant ridden property. The carpets were absolutely disgusting. The hair and fur in the carpets was the worst I have ever seen in any carpet. Even on the laminate there was crumbs, fluff, bits of tissue etc. The toilet floors were gross, with thick hair and grime in the corners and behind the toilet. There was muck under the beds and sofas. The laminate was so, so dirty. I called 1066 holidays immediately and was told I would hear back from someone asap if I emailed them. So I did that and did not receive a response so called back an hour later to be told they couldn't specify when someone would get back to me and the office was closed. So we left and drove home. I absolutely could not spend a single night in that filth. Reading other reviews I assume I will have a battle on my hands for a refund given the lack of customer service. Goggling the telephone number i see that they also have their own cleaning firm which is so very ironic

Awful state of one of their property's

Awful state of one of their property's.
No response to communication regarding dreadful quality. White Haven caravan on Park Resorts site at Winchelsea Beach.
Property absolutely not as described on the VRBO Site or their own site.
Dirty, smelly, old and worn, shabby, mouldy, rusty etc etc etc

Unsafe, unclean and unsupportive

The state of the property was absolutely disgusting. There was dirt, food crumbs and food stains on the kitchen floor which hadn’t been cleaned. The bathroom radiator was completely rusty, the shower rusty and the shower door not even fitting the shower frame. The window in the smaller room was broken and unable to close at all making the property unsafe. The property smelt very bad. The property listing images are incorrect this is not the same caravan and if it is these pictures where taken when it was brand new - the property listing says sleeps 6 but it doesn’t it sleeps 4 and there is no addition bedding provided. Being able to rectify this with 1066 was the most confusing process ever - you have to email for a response the response tells you to call the warden the warden tells you to email! I called 6 times over 3 hours sent several emails … The staff at parkdean were unable to assist as the property is private. 1066 never sent anyone to clean the room and did not send anyone to rectify the broken window and have never contacted me to follow up. This meant that we stayed in a property where the window was compromised. Gone through booking.com cos form the reviews it seems they have taken my money and will be keeping it - small claims court I think!

Absolutely terrible experience

Absolutely terrible experience !
Still on the holiday and trying to make the most if it for the children's sake as it is our only holiday this year.

Caravan is old , scruffy , horrible smell from drains. No decking - just a drop from the patio windows! So dangerous !
No entertainment as advertised for passes .... apparently starts next week but we were not informed of this. I questioned the company before coming as photos were not that great and they said that the photos were old , reassured me that it was in great condition!
Was miss sold this holiday and we are not happy . Have emailed but not even had a response! Never again !

Would score a zero but have to score at least a 1 star to be able to write on here.
Worst experience we've had with a weekend break, customer service is horrendous. Any problems that arise complaints they blame yourself.. we had no gas during our stay and front door didnt shut or lock properly yet when we phoned there was no empathy, and they actually blamed us. Also filthy cutlery and crockery, took photos. Would defo stir clear. Convo has been screen shot for proof. They don't reply to emails and refused us a refund.

Disgusting .

Intended to stay for 4 weeks in a "lodge" at Beauport Park.
Lasted 20 hrs .
1066 refused to change the Matress on the bed it was heavily stained with human DNA and smelled disgusting, they attempted to cover the old matress with a matress topper which had dried sperm on . The whole place smelled of damp dog and cheesy feet , the smell was so bad I had to open all windows just to sit in there.
I had to buy my own bedding a throw to sit on the stinking sofa and £70 of cleaning products and spent the entire morning cleaning it still didn't make any difference to the god awful smell .
The property looked nice but not fit for humans .
If I can load the photos I will , if not I will load them to trip advisor and Google reviews .
1066 would not entertain any of it I did leave them half a bottle of fabreeze and left the matress on show so they could have a sleep on it as they did not seem to think there was anything wrong with it .

Terrible company.

Terrible company.
I asked them to come and check chemicals on my recently filled pool. The man came chatted mainly about life, he the. Took five minutes to test my pool told me he didn’t have the chemicals I needed to correct a minor level in alkalinity, and apart from that my pool was in perfect condition. He Advised what chemicals to buy and how much to add and left.
I did what was advised and ended up with a cloudy pool with levels of chemicals off the scale. I was at a loss what to do, and of course that is why I called them to get a better understanding of chemicals and care for my pool. I did ring them and after practically being called a liar, I was begrudgingly offered to have someone come out again, I refused and had to in the end empty my pool, as no amount of chemicals I added were going to help. Two weeks later they asked me for payment! The emails went on demanding payment even lying about how long they been there! even from their owner who was quite rude. Not even sorry…
I paid in the end to stop the stress of future emails. They didn’t care they just wanted money!
Horrid company, awful advice and service!
Id call someone else! Because when their advice goes wrong they don’t care!
Horrid rude company.
